Identifying items?

Hi, I hope you are all doing well. I was watcing the show and I saw some items in the museum that Mr. Mxyzptlk was robbing and then in the vault with Lois. I recognized some of the items but not others. Can anybody identify these items? Here is the second pic. Vault with Lois

Customer service not being honest?

Hi, I hope you are all doing well. I ordered a package on Saturday, May 9th. Within a few hours, I saw that the status went from the package leaving the shipper to being received by the carrier. It is Thursday May 14th, and the status has not changed. I contacted the carrier, OSM Worldwide and they said that they created a label for the item but have not physically received the actual item. I then wrote the seller and they keep telling me the same exact thing over and over, that the item has been shipped on the date specified on the website and that I should wait a few days for tracking updates. Why is the seller telling me this when the carrier is saying that they have not received the package? I contacted Amazon customer service and they said they contacted the carrier OSM Worldwide and OSM told them that they had my package but had not scanned it yet as they receive items in bulk and it may take some time. This struck me as odd as I wondered how OSM could tell Amazon customer service that they have my package without scanning it. How would they know how to locate it? I strongly suspect that the Amazon customer service employee lied to me to get me off of the phone as I do not think OSM could possibly know that they have my package without it being scanned. Has this ever happened to anybody? Do you think customer service is lying to me? Has anybody experienced something similar? Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

First time playing the series..

Hi, I hope you are all doing well. A little bit of background so you can see where my headspace is. I am an old school gamer, came up with the Mario, Duck Hunt, and Sonic games. DarkWing Duck, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Ninja Turtles and Simpsons Arcade game. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat. I absolutely Adore The Lord of the Rings The Return of the Ring for GameCube, I love mashing those buttons and kicking butt (in a wonderful Lord of the Rings setting). I Played a little Call of Duty Black Ops, and Moden Warfare Three on the PS3, Some House of the Dead Overkill, Ghost Squad, both on the Wii. Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, StarFox on N64 as well. I have always Been into basic forms of gaming, sidescrolling platforming, fighting games, beat up ups, First person shooters, both on and off rails.

I like simplicity. Press a particular button when I want to jump, shoot, punch. If an attack is incoming, I can press a button to block, or move out of the way. Very basic. I had an experience with a turn based game, The Lord of the Rings, the Third Age. That was a change of pace for me. I got the hang of it quickly though. For the tougher late and end game enemies and bosses, I always had to make sure to keep using arts to keep reviving my healer after they went down as they were the key to keep reviving my other players so we could keep attacking out target. That got me through the game. There is some item management, but the arts were enough to carry me through to the end.

Since then all of my gaming has been Souls games. Demon's Souls, dark Souls 1 2 and 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring and Nightreign. These games are very difficult, but are basic in their mechanics. Know when to hit, know when to dodge and or block and parry in the case of Sekiro, and item management. The item management can be stressful, on top of recognition of enemy tells and memorization of enemy attack patterns and having a quick reaction time. I have learned that one can overlevel and get maxed out gear and spells to overcome. For a very long time, all I did was play souls and soulslike games and became quite comfortable with their mechanics.

Enter Xenoblade Chronicles. I am familiat with autoattacking from spending some time with The Last Story on the Wii. It feels strange as I am used to button mashing, but it is not a deal breaker. For the basic creatures in Xenoblade the autoattack is fine. just keep running up to the creatures to trigger one's autoattack and move out of the way every once in a while to avoid it's inevitable counterattack. If I encounter a particularly strong creatures, my Souls logic kicks in and I kite the creature so it's back is exposed and my AI partner can hit it from behind, akin so how one does in the Souls games and one is playing with summons and as the enemy focuses on one player, it will inevitably leave it's back exposed to attack from other players, human or AI. But this does not work in XC as I notice that the enemies hit me from a distance is through objects. I am familiar to physical attacks and spells clipping through objects in Souls games, but that usually only happens when one is right by said object. In Xenoblade, the attack will clip you from any distance through any objects. There is no kiting. You can and will get hit anywhere in the arena. it is as if it's real time mixed with turn based in that in a turn based game if one is attacked, the attack registers regardless of positioning if the enemy is facing you, unless there is an arbitrary miss. I cannot apply my standard Souls dodging techniques as I simply cannot avoid an enemy attack by dodging if they are facing me.

Also, the user interface with the arts is tricky to me. Nightreign had an art gauge that filled up after a certain number of attacks which let you do a special attack. Xenoblade takes this to the next level, where everything is an art gauge with a cool down period. So I am dealing with an enemy whose attacks I cannot avoid by dodging, running around quickly trying to switch through different arts waiting for one to fill up so I can either heal or do a physical attack (I just discovered there is a lock on button). This is all so new and hectic to me. I am screaming in my head at the various art gauges to "hurry up!". And having to by holding the joystick while running while using my other hand to scroll through the different arts, while keeping track of me and my ai partners health is quite a high level of multitasking done in real time, as opposed to the calm nature of a turn based game. It's as if this game combines the strategic nature of a turn based game with the strain of real time movement and positioning. Souls games are tough because of this quick real time movement, and adding strategic planning while frantically moving around and going through one's UI while keeping an eye on health is straining enough, but then having other mechanics such as the one encountered with the spider queen boss (her name eludes me, pardon). I had to do all of the aforementioned things, with the added stress of having to know when a vision attack is coming and then find the message asking to warn my teammate and then the identifying what type of attack it is right button to actually warn my teammate while also trying to find identifiers and then buttons to be able to react appropriately to whichever type of attack is coming. I practiced on that frog miniboss outside of the boss arena, which also has vision attacks and was able to beat the spider boss shortly after beating the boss. It is a good mechanic to introduce particular enemies that share movesets and characteristics of a boss, right before the boss, so one can practice. I have experienced this Dark Souls 1 and 2. There is so much going on and I was able to defeat the Spider Queen, without having learned all of the mechanics of that fight. Same thing happened when I was fighting Mechons and the Mechon with the human face and the frog creature (some names alude me sorry). I beat said enemies without learning all of the mechanics mentioned in the tutorials presented prior to the fight.

