Well, Sony you are forcing my wallet to go to PC. Everything digital? Nah. I've owned a Playstation since 97 and this is the coup de grace

Edit: It really baffles me how a lot of you do not read on an internet forum at all. You just read the title of a topic and respond. It aint about just the whole digital vs physical thing. Its more about the fact they can rug pull you and take all of your games randomly. On top of that, since you can only get your games through Sony there is no incentive for discounts. They still won't read this though. Just clown behavior

If everything is all digital what makes you think Sony won't just act like Nintendo and NEVER give discounts on their games? The physical media market where stores would have sales kept the digital format competitive and fair for the consumer.

Another thing is that we do not really own the games digitally. I, like many of you, got used to the ease of digital this generation. Some of you started last generation or even the PS3/360 era. What happens if Sony just pulls the plug on the servers and all of the games you bought are just gone? And its in the fine print that you are basically buying a license and not owning the game.

I remember a few years ago Sony was going to close the PS3 store. There was outrage and they kept it intact. Now I hear they plan on doing it soon but that could be a rumor. Nintendo shut down their Wii stores and their 3DS stores. Some of those games are simply lost if you didnt buy them.

All consumers should be against them going purely digital. Easily the most anti consumer thing that we have seen in gaming.

I wont be buying any more consoles. My first console I played was the Atari in diapers. The first console I actually was coherent enough to remember was the NES. All of that will come to an end and I will just go to PC instead.

Consoles are already creeping up to comparative prices of PCs. They are making everything digital like PC except you have far less flexibility with the games.

It just baffles me how even a fraction of people are shrugging their shoulders. I still own pretty much every game I bought throughout the years from NES thru PS4.

Say goodbye to backwards compatibility too.

Why are people okay with being screwed?

Does anybody have a save from their childhood that despite you being better now you just dont have the heart to progress?

Super Mario 64 for me.

I still have the original cartridge I got as a kid when I was 6 on Christmas. I remember being blown away by the game, but I could never collect all of the 120 stars. My final star count before young me moved on was 104 stars. I loaded up the save recently and saw the stars I gave up on and understood right away. However, even though in my 30s I could probably get all 120 on the save file for completionist sake I just dont wanna overwrite the save.

It kind of still represents me. I will finish the game and have fun with it, but I do not care to collect everything.

For context I have owned a Playstation every generation since 97. I have one Platinum trophy which is Bloodborne. I have beaten other games on their hardest difficulty like Last of Us (difficulty name escapes me but the one above Survivor) and gotten most of the trophies but something in me just...does not care? And i loved that game.

TL;DR: Anyway, what about you guys? Is there a save from a childhood you refuse to save over and/or complete? Comment below!

I am on SSDI, have 3.5k in savings, own transportation, and my credit score is 790. Plan on getting a job in my new city. Is this enough for me to get an apartment out the gate if I pay 3 months rent in advance (apartments are around 800 where I am moving)

Basically the OP title.

Also, I can fit my belongings in my car so no moving company is needed.

Kind of funny that every villain in Z could have easily beat the Z Fighters if they trained for a week or two.

Vegeta, Raditz and Nappa could have easily tripled their power even if they barely sparred with each other. Over time of course.

Frieza could have achieved Golden Frieza at any point but chose not to.

Cell had every single meaningful Z Fighter cells in him and some of them do nothing but train. What if he decided to train during the 10 days before his tournament?

And Buu had god ki apparently before he split which was in turn given to Kid Buu. Imagine if Kid Buu was able to train and harness his power correctly instead of being a wild, destructive beast?

Just funny how they all could have easily stomped the Z Fighters with minimal effort if they all decided to do some push-ups or mental training lol

Need advice on returning to my channel

Anyway, I haven't uploaded or went live on my channel in about 5 weeks. Mainly because of my own personal mental health severely declining to the point the content I was making that I did not release just was not good at all. I was all over the place, and just wasnt focused on the topic at hand.

However, I want to come back now very soon and shooting for this week. I am rarely on camera but a video I want to do will have me on camera.

My question for you all is since its been 5 weeks should I post a "Channel Update" video to kind of let people know what's been going on? My community supports me although it is 400 subs I feel honored they subbed to me and engage with my content consistently.

I did post a community note a few weeks ago and some of my main supporters commented and wished me the best.

I just do not know if I should just upload like nothing happened or post a video explaining my absence and what not.

Thanks in advance.

That Drake Iceman is fire!!!!

Exactly what I wanted to hear. Rapping Drake with light melodies sprinkled in with a few jabs and hooks. Well done Drizzy. Half of the album fire the other half is good. Got to listen again over the weekend in my car for a proper assessment.

Not counting the remakes as the original games was more streamlined and I mean that in a good way. You could literally boot up RE0, RE1(remake too), RE2 both versions, RE3 both versions, Code Veronica, RE4, RE5, and RE6 and be right in the action within 10 minutes of gameplay. Some of these games dump you right into the action and never let up. No slow walking sections or forced dialogue and if there is any it can be skipped or its like 2 minutes and thats it.

Ever since RE7 it takes forever to get to the main gameplay. You are forced to walk or be in some fixed fight where its designed to just waste time until you get to a checkpoint. Most of these fights are really easy as well so its boring.

I was realizing this after unlocking nearly everything in RE9 on both PS5 and Series X. That initial part of the game where you are Grace in that murder scene building and then the sneak section with the girl drags on replays. By the time Leon hands you the Requiem 20 minutes have passed and thats including skipping cutscenes.

Then its the fact that RE7 thru RE9 seem to not focus on post game content. Yeah they added some great content after the game's launch, but at launch nearly every one of these games just had the main game, some challenges to unlock stuff, and thats it.

Why do you think they do this? The games are still great. RE7 is a masterpiece in my opinion, RE8 is another great game, and RE9 might be my GotY if GTA6 doesnt drop. But its becoming very noticeable how Capcom seems to put replayability on the back burner in exchange for first time experiences and thats good for people that one and done games......but I replay them so much throughout the years I have Iike 300 hours on the PS4 version of RE2make, and about the same amount on the PS5 version.

I just dont see myself sinking that many hours into RE9 since RE7 and RE8 are my least played RE games, and RE9 seems to be headed in that direction as well.

Thoughts?

TL;DR: Every RE game before RE7 allowed you to jump right into the action with minor introductory delays. However, RE7 and onwards have forced walking sections and fixed fights that take forever to get past. As a person that loves replaying RE games I do not like how Capcom has seemingly put the post game content on the back burner in exchange for one and done experiences.
