I think I succeeded.

The speedrun on Steel Soul took 1 hour and 39 minutes.

What I managed to do in these 33 minutes.

Get a vengeful spirit.

Get a mothwing cloak.

Get a mantis claw.

And I also managed to save up for a flashlight.

And I can also buy a shaman stone and upgrade my nail.

Here I should clarify about my previous post where I defeated the Nightmare King on ascended

Before beating the Nightmare King on my second try while OVERCHARMED

I played Hollow Knight when I was 12, and I couldn't beat the Nightmare King properly (and I couldn't beat many of the bosses on Ascended properly either).

Four years later, when I turned 16, I decided to play Hollow Knight again and even managed to beat the game in 4 hours and 39 minutes (there was a separate post about that).

(And one more thing, I don't know why, but I decided to delete my old save.)

And at 16, I was able to defeat the Nightmare King on Ascended

And after that, I decided to complete the Grimm DLC, where I decided to complete the ritual. After the first try, since the Grim Child was a MUST-HAVE to get to the Nightmare King, I simply decided to beat the Nightmare King while OVERCHARMED. I took the Mark of Pride, and on my second try, I won.

I hope I was able to explain.

(And yes, in my Godseeker playthroughs, I spent a ton of attempts on the Nightmare King, while in my Normal playthroughs, I spent two attempts on him.)
