Theories, speculation and headcanons about lightsaber resistant materials

What are your theories, ideas and headcanons you have about the various metals, ores and other materials which are capable of resisting lightsabers such as Beskar, Cortosis, Phrik and others in Star Wars universe whenever it's about their history and origins, where to find them, and the way they are mined or forged or used, their cultural importance for those who use them as well as those they are used against most famously the Jedi?

Which one is the most practical? Which one is the most expensive or cheapest? Who found the best use of them?

I like to imagine that the Morgukai were the ones who found and developped the process of purifying Cortosis which turns the metal which desactivates lightsabers but is otherwise brittle into a nearly-indestructible metal; with said method being later used by Imperial Knights for their armors and gauntlets; through millenias of forging, use and experimentations with the precious metal they use to make their weapons, armor and gauntlets with which they famously fought Jedi for centuries.

How to make the perfect prison for Jedi and other Force users?

How would you make the Citadel or another prison perfect for holding the Jedi and other Force users enemies or traitors to the CIS?

Which equipement, guards and security features and countermeasures would you add to the Citadel or other prisons to prevent Jedi and others from escaping or infiltrating?

I would have the prisons and wardens equipped with sonic blasters, ray shields, lots of Droidekas, Grapple Droids, Cortosis weapons, and perhaps even add Ysalamiris or Vornskr thanks to their unique Force abilities very useful against Jedi.

Other than his Kaleesh Kolkpravis, with which troops would Grievous have loved to fight the most against the Republic and Jedi?

General Grievous' contempt for battle droids, whom he viewed as largely inferior to his beloved Kaleesh Kolkpravis, and for having to rely on them as his main troops is famous with him having little patience for them and no qualm at using them as cannon fodder or destroying them if they annoy him. Only his Magnaguards had a treatment of favor but even they weren't enough in his eyes, as while he knew and valued their fighting prowess, he lamented that unlike his Izvoshra Magnaguards had no ability for command and leadership or making plans.

Other than the Kolpravis, which troops, mostly organics, do you think that Grievous would have been happy to use and lead into battle against the Jedi and their Clone troopers and other organic militias fighting for the Republic during the Clone Wars? Which CIS organic armies and militias do you think that he would have respected the most and be glad to have on his side during battle?

Which other armies from species or organisations not belonging to the CIS but neither to the Republic, would he hav respected and enjoyed fighting with in battle?

I'm sure that Grievous would have valued the Mandalorian Protectors, even more with Durge hating them due to his grudge against Mandalorians and that he would have been bitter that Dooku allied with them after he joined the CIS to kill Clones as Mandalorian sions, and would have used and given them crucial missions against strategic Republic positions with how efficient they were.

I am also sure that he enjoyed leading the Togorians against Republic forces during the Battle of Togoria, with Togorians being fiersome warriors with amazing strength, agility and speed and how they slaughtered the Clone Troopers.

He may also have valued Trandoshan Elite mercenaries, with how strong and heavily armed and armored they are, and Koorivar Fusiliers, Neimoidian soldiers (he may have amusingly viewed them as a credit to their species, much like Lushros Dofine) and Gossam Commandos. And he would surely have wanted to see the Morgukai Shadow Army reaches its full potential and to fight alongside them with the reputation of Morgukai as warriors and how even the Jedi feared the potential of said army and were desperate to destroy it.

How should the members and factions of the Separatist Council have been written?

I always have found the various members of the Separatist Council, aside from Nute Gunray, as well as the Mega-Corporations and factions they represented and led to be cruelly neglected and underused in terms of lore and their distinct personalities and roles in the Clone Wars.

This is especially the case for San Hill despite ironically his crucial role as Chairman of the IGBC and his role in Grievous' story as well as his connection with Darth Plagueis, Shu Mai as the leader of the Commerce Guild which is supposed to be the main source of raw materials for the CIS and for the Death Star and her being described as the most heinous of the CIS leaders, Passel Argente who was the only member who tried to contest and overthrow Dooku as leader, and Po Nudo who did even get any characterization.

How would you have written and used these Separatist Council leaders and their respective factions during the Clone Wars stories? How to give them more developped and distinct personalities and roles in the Council and war?

Best troops to deal with the Jedi and Clone troopers?

