Went to see my fiancés Mum today (third time meeting with her)

My fiance matched his outfit to my dress then insisted upon the long socks and boots. Then, when we got home, wanted to at least see how the outfit looked with the leather jacket he brought for me if it got cold. And mum loves me, and thought my outfit was adorable. I'm such a lucky girl!

Little pp man

I had just pulled up to a gas pump. I was waiting behind a large vehicle that was also towing something, and they started moving so I start inching forward. Suddenly, as in literally from thin air, a man in an overly large white truck starts honking at me. Now, I did not see this man 2 seconds ago, and I had *beyond plenty* of room. I'm confused and I hear him yell from behind me, "you cut in line!!" He was very angry, didn't stop honking at all.

I pulled to the side after yelling, "no the fuck I didn't." Still, I moved over and got behind him. He gets out, pumps his gas, and I refrain from honking at him when he's sat there just a *little too long* after he's done. I start giving him the New York bird (I'm not in or from NY) and making a small gesture with my fingers. Because while this real peach of a human was pumping his gas, I was talking to my partner about how it seemed like he was just overcompensating with his massive truck.

He left his work gloves on the gas pump, so I threw them out. I still call him little pp man. He will always be little pp man. This concludes the ballad of little pp man. I hope you enjoyed. True story. Couldn't make something like that up. Oh and for the record, he did this to a relatively young blonde woman in a convertible. This was not a weird pissing contest. Just me pointing out the obvious. Literally just overcompensation at it's finest in the wild, my friends.

Also, just to clarify, there is nothing wrong with any pp. All pp's are perfect. Big, small, fat, skinny, innie, outtie. 🤷🏼‍♀️ What's not cool is being a jack ass because you dislike your pp and are self conscious about it. Please take away that moral of the story. Love your pp as it is. Don't be a jack ass in public. And just to double clarify, if I saw someone in line for a pump, I wouldn't jump in front of them. NEVER. I actually like my pp, unlike some people on this planet.

Be grateful for what you have every single day

I keep this rule for myself. I feel like if everyone started their day this way, the world would be a much better, much happier place. I try my best to be grateful for what I have, but sometimes I slip up, too. I've always found those days end up being my worst days. Days when I get too cocky or confident in my abilities.

As practice, I am grateful for my amazing and loving boyfriend. Grateful he's still with us after a recent health scare. I was literally sobbing into his shoulder over it last week, so I'm extremely grateful that he is still here with us. Extremely grateful to have him in my life, and extremely grateful to have his love.

I'm grateful that my parents are still alive and well. They're getting older, but I'm glad they're also still here with me. It's a blessing, and one I know not everyone gets. In the same vein, I'm grateful for my 9 year old dog. Grateful he's still kicking. He's given me at least a dozen health scares in the past. And he's getting older, too. Also very grateful for my rambunctious and super healthy 2 year old dog.

Grateful for my two precious cocktails, that I have a car to drive, the ability to pay for the things I need, and a job as well. I'm so grateful for the job I have, even if I dread coming in some days. I'm grateful for relatively clean air and water to drink, and relatively nutritious food to eat. I'm grateful for my health and continued wellbeing. I'm just so greatful for all the small and big things in my life.

I try my best to acknowledge most of the big things daily. Sometimes, like today, I take the time to write it all out. Sometimes I work it into my spirituality/prayers. Sometimes it's just a thought. But I try my best because the days I neglect to do this, shit always seems to hit the fan. And I know it's just tricking my brain. But, at least to me, it gives me far more value than not doing it brings me.

Anyway, if you read any of this, thank you. I hope it inspires something good for your day or picks you up if you've been at a low point. The bad times don't last forever. Just be sure to give thanks and be grateful for what you have everyday. I just wanted to share with someone today. Thank you again. 🙏🏻

TIFU chest planted from a flip on a trampoline

I am 29, and I was feeling very energetic today. I often have in my past jumped on trampolines for fun. I have not in a few years, but there's a rather large trampoline in my backyard. It's very old, inherited from the previous owners, and the edge of it is all metal framed. But I stay active, so I figured I could try it a little again. And when I started jumping, it felt very stable. And it was, I was juts the problem.

Well, I attempted a flip, did the flip, and over shot it. Landed on the metal flat on my chest so hard I still hurt. I have talked to everyone I know, laughing about how old I am. No one saw this, but I literally felt my shoulders go forward. My chest go, "NOPE!", and just flopped back on my back for a bit. It's was arguably hilarious. Quite a shame it wasn't witnessed by anyone.

Anyway, here I am several hours later and I am incredibly sore. I am contemplating pain killers since I rarely take any. But it's bad. My back, my chest is super sore, my shoulders, and my neck. I am just fine physically. Just store. I kept saying I felt all 29 years in my joints in the moment. Nothing broken, nothing missing except some of my pride. Just sore and officially, I think, too old to do that.