This is a lot, and I am not used to it. Does anybody have any pointers? Any guides, any tips? Despite everything I have said, I really like the game. I did the same with Legend of Zelda,Tears of the Kingdom. I got mad and returned it, then I felt compelled to get it back. I was angry and I returned it as I despise puzzles, something told me to go and get it back. I still hate puzzles, but the game has much more to offer than just puzzles. I figured out one puzzle on my own without a guide and that felt surprisingly good. I This is a solid game, I am just not used to these types of mechanics and gameplay. At all. I want to get used to it though. I can tell this is a fantastic game, and any information and help you have to offer is most welcome and appreciated. Thank you for your time.

What is a game that you wanted to like but just could not get into? And what were games that you could not get into at first but then enjoyed playing afterward?

I really wanted to like Xenoblade Chronicles. When I found out that it wasn't fully open world. I was disappointed but I went and played it anyway. The idea of them residing on titans was very cool. However, right away I noticed that there were constant, long cut scenes. I despise cut scenes, I lean more into gameplay. I am not onto narrratives in video games, I am focused on gameplay. I was still willing to give the game a shot, and then comes the combat. I played the Last Story (which isn't nearly as complex and has more charming characters and dialogue) , so I am aware of automatic combat. I'd rather mash the button, but it's a minor gripe. At first, I noticed that it was a bit complicated, but not too bad. Then the mechons came. Combat got more convoluted. Could I learn it? Of course. Do I want to? Not really. Then I noticed that it went the whole Resident Evil 4 route with sequences where people had to be rescued and or have obstacles removed. That was the nail in the coffin. I just want to explore and kill monsters for a bit, not watch cutscene after cutscene and have to pause and take notes to memorize the combat and rescue people. I did not like it with Ashley in Resi 4 so I am not going to like it here. And I just know that the combat would get more and more complex as the game went on, so if I was getting annoyed within the first few hours, I'd be raging later on. I can tell that it's a lovely game and the things that I dislike, others like and or do not mind, so this is not a slight to anybody who likes or loves the game.

When it comes to games I was lukewarm about at first, but grew to like, Skyrim is up there. Coming from the Souls series the combat was very floaty and had no weight to it. Characters do not react to getting slashed, battered, set on fire. Just a little blood splatter. I also dislike having to explore in the first person. I know one can switch to third person l, but third person feels so floaty, I thought to myself that it feels like I am gliding. But the world always had surprises for me and I enjoy exploring, not knowing what fantastical creature I am going to run into and that is a lot of fun.

Another game I came around on (somewhat less than Skyrim though) was Tears of the Kingdom. In my eyes, the puzzles are a huge black mark, as I despise puzzles. To add insult to injury, the puzzles are necessary as they give you hearts that help you stay alive, to allowing me to do what I enjoy, explore. I like that, like Skyrim, I cannot be certain what I will run into albeit with far less enemy variety (another gripe I had with Xenoblade Chronicles) and a tone that is not nearly as dark. Still, there's a lot to explore. That huge world to explore, makes me overlook the puzzles somewhat and gives me the impetus to get past them. Tears of the Kingdom is not as fun as Skyrim but it has it's moments, and I have come around somewhat.

It was touch and go with Xenoblade but for my taste, there were too many black marks against it. Again, if you like it, I am glad, play away. I really wanted to like it, it seems like a solid game, just not for me. It's a shame, as I liked the setting, and the atmosphere and walking around killing things in the wild.

What games did you really want to get into but couldn't and what games did you dislike at first but subsequently came around on? I'd love to hear your opinions and your experiences.

Hi, I placed an order for an item on Friday of last week, and it is from a third party seller but being shipped by Amazon. Amazon says that the item is to arrive by Thursday of this week. The little blue bar on order details shows that it stops right before shipped and has remained there. I contacted the seller and they say that Amazon has been unable to obtain authorization for the buyer's (ie me) credit card. But I did not use a credit card, I used a gift card. I called Amazon and they say that everything seems to be in order and that the order should be coming by Thursday. Has anybody else experienced this type of error? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time,

I have an order that Amazon says will be delivered by this Thursday but it has not been shipped yet. I placed the order at 1:10 am on Thursday of last week. The blue progress bar on the order details page stops right before shipped. Is this a cause for concern? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

If a person cosigns on a house with somebody and there is a default on the mortgage payments, and one of the cosigners dies, can the lenders come after the assets of the widow of said cosigner if they both had equal ownership of said asset (asset being a house)?

Hi, I ordered a Wii game on Amazon, and on the bottom right hand corner of the front cover it has a circle which says U.A.E and Saudi Arabia in green and under that in blue it says Malaysia and Singapore, and below that it says official product. On the bottom left it says ESRB rating, which from my understanding is the rating system for North America. Does this mean that this game is playable on my North American Wii? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
