Blue thumb "cast"
Cut the hell out of my thumb during a random project, and it was bleeding like hell... So I washed it with blue Dawn, then wrapped a blue Viva paper towel around it, then cinched it tight with Scotch blue. 🤣
ISTG it looks and feels like an old plaster cast, but lightweight.
Advice needed: Enzyme booster
Howdy, laundry nerd fam! Need y'all's help bc I am having extreme difficulty using the Lipase List spreadsheet on my phone.
I'm looking for an enzyme laundry booster that's unscented, no OBAs, and no oxygen bleach to go with my 365 powder.
In order of importance:
Unscented
No OBAs (to protect darks)
No (or very little) oxygen bleach (to protect darks)
Notes:
I have Dirty Labs for DNase.
I have Oxyclean Free
I'm neurodivergent and am trying to systematize laundry similar to:
Add detergent detergent
Add primary booster (the one I'm looking for above)
If whites, lights, or colors, add oxi
If load is unusually gross/stinky, add Dirty Labs
Add citric acid to rinse
Result: Clean clothes my nose will confirm are clean on wash day, while wearing (no odor rebloom), and from a drawer weeks later (no dirty washer smell that appears during storage, been there)
Bc I'll be asked: I wash on a hot/extra hot cotton cycle with an extra rinse in an LG front load that I clean every 2-3 weeks, swapping between citric acid and chlorine bleach cleanings. I keep that washer smelling and looking *fresh* y'all. I tumble dry most items, and I air dry delicates.I use 365 powder, 1 scoop, in very soft water.
So.... Back to that booster and the Lipase List I'm having no luck working on my phone: Do we know of an unscented enzyme booster w/o OBAs and no (or very little) oxygen bleach (to protect my darks)?
Bunny-Kicking for Fun or Instinct?
This is Mimi. She's 100% seal point, fixed, and we think she's 5-7 years old. We're her second home after her first human (my MIL) passed.
We've had her with us for ~a year, and we've bonded with her. She seems to have adjusted well: She seeks us out for affection and play, sleeps with us every night, talks to us regularly, and is even treating my calm, sweet elderly half-her-size Chihuahua more gently than she did at first. No litter box or feeding problems.
Our only real issue Mimi is that she bunny-kicks viciously. Us, the sofa, the rug, the bed, blankets, sheets, pillows, chairs, piled fabrics, everything even remotely soft. I'm afraid she'll eventually do it to (and severely injure) the Chihuahua if we don't get a handle on it.
She's intelligent, and we've taught her that a firm NO means to stop kicking, so she'll stop.... At least most of the time (bratty thing she is 🤣).
So far, tho, we haven't been able to teach her to just... Not kick.
She's so smart, she learned all by herself that when I (poorly) hum Mr Sandman, it's time for bed. She figured out that when I pat the sofa next to me, it's an invitation. She figured out what time my spouse gets home from work and waits for him by the door, and comes crying to me when he's 10 minutes late.
She's a brilliant joy, but we need to teach her to stop the vicious bunny-kicking if that's teachable, or learn that it's a breed/point quality that we have to learn to somehow work around.
What are your bunny-kicking thoughts, experiences, tips, stories, knowledge, especially with seal-points?
Gluten-free snack board dinner
Made from what I had in the house. I'm not calling it charcuterie to avoid some neckbeard descending with a *wEIL aKsHuAILy*.
From the top left, clockwise, spiraling into the center:
. Dried apricots
. Pickle flavored potato chips
. Deviled eggs
. Hamburger dill pickles
. Shelled pistachios
. Savory rice crackers
. Roasted red bell peppers
. Dark chocolate covered cherries
. Toothpicks
. Pastrami
Cold tap water for beverage.

"Full/Queen" and "Double/Queen" are literally always a lie and a disappointment.
The only time in my adult life I've been able to sleep with a partner in a Queen bed without one or both of our butts being uncovered is since I bought a King duvet cover and a King cotton blanket.
Seems no one sells a legit Queen, one that actually covers 2 people. The completely dishonest Full/Queen and Double/Queen are never large enough to reach the bottom of my 16" mattress on both sides *when no one's under it*, much less completely covering 2 people. It's infuriating.
So, since I can't seem to find single top sheets, either, what to do? Well, I put the top sheet on the bed sideways under my King duvet/blanket/comforter, what have you.
My sideways Queen top sheet has been a magnificent improvement. IDC if the top 6" of the bottom sheet is visible (not covered by the top sheet); I'm not trying to cover my face and head!
Thought this might be helpful to someone.
Can anyone refer for a creative (redneck) fix for a dragging car tailpipe?
Y'all, I'm from Texas and respect solid redneck fixes... Which is good bc my hoopty car needs one!
My tailpipe is dragging on the ground. I need help before it's left on the road behind me. 😬
Previously, our auto shop "wired it up" (bc the undercarriage is "eaten up by road salt"), but said that their fix would eventually fail bc "there's nothing really left to attach it too." (They're a good shop that's willing to try to save customers money, but this is simply beyond their comfort level.)
Y'all, I don't buy that there's no way to secure my tailpipe. I'm from a broke-ass place where you patch/plug tires, and your pal wires an aftermarket windshield washer fluid motor in parallel with a pocket knife, then zip-ties it to a fender bc no way in hell are you able to spend 3 weeks of pay on that.
This is a 22 year old car that's otherwise drivable! IDGAF what the repair *looks* like, inside or out, only that it's solid.
I'm digging it if someone says, "Well, I could drill a couple of holes through the floorboard, run a stainless band clamp through the holes, and strap up that tailpipe solid, maybe you should seal the holes with silicone, tho." *Creativity* and *smarts* are the heart of quality redneck engineering. ❤️🎉
Unfortunately, IDK nearly enough about cars, generally speaking, to be sure that would even be doable, or that I'm not drilling into something vital. That's why I need an knowledgeable person/shop.
Pls pls, I need your referrals to redneck engineering auto repair folks who are creative but smart, people who *get it*, and who can work that magic! ✨
Will answer any questions to the best of my ability.
I hope you know the answer to this, Kismai, or anyone else actually 🤣
What is that install that is prompted right after Buying a Coffee? Is it just the Buy a Coffee app (which I don't want or need), or is there something actually from u/Kismai aesthetic to install?
