How to make a block item unplaceable?

You know how fence gates look like goggles when you put them on your head? Im gonna make night vision goggles using them by giving a fence gate item the "wearable" attribute, but the player has the option of placing down the fence gate. Is there an NBT attribute that I can give to the fence gate so it is unplaceable? or do I have to put command blocks that set the player holding the fence gate to adventure mode automatically?

Edit: thanks for the help, but changing the item model makes it so that if you wear the item it still shows as the item it actually is on your person

How do phone cameras see infrared sometimes?

If you look at a tv remote with your phone camera youll see the infrared light coming out, but your phone cant function as a night vision camera because of a certain ir filter in its camera/lens. So can I see infrared from my phone or not? And if my camera filters the ir light how can I see the infrared light from the tv remote?

How to do calculations for a parabolic dish antenna?

Well im gonna be using a parabolic dish antenna to transmit a low power 500 MHz signal. According to my gain calculations the antenna has to have a diameter of around 25 cm for a gain im okay with (gonna 3D print a skeleton of the antenna and use aluminium sheets to make a diy antenna probably). But I cant seem to find any resources on how to calculate the capacitive reactence or impedence of the antenna. any help? (also if anyone knows a good tutorial for diy parabolic dish antennas itd be great :D)

How to hijack the mic input?

Well im making an oscillator circuit but i do not own an oscilloscope to measure the output. There are online oscilloscope programs that can use the microphone of your device as input, but my output current is too low to drive a small speaker. I though maybe i could cut the wires from a earphone and connect its mic input to the oscillator and its jack output to my phone so my phone would think of the signals as sound waves. But i am confused on what i should connect to where. (Colpitts oscillator of around 1 MHz btw)

Why use a square wave as the carrier wave in an AM transmitter?

Okay so im confused about one specific video i saw.

https://youtu.be/mcD3uBld4Y4?si=wDd1YLq8abt20vXq

Amazing video, explains every part nicely. But why did he turn the sine wave into a square wave before modulation? this is the first and only circuit ive seen that doesnt use a sine wave as the carrier wave (and specifically prefers the square wave).

is there a benefit that square carrier waves provide? or is it because the main amplifier he used works from square waves?

Whatsgonna happen for Petscop 10th anniversary?

i know Tony havent really said anything about anniversaries but its a whole decade of Petscop! Im not expecting him to gather us all around the campfire and tell us the whole story of Petscop or against all odds announce Petscop 2™ but maybe we'll get a vague twitter post heh? I hope the community maybe makes an event or something.

I am going to use a tranmisster and receiver that work on the 433 Mhz frequency to send a signal over a long distance. I will be using 12V so I can have a strong signal but I am not sure of how to make the antennas? The lenght of the wire is not really an issue for my intent but I would like the antenna to be as sturdy as possible so I am thinking about a helical antenna. I have copper wires of varying gauges I can use. I tried to do my research but couldnt come to a comprehensible result. any help would be appericiated!
