What type of weld can I use on Manganese Alloy?
I want to weld this break but I'm not sure if the odd metal its made of would pose a problem. Made of a manganese steel alloy, I think a few other metals are in there.

Peugeot Frame Repair
I commute daily on this 80’s Peugeot Aubisque and the frame broke at the back wheel last week. Didn’t even realize when it happened, i thought my wheel was loose/wobbling.
My question is: Can i get a guy at work to do a quick weld on it or do i need a bike professional?
I don’t care too much about aesthetics. The bike is pretty scratched up already. My only concern is that it’s made of a Manganese alloy. I quick google says it could become brittle if heated.
Any advice?

Installing roof vent for bathroom exhaust.
I’m renovating my bathroom and I’m thinking about adding an exhaust fan. I can’t seem to find many resources on installing a vent for a flat/non shingled roof.
From what i’ve seen it looks like i can just cut a hole and stick a pvc pipe through. Then use a liquid patch with fabric to seal it.
Do I need to secure the pipe somehow? Do i need to put a hood/cap on it? Should i even bother installing the vent? The bathroom is pretty small and has a window.
I appreciate any thoughts or useful links, thanks.