TL;DR

I fell onto metal trying to do a flip on a trampoline, and now my chest and torso are sore. The only thing I can blame it on is my age hitting me like a brick.

My Airbnb host ruined the wedding I didn't even pay for!

So there I am, at my wedding with my entire family on someone else's property when the Airbnb host decides to tell me they have pictures. Of my wedding! What an invasion of privacy. How creepy is that, the Airbnb host actually keeps an eye on their own property? And worse, they had already contacted Airbnb about me breaking their "house rules" or whatever they want to call it. I remember agreeing to them, but what's the point of being respectful of other people's dumb rules?

That interaction with the host left such a bad taste in my mouth! I immediately scribbled out the 5 star review I orginally left in their guest book. Put 3 stars instead and started complaining about all the dust! The dust that definitely wasn't from my train or my dogs being out in a field. Definitely not from all my friends and family running around in a field for my wedding! Not to mention, I did ask if they allow service dogs, since they don't allow pets. Not that mine are, but my babies deserve special treatment! And it was my wedding day! Of course I need my dogs with me regardless.

Well, can you believe they charged me $250 and left me a 1 star review? They mocked me and my marriage basically saying I was entitled! They literally said, "play stupid games, win stupid prizes". Now they've mocked my intelligence! How dare they?! I was a perfect guest! I didn't do anything wrong. And they blocked me too, can you believe that?! So I decided to send them a request for $850 for the mental damage this whole ordeal caused me months later! I mean the house was super dirty, after we stayed there! Why shouldn't I get an 80% refund of what I paid for that?

And they declined the $850. And now Airbnb won't do anything either. Can you believe this?! All I wanted was to have a free wedding venue on someone else's property! I just wanted to pay for the stay, and not for the wedding, duh! I don't see why I'm not entitled to that, it's only fair since I paid to stay there. And can you believe they actually got to keep my $250 for an arbitrary charge they made up out of nowhere? I can't believe this injustice happened to me! All I wanted was to avoid paying thousands for a wedding venue like all the other brides. I'm not like other brides!

Now, all my wedding pictures are absolutely ruined by such a negative memory. And my husband is upset with me for not checking first, but they wouldn't have allowed it anyway! Ask for forgiveness, not permission. Ugh! My entire wedding was ruined by some greedy Airbnb host! Well I get the last laugh because I know for a fact I left something there. Hope they enjoy their bed bugs! Hahahahaha

Update: I passed my first two states exams today

Hi everyone! I posted about 14 or 15 days ago. I am donating plasma today, which also makes me super happy. And I want to thank everyone here for your kind words! You guys are amazing, and I'm so happy if I can bring anyone up with me! Hopefully I can brighten your day a little with this message.

That said, I passed my second two states exams since then AND I got the job!! And just before I got to donate plasma, I learned my license got approved! I was in a really dark place before all of this. But let me be your reminder that it's always darkest before the dawn. Keep going, even when it's hard! And spread happiness and positivity whenever you go! 💖

We're moving in together in 3 weeks!

So me (29F) and my boyfriend (27M) have been together for just over 7 months now, all long distance. So, I just wanted to tell our story up until now. Sorry in advance because it'll probably be pretty long.

Neither him or I have had the best luck with romance in the past. I don't really want to go into it much. I just want to keep this post positive, but it is a fact. We've both been cheated on, lied to, etc. And perhaps most pertinent to this story, I went through a divorce.

My boyfriend and I first met on an app probably close to a year and a half or so ago. I was married at the time, and I was genuinely just looking for friendship. Clearly, I wasn't happy in my marriage because it did end in a divorce. But, just to be very clear, that happened independently.

Regardless, my now boyfriend and I got along very well. We'd chit chat a little here and there, but I didn't even give him a way to contact me outside of the app we met on. And, beyond that, I still have several friends I've made from that app, oddly enough. But my now boyfriend and I didn't talk for a while.

I dated through my divorce a little. It wasn't great! But that all brings me to roughly 7 months ago now. I was so done with the same app I keep referencing. I was done with dating in general. And the exact day I was going to delete my account and the app, my now boyfriend messages me.

I gave him a way to contact me outside of it, not thinking about it at all. We hadn't talked in months, so I was just thinking maybe I'd make a friend. Lol. But I did in fact delete the account and the app immediately after that. And we started talking again.

We talked for 3 days straight after that. We also found out so many seemingly small similar interests. We liked the same exact anime, same favorite band (which is a bit of an odd one), and we even watched the same relatively niche YouTube channel.

I started finding myself actively wanting to talk to him, but I could tell he saw me more romantically. I didn't really know how I felt at first, but I told another friend that him and would either be BFFs or soulmates. I did end up even telling him that as well.

It was around this point any relationship with my ex husband (it was intially an amicable divorce) went all the way south. I have him blocked permanently because he almost ran over my foot! But my now boyfriend was there for me through that.

