Finally built my dream PC after years of waiting and saving

Finally pulled the trigger on my dream PC. After years of waiting, saving up, comparing parts, and going back and forth on what to buy, I finally got the whole setup from Lamington Road, Mumbai.

The entire setup cost me Rs. 1,66,000 including the monitor, mouse, mousepad, speakers, Windows key and an extension board.

I am honestly just really happy to finally have a proper PC of my own.

Full specs

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

Cooler: DeepCool AG400 ARGB

Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX AM5 Micro-ATX

GPU: Galax GeForce RTX 5070 EX Gamer 1-Click OC 12GB GDDR7

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 16GB DDR5 6000MHz CL36 - 1x16GB

Storage: Acer Predator GM7 1TB Gen4 NVMe - up to 7400MB/s

PSU: Thermaltake 750W Fully Modular

Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 490 Black Micro-ATX + 3 ARGB fans

Peripherals

Monitor: MSI MAG 245F X24 - 24 inch, 1080p, Rapid IPS, 240Hz, 0.5ms, FreeSync Premium

Mouse: HyperX Pulsefire Core RGB

Keyboard: Basic Dell membrane keyboard I already had at home

Speaker: Honeywell Moxie V500 Soundbar

IEM: HEADPHONE ZONE X KZ - EDX PRO

Still feels a little unreal seeing everything finally set up after waiting and saving for so long.

What do you guys think of the build ?

Need urgent help with a ₹1.5–1.6 lakh PC build — visiting Lamington Road, Mumbai tomorrow!

I’m planning to visit Lamington Road, Mumbai tomorrow to get quotations for my first-ever custom PC. I probably would get the PC in July month only.

I’ve been using a base-model MacBook Air M1 for my development work and studies, but now I need a more powerful desktop.

Main use cases

\- Software development, programming and college work

\- Casual gaming on weekends

\- Story-mode games such as the Metro series

\- Valorant and PUBG

\- Blender, animation and rendering for my younger brother

\- General multitasking and long-term use

My total budget is approximately ₹1.5–1.6 lakh for the complete PC setup.

I’m looking for a build that is:

\- Well-balanced

\- Value for money

\- Reliable and durable

\- Good for gaming, development and Blender

\- Easy to upgrade in the future

\- Capable of lasting at least 5 years without requiring major upgrades

I really don’t want to overspend on unnecessary RGB or premium components that don’t provide meaningful performance improvements.

Please suggest a complete build, including:

\- CPU

\- GPU

\- Motherboard

\- RAM

\- SSD

\- Power supply

\- CPU cooler

\- Cabinet

\- Monitor ( don't consider this in the above mentioned budget )

Also, please recommend some trustworthy shops at Lamington Road based on your experience. Let me know what precautions I should take while getting quotations or purchasing components, such as checking seals, GST bills, warranty and exact model numbers.

This is my first custom PC, so I’m worried about making an expensive mistake. Any advice from experienced builders would be greatly appreciated.

Please upvote or interact so this reaches more Mumbai PC builders and experienced gamers. Thank you!

Need responses for a short academic survey

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a Research Methodology project and need a few responses for a short academic survey.

The survey is about how AI tools sometimes forget context, lose earlier instructions, or give confident but incorrect answers during long or multi-step tasks.

It takes around 3–5 minutes to complete, and the responses will be used only for academic purposes.

Form link in the comment section

Would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

How do Mumbai societies find contractors for terrace shed work before monsoon?

Hi everyone,

Recently, most of our regular work sites have gone into redevelopment, so the usual society work we used to get has reduced.

My father has 10+ years of experience in temporary monsoon shed / terrace shed / tadpatri work for societies and buildings in Mumbai.

I wanted to understand how housing societies usually find contractors for this type of work before monsoon.

Do societies mostly ask through existing contacts, put notices/tenders, check local vendors, use Justdial/Google, or post in WhatsApp/Facebook groups?

Also, are there any local newspapers, websites, or groups where society tender/quotation notices are usually posted?

I am not posting this as an advertisement, just trying to understand the proper way to find genuine society work leads in areas like Andheri, Vile Parle, Santacruz, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Kandivali, and Borivali.

Any guidance would help.