If you were a general for our beloved Confederacy of Independent Systems, and were given the means and choice of which troops, both droids and organic soldiers and militias, you want to lead and use in battle against the corrupt Jedi and their vatborn soldiers in your next theater of operations, which troops would you choose based on their qualities and advantages against the Jedi and their clones?

What would have been the best ship and starfighter doctrines for the Imperial Navy?

After the Clone Wars and during the Galactic Civil War the Galactic Empire modeled its navy based on the lessons learned from the Clone Wars and on the Tarkin Doctrine, favoring the massive production and uses of Star Destroyers and other large ships with lots of firepower and use of huge swarms of Tie Fighters without much autonomy or Hyperdrives, most often at the cost of starfighters with superior armament and shielding and with long range and autonomy, which was largely taken advantage of by the Rebel Alliance and its long-range and often stronger and better protected starfighters, and which played a role in the Empire's failues to put down the rebels and eventual downfall.

Which naval doctrines would have been better for the Imperial Navy, both in terms of capital ships and of starfighters, to allow it to better patrol and keep control over the galaxy, and better respond to the Rebel Alliance and other resistances, without giving up on Star Destroyers and other heavy ships? Which would have been the best compromises for it?

How powerful of a Jedi or Dark Jedi or Sith could Kar Vastor have been?

Kar Vastor is a Korun, a human Force user from the planet of Haruun Kal and thus a countryman of Mace Windu who was born on Haruun Kal as well, who serves as one of the main antagonists of Shatterpoint, the novel where Mace returns to his savage homeworld during the Clone Wars in a terrible civil war, and later plays a role in Shadows of Mindor where he was possessed by Cronal/Blackhole until being freed by Luke.

Vastor never had proper Force user training, having never been taken in by the Jedi or any other Force religion unlike Mace, but managed to develop and use his powers to a surprising degree to survive the nightmarish jungles of Haruun Kal by drawing upon the darkness in the jungle, being capable of healing himself, having incredible strength and lightning fast speed and reflexes, and with Mace comparing his raw power to Yoda and Anakin's.

How powerful and talented of a Jedi do you think that he could have become if he had been found and taken to the Jedi Temple like Mace, and been trained as a Jedi instead of staying on Haruun Kal, or if he had joined Luke's New Jedi Order after the latter freed him from Cronal?

Or on the other hand how dangerous and terrifying could he have been as a Dark Jed if found and trained as a Dark Acolyte, Inquisitor or Hand of the Emperor? Could he have become a Sith, and if yes how powerful and terrifying could he have become if trained in the ways of the Sith?

Neglected and underdeveloped technologies in Star Wars?

What are some technologies present in Star Wars universe, whenever they are means of transport or communication, military weapons or vehicles, intelligence or counter-intelligence, medical or everyday life uses which you know exist but find cruelly neglected and underused or underdeveloped in Star Wars and its EU? How would you use and develop them further than they were in Star Wars and its EU stories?

Favorite CIS victory?

What is your favorite battle in the Clone Wars where the CIS won, with the Republic forces and Jedi being defeated, an instance which was shown far too rarely onscreen in every CW media? For which reasons do you find this CIS victory your personal favorite?

The CIS leaders and forces present? The scale of the victory? The tactics used to crush the Republic forces? Others?

It's nothing surprising but the Battle of Hypori is my favorite with how complete of a crushing victory it was for the CIS with all of the Republic forces bar a few Jedi surviving the battle, and it being the glorious introduction of General Grievous with him taking on five Jedi at once, including three masters and two Jedi Council members, and winning.

What makes you love the CIS military?

What are the reasons why you guys love the CIS military, be it its navy, its land or sea forces, and its droids and organic forces?

I love the CIS military because of its uniqueness in designs, appearances, and immense diversity and versatility with all kinds of Droids within its ranks from the ordinary B1 to the Octuptarra passing by the Buzz Droid, various Spiders and Crabs Droids, Snail-like Persuader Tanks or the Hailfire Droid;but also having many diverse and other memorable organic units in it such as the Nimbus Commandos, Morgukai Shadow Army, Geonosian Elites or Mandalorian Protectors.

The CIS navy is also unique with the designs of both its capital ships and starfighters as well as their diversity of designs and shapes, which give them an unique identity, on the complete opposite of the Republic and later Imperial navy and its reliance on the Star Destroyers with the same base design and appearance.