At once point, I went to go hang out with my best friend. I showed her a picture of him and basically said I couldn't decide how I felt about him. I think I even called him a bit of a pervert at one point! Lol but my friend made a positive comment about him.

So that same night, I had to drive roughly an hour home. It was raining and dark, and I was telling him that. The best way to explain it was he looked and seemed genuinely concerned about my safety getting home. It touched me, honestly.

There he was, basically a stranger in another state, someone I was half assedly friendzoning. He didn't need to actually give a shit about me, but he did. And for whatever reason, that thought alone dramatically shifted how I felt about him. Simple, but that's what happened.

That shift in me obviously changed his and I's dynamic as well. We started flirting a lot more and talking on the phone more. We also started watching shows together as well. And it just all started to click at once. I remember thinking "I love you" when talking to him so suddenly and out of nowhere.

Well, a few days later (honestly I think also 3 days, odd coincidence) he told me he loved me for the first time. I said it back to him so fast I think it shocked him, too. He was super quiet for a few seconds. I think somewhere around that time is when we quietly made it offical.

Then, my mom had a heart attack. He was there for me through it. Then, his mom lost some animals she had in a fire. I hope I was there for him, too. I tried my best, but I'd have to ask him his memory of it. And after all of that, I went out to meet him in person.

It was amazing. He later told me when he first saw me in the airport he knew I was the one for him. I just remember him being incredibly nervous and I was just trying to calm him down. As crazy as it sounds on my end, I already knew he was the one for me for awhile at that point.

Still, that trip just solidified it for both of us. I loved all of his family I got to meet, and I remember just cuddling in bed. I had told him my mom's romantic advice, "find someone who makes your heart sing." He said, "my heart is singing!" My heart was, too.

And we both officially decided we fell on the side of soulmates rather than besties. I sobbed like a baby in the airport when I had to leave. And I am not the type to cry in public. I actively avoid it, but there I was sobbing at the terminal. It just hurt do much to leave him.

So, that was all before 2026. There were some other negative things that happened. I was there for him when he cried, he was there for me when I cried. And, funnily enough, both of us avoided burdening the other with what was bothering us. Even despite both of is telling the other they absolutely could.

March rolls around and he flys out here to meet my family. It felt so awkward at first. But we had planned a road trip. Left on our road trip, and I got to meet even more of his family. I loved that family immediately as well! And the road trip was roughly 30 hours total.

We made a straight shot there and a straight shot back, so 14 hours there, 14 back. He looked at me towards the end on the way back and said, "well, we survived nearly 30 hours stuck in a car together." I shot back, "no, we thrived stuck in a car together for nearly 30 hours!"

He agreed. Lol and we did in fact thrive on that road trip. When I took him to the airport, my mom started tearing up because she had to say goodbye. This is a woman who only cries over her deceased parents. I often joke she's a reptile, to be completely blunt!

Seeing her tear up when he had to leave was also very touching to me. And after it all, he loved my parents, they lived him. We also met up with my best friend (who had a mild hand in us being together now). She was not having a great day, so that felt off.

I talked to her later and explained the entire relationship to her, and she seemed really happy for me. Really gald for me. She was just going through issues with her boyfriend and at work. The usual things that make people come off a bit cold.

I also explained to her that im my past, I never really dated anyone who cared much about me. It sounds insane, I know, but I was always treated as a burden. My ex husband always sighed and groaned if I asked him for something.

On our road trip, I had a moment at maybe 2 or 3am, which I know is the worst time to be upset. It honestly wasn't anything my boyfriend did. It was stupid, but it got to me. I started crying and realized quickly it wasn't worth hiding.

I woke him up and asked him to cuddle me, and he was so sweet and kind about it. Just comforted me and made me feel better. Treated me well. That was the first time a man had literally ever treated me like I wasn't a burden.

Again, so simple, but just how it was. It happened again the night before he had to leave, but it was because he kept reminding me. And that same pain I felt the first time just came flooding back. He comforted me that night, too.

Taking him to the airport was awful. Just very painful to say goodbye. And now several months have gone by. The plan was always for him to move to me. And now we're 3 weeks out, still getting everything in order a bit.

I'm going to fly out there and then we will rent a van and drive back here. Another 14 hour drive, and I'll get to meet the rest of his family and his coworkers. I've been extremely busy in general, but I'm still very excited! He's also very excited.

So yeah, that's all of that. Our next plans are to get married. Funnily enough, he already has the suit he wants to wear. I already have the dress I want to wear. What a pair we make! Lol We have more trips planned as well. But that's about it so far.

I passed my first two state exams today!

It was for property and casualty insurance, so I guess I am a future licensed insurance agent! Woo hoo! I was dreading these tests for days and worked up my anxiety to the point where I was shaking through my first test. But I did it! Hope you all are having a wonderful day. Even if you aren't, or you have something stressing you, you'll get through it. Just do the best you can!
