Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day forty-five: Joe Devlin(s7e5)

Dr. Mason proved that he could probably stand to use his self-help course, getting a third villain in a row in the completely braindead tier. But here comes the final villain of the 70s run, two-fisted Irishman Joe Devlin, who’s fixing to end that streak! Can his plan and execution do it, or were they not worth a bottle of Irish dew? Same rules as always, but I’d better see at least one review of his scheme in the form of a limerick.

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day forty-four: Eric Mason(s7e4)

Kay Freestone seems to be into the idea of getting a streak going, winding up in the completely braindead tier. Now it’s time to see if Eric Mason’s plan and execution continue that streak or not… just be careful, murder or attempted murder is his solution to every single problem he faces in the episode, so I don’t know how well he’ll take it if he winds up in a low tier. Same rules as always!

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day forty-three: Kay Freestone(s7e3)

After a very well-received appetizer and main course, the Paul trio failed at desert, with Mr. Gerard landing in the completely braindead tier. Now, it’s Kay Freestone’s turn! Was her plan and execution worthy of primetime, or was it like two minutes of musical buttons? Same rules as always

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day forty-two: Paul Gerard(s7e2)

Abigail Mitchell landed herself a spot in the well thought out tier. Now for this hot suspect(Columbo’s words, not mine), Mr. Paul Gerard. Get your geishas ready and determine if his plan and execution was a five-star meal, or not worth a box of Bon Snax. Same rules as always!

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day forty-one: Abigail Mitchell(s7e1)

Oliver Brandt won’t be too tickled about his result, closing season 6 off with another mostly good, some flaws. Now it’s time for the anti Mrs. Melville, Abigail Mitchell! Was her plan and execution worthy of her books, or was it anything but? Same rules as always

Murder: A Self Portrait music inquiry

I just finished up Murder: A Self Portrait and I thought that the instrumental music in it, particularly during the first act and the dream sequences were great. I know a lot of episodes have their soundtracks on YouTube, but I can’t find anything for this episode, does anyone know something I don’t in that regard?

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day forty: Oliver Brandt(s6e3)

Ruth Lytton’s TRIPLE homicide landed her in the same tier as Ward Fowler, starting a pattern for season 6 that I’m curious if it’ll continue here or not. It’s time for The Tickle Monster himself, Oliver Brandt! Was his plan and execution worthy of a Sigma Society member, or did it belong in the trash with his gun? Same rules as always!

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-nine: Ruth Lytton(s6e2)

Sorry for the delay, I was having technological issues yesterday. Lucerne would be very disappointed with Ward Fowler for landing himself in mostly good, some flaws. Now, let’s determine if Ruth’s plan and execution were worthy of fainting in shock, or if they were anything but. Same rules as always!

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-eight: Ward Fowler(s6e1)

Swanny has hopefully beaten any popularity contest allegations, getting himself in the well thought out tier. Three guesses on how he’ll celebrate that one! Now TV’s Ward Fowler is itching for his turn in the ring, so get your best ski mask on, don’t get attacked by an inflatable shark, and vote for the quality of his plan and execution! Same rules as always

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-seven: Swanny Swanson(s5e6)

The Great Santini knew you’d put him in mostly good, some flaws. To close off season five, it’s time for everyone’s favorite episode and killer! Yay! Get absolutely wasted and get to voting on if Swanny’s plan and execution ‘tis genius, or ‘tisn’t. Same rules as always!

Columbo video game idea

I’ve been thinking a lot about how someone could make a Columbo video game, and I’m wondering if this idea sounds fun or not. It would be a visual novel with freedom to move around areas when not in VN mode, like the Ace Attorney: Investigations game. During talks with suspects, you’d have to choose dialogue options from the listed choices and the pieces of evidence you’ve gotten to progress the case and not lose the investigation. There would be two modes for each episode, Howcatchem mode and Whodunnit mode. Howcatchem mode would just be playing through the episodes of the show as they’re given, but for Whodunnit mode, each episode would have the same characters as the actual one, but things like how and why the murder was committed, the victim, and the killer would be switched around from the actual episode for people who want more of a challenge in solving the cases (and it’d be a fun way to see characters like David Lang who weren’t killers on the show in the position of a killer).

Luis Montoya landed in the needs improvement tier, and the main attraction has begun! He may already know which one will be picked, but it’s time to get to voting on which tier Herr Müller will be ranking in for his plan and execution. Same rules as always!

Nelson Brenner becomes the first completely unanimous vote, not beating Paul Hanlon’s record but still getting a spot in the criminal genius tier. Now it’s Luis Montoya’s turn… was his plan and execution competent, or was him getting as far as he did a bunch of bull? Same rules as always!

DAE think it’s kind of disturbing the way some supposed “fans” treat the DC contestants? It’s like they forget that they’re real people sometimes :/

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-four: Nelson Brenner(s5e3)

The votes went back and forth between well thought out and pretty dumb, but in an incredibly close margin, the former won for Hassan Salah. Now it’s time to determine if Nelson Brenner knows enough about committing perfect crimes as he does about the music you play in your house. Same rules as always!

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-three: Hassan Salah(s5e2)

It’s seeming to escape her memory what exactly, but Grace Wheeler won well thought out for something, good for her. Now it’s time to rank the plan and execution of Hassan Salah, who… I honestly can’t think of any jokes for, this episode bores the hell outta me. Same rules as always!

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-two: Grace Wheeler(s5e1)

Doc Collier really should have hypnotized himself into giving himself a brain, as his choice to not just call the cops after Carl’s death landed him in the completely braindead tier. Now to celebrate her triumphant return to showbiz which will absolutely be happening, we’ve got Grace Wheeler. I’m up for the challenge of trying to put her in one of the pre-established tiers, but this is the one case where I would potentially be willing to add some kind of tier due to the odd circumstances, but only if the majority decision is that.

Ranking Columbo villains’ plans day thirty-one: Mark Collier(s4e6)

Van Wyck proved that he is very capable of finding his way to the commissary, landing in the criminal genius tier. Now it’s time for cool cat Mark Collier, who has instructed me to tell you all to close your eyes, listen to his words, and put him in the highest tier possible. Same rules as always!

Hayden Danziger vas placed in the mostly good, some flaws tier. Check your digital vatches, because it’s time to see if Harold Van Wyck’s plan and execution vere as clever and innovative as his technology, or if they had the competence of a man who couldn’t find his vay to the commissary vithout an order.
