Help!! Do I have any chances to get in these colleges?

I’m so confused if I will get into ruia, kc or upg for msc biotechnology.. i scored 83.63% in my 5-6 semesters. Do you think I have a decent chance or I should just lose the hope?😭

HELP! I AM SO CONFUSED!

Applied for MSc Biotech in Ruia, KC and SIES, and MAEMA in UPG + KC. I have 83.63% in sem 5-6 and around 78% aggregate with OBC NCL category.

I’m not from Mumbai so I’m honestly kinda stressed about admissions 😭

Do you guys think I have decent chances in these colleges? Especially UPG and Ruia since people say they’re competitive.

Also if anyone here studied in these colleges, how was your experience?

Mumbai University application issue — documents rejected & no edit option visible

Hi everyone,

I had already submitted my application in MU, but now the portal is showing that my documents were “not properly submitted / unclear.” In one form

The problem is.. I don’t see any option to edit or re-upload the documents and It’s also not allowing me to withdraw the form

Has anyone faced this before? How do I re-upload the documents or correct the application? Do I have to wait for the university to unlock it.

Help!! Do I have any chances?

I’m planning to move to Mumbai for higher studies this year and wanted some honest opinions from students/seniors.

My marks are: Sem 5 + Sem 6 percentage: 84% and Overall aggregate (all semesters combined): around 78%

I come from a BSc background and I have applied for:

  • Ruia Autonomous College — MSc Biotechnology

  • UPG — MAEMA course

As backup options, I’ve also applied to KC college for both courses.

I wanted to ask, Do I realistically have chances of getting into the merit list of any of them? Which marks matter more during admissions … Sem 5 & 6 or overall aggregate?

I’m getting very mixed opinions from people, so I’d really appreciate genuine guidance from students who know about these admissions 😭 Thank you!

Chances of getting into M.Sc. Biotechnology at Ruia College with a B.Sc. Biology degree?

Hey everyone,

I’m an outsider student trying to figure out my actual chances for PG admissions at Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College this year. I just submitted my application form for M.Sc. Biotechnology, but I'm stressing out over the strict eligibility rules.

myquals: • UG Degree: B.Sc. in Biology

• Overall Aggregate: 78.89% firs div.

• Third Year (Sem 5 & 6) Score: 83.67% (502/600).

• Syllabus: My course had heavy chunks of Chemistry all three years, plus specific papers in Molecular Genetics, Genetic Engineering, and Biotechnology.

My main worry: The Ruia prospectus specifically mentions a "B.Sc. Biotechnology degree with minimum 20 credits in Chemistry," but it also says the "Decision of the equivalence committee will be final." Since my degree is a general B.Sc. in Biology and not a pure B.Sc. in Biotech, do you think the equivalence committee will reject my form during verification?

Has anyone with a general Life Science/Biology background successfully cleared their equivalence check for the pure Biotech track before? Please help me out, 😭🙏🏻

MSc Biotech Admission 2026: Seeking merit-based colleges

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some urgent advice regarding MSc Biotechnology admissions under Mumbai University for the 2026-27 session.

Here’s my situation: • Academics: I scored 83% in my last semester and my overall graduation aggregate is around 78.5%.

• The Catch: I haven't appeared for any entrance exams (skipped them entirely due to some reasons).

• Preference: I’m looking for solid colleges in Mumbai that offer admission on a merit basis (based on BSc marks).

I already know that St. Xavier's and Mithibai usually have their own entrance tests or specific criteria (though some sources say Mithibai might be merit-based for some PG courses, it's a bit confusing).

Can you guys suggest other reputed colleges affiliated with MU that accept students based on graduation marks for MSc Biotech? I’ve heard about Jai Hind, Sophia, and Wilson College, but I’m not 100% sure about their current admission process for Biotech.

Forgot to add MU application number in Xavier’s/Ruia form… am I doomed?

Okay I think I messed up.

Applied to St. Xavier’s and Ruia first, then realised later that Mumbai University form is also compulsory. Filled that after, but obviously my MU application number isn’t in the college forms I already submitted.

I’ve mailed them but I’m lowkey freaking out now.

Does anyone know if they allow corrections or if this can be fixed later? Or did I just sabotage my own admission 😭

▲ 2 r/ajmer

Anyone in ajmer to hangout? Only girls.

Hey! I’m 22F and I recently realised I don’t really have many friends around. The ones I do have are usually busy, so I thought why not try something new and meet new people here. I’ve lived here all my life but never really made a big circle, so I’d love to connect, make some genuine friendships, and maybe hang out sometimes.

I’m only looking to connect with my girly pops because I’m more comfortable that way. If you’re in the same boat or just want a new friend, feel free to reach out.
