Landing a job while studying

I’ve been actively applying for entry level positions as accountant or audit or the big 4 in Bahrain for more than a year, mostly through indeed or linkedin but I NEVER received any response.

I’d like to know how people are actually getting hired in these roles because there are lots of non-bahrainis in the field so i’m sure nationality is not a limitation.
Suggest methods work best (walk-ins, referrals, agencies, or direct applications) because i already tried applying thru indeed and linkedin and connected with some industry ppl on linkedin too. But no response.

I also applied in other countries through ACCA Careers but I never got response. I doubt I will because I have no prior practical experience in the country I am residing in.

If you know companies currently hiring or places where applications are more likely to be noticed, I would really appreciate if you could share them.
Any real experience or practical advice would help a lot. I am pursuing acca and currently done with 4 exams so I have the RQF level 4 diploma also.

I want to pursue work along with my studies in order to support myself and since I am doing acca it would be better and was always advised to me to gain practical experience as soon as possible.

On a side note, does doing a course in Python programming help make me a better candidate?

Sketchy Pakistani clothing brand that starts with the letter “O”

So I recently came across a Pakistani clothing brand and it seemed sooo off. All of its models were these young petite western girls. Maybe Turkish or Europeans idk. And they had all these minimalist and pretty cheap clothes probably targeting gen z audience. But the whole brand representation is weird considering the models dont even represent half the country's population AND THE COMPANY ISN'T EVEN REGISTERED IN PAKISTAN. I've heard mixed reviews from ppl who bought from it suggesting the quality isn't best. So the whole thing seems sketchy

i’m trying to get into matcha…

I randomly tried matcha once from Illy Café and surprisingly didn’t hate it 😭 it was actually pretty drinkable, so now I kinda wanna explore more places.

Any good matcha recommendations in Bahrain? Preferably places available on Talabat, Keeta, Jahez, etc because I’d rather get it delivered at home.

Not looking for anything super bitter or “grass-flavored” for now since I’m still new to it 😭

Would love to know:

• iced matcha

• strawberry matcha

• good beginner-friendly matcha

• cafés that actually make it properly

Drop your favorites pls 🍵

Lost BD 250 to a Fake Training Institute in Bahrain - my experience

I never expected to end up in a situation like this, but I wanted to share my experience in case it helps other students be more careful when choosing training institutes.

I enrolled in a Diploma in Montessori at Master Mentor International Institute (MMI) in Bahrain. I paid BD 250 for the course because it was feasible for me and I genuinely wanted to pursue teaching, and at the time the institute appeared legitimate and professionally operated.

In January 2026, we found out that the institute had reportedly been shut down by the authorities over issues related to fake certificates. We also came to know that the owner was reportedly arrested and fined by the court.

As a result, many students were left uncertain about the status and validity of the qualifications they were pursuing. Apart from the financial loss, it was also disappointing to lose time and effort invested into the course.

I’m sharing this mainly as a reminder for students in Bahrain to carefully verify the accreditation and recognition of any training institute before enrolling, even if it appears professional or has a valid CR.

If anyone else was affected by MMI, DMI, or Ecclesiastes Educational Consultancy Services (EECS), I’d be interested in hearing about your experience as well.

Are bookclubs really that horrible and toxic?

I noticed this in a few movies and TV shows where the character says that something off about joining book clubs if they are bored or have nothing to do. Is it really? I am a casual reader and never became parts of book clubs because I always found people in book clubs to be heavy readers like reading a whole 600+ pages book in a day. Meanwhile, it would take me 3 months to finish a 300 page book. But yea.. are they boring or toxic?

Hi everyone, I have a question for pakistanis in Bahrain. WHY DO YOU GUYS STAND OUTSIDE THE EMBASSY BEFORE OPENING TIME???!! I noticed almost all of them come in their own cars, park it and then go towards the embassy and stand near the gate. Why stand there, in this hot weather, when you can calmly sit in your car and wait till the embassy opens? old, young, kids, families, men, women EVERYONE!!

Guys please, for the sake of your own respect, dont make a crowd outside the embassy like this. Stay in your cars and just wait. Have some civic sense.

Lately everyone’s bashing Sidra Niazi, Sahar Hashmi, Hiba Bukhari etc etc.. for being terrible actresses. Let’s shift the canon towards some male actors too. I JUST saw Daniyal Zafar in zanjeerain and I wanna cry 😭 bro keeps laughing and moving his hands so much it’s distractive. Then there is Bilal Abbas, I honestly want to hide my existence every time he acts all funny and cute. Bro is terrible at it. Kher, that’s all I can think of… What other male actors do y’all notice are terrible?

The algorithm gave me an ad for this shoes from Renova: https://instagram.com/p/DX6Tp-dN0uO/

I really like the shoes, but can't find any review of the item or Renova online or their page on instagram. I think they only have a website and facebook. not sure.

Does anyone have experience with this Renova or website? Does anyone know of a similar shoes from a known and reputable brand? Thanks.
