I’ve been using the Caswell zinc plating and there’s quite a lot of undissolved solids in the bath. Is this good? Is it normal? Should I strain it out? It doesn’t dissolve when I heat it up or mix it around. I also have difficulty getting things coated with zinc or getting the finish I want even though I’m pretty sure my amperage is set properly (about .1A per square inch). Sometimes I can sometimes I can’t. Is that the culprit ?

Is it likely I could still be semi successful at day trading even without using level 2. I’m new and really don’t understand how to incorporate level 2 data, and also Schwab doesn’t have it. I don’t want to pay for DAS because I don’t know if it’s worth it yet.

So I’m new. I’ve been trying a simple strategy on Robinhood. 3 times today I went to buy, but my order was pending on the tape. It didn’t get taken. It just sat there until I deleted it because the opportunity was gone and the price had gone up and up and was ready to fall. Those 3 times today I would’ve made money, one of them over $250 if my buy order went through. I’m just so annoyed, why won’t my buy get picked up but other people’s will? It actually really annoyed me because I lost a little money today but with those ones I missed I would’ve finished with several hundred positive today. I’m actually pretty mad. It’s so discouraging. Why does this happen to me

I had moderate acne in highschool and went on acutane when I was 18. But now in my early 20s it seems like weekly I get random pimples, just like one or two, typically beside my mouth, on my chin, or just on my cheeks/jaw area, never really my forehead. They go away after a few days. It’s not like a breakout where my face is covered, but it is annoying and makes shaving inconvenient. As I’m typing I had a thought that maybe it’s my pillow when I sleep? Maybe hair product or oils from my head get on my pillow and my face touches it? Is that a common issue?

I shower daily, sometimes wash my face after the gym or something.

Just not sure why these random spots appear.

So I’m new. I have a good income and I’m not afraid to take some risks as I realize that it’s hard to get rich off of just working my regular job like a robot. So I figured I’d learn the stock market game a little bit, knowing that there’s a chance I will lose some money. My current strategy is finding one or two stocks and learning their highs and lows as best I can. They’re both technology/chip stocks at the moment. Of course I can’t be certain what they will do but I have a decent idea now. I’ve just been buying low and selling high, and playing it safe. So far I’ve been taking it easy and made around $500 in the past few weeks. Some small like $30 scores, one over $100, even one making like $250.

Now I know this maybe isn’t the most effective strategy and i won’t make tons of money but it’s a start and i really don’t have the time or knowledge to do real day trading.

Any advice?

I’m new to stocks, I’ve been using one stock, buying low selling high. I’ve made money. I had like $6500 in my portfolio, about $10,000 in this one stock waiting for the price to climb. Half that is matched by broker I guess so I guess it’s around $5000 of my own money. Anyway the price of the stock dropped, which is no big deal, I know it’ll come up, but I logged in and my portfolio total had lost $2800. Is that because I’m below the maintenance cost? It’s like the money disappeared. I’m down about $900 in the stock, but it’s like my portfolio money just got chopped out of nowhere. I don’t know what happened. When will it come back? I’m confused and I don’t even know if I’ve explained it correctly.

I have a big transaction to do for a private sale on a motorcycle. I looked up the PayPal charge and it’s 3% of what I’m sending. So on top of the 9000 I’ll also pay 270.
Venmo doesn’t have a fee right?
Why should I use one over the other? What should I use?

How do you find what to trade. Is it typically obscure stocks, or high profile ones? Price ranges? What should I look for and how?

Hi all. Not necessarily engineering specific, but I am a 3AE in the US. I’m looking for recommendations or ideas on how to make a little money online on my spare time, if possible. I’m also wondering on legalities. I’m not very smart on the legal side of things, so I’m just wondering if some companies have issues with people making money simultaneously onboard. For all you smart people, why am I good at singing quietly but not loudly. What can I do to make the transition. Is there not necessarily a correlation? Can everyone sound good when singing quietly?
