So I downloaded the alpha from the link found in another post. It doesn't work. All it shows is a big ground texture with floating crane bits like it is bugged out. If this is incomplete or still needs Patreon to work why post a link? Is there a way to get this to work? I don't want a steam version because I don't want to mess with steam accounts, online DRM, and Steam launchers/clients. I want to run this on a PC that is offline (download from online PC, transfer files and run on offline one). Any ideas?

So the Manta is an Android device, great that opens up a lot of possibilities...but. There really doesn't seem to be a way to do the standard Android buttons like Home, Back, etc. That makes many apps unusable. Is there a fix for this? If I want to exit an app that doesn't have an exit button how to do it so that it isn't running in background draining battery? How do I back up one level using a standard Android back button? Right now it has swipe from top to bring up other tools like WiFi etc, swipe from bottom could bring up standard Android navigation buttons like many tablets have.

I have this demo installed on a pretty high end PC (amd 9800x3d CPU, RTX 5090 GPU, 64GB RAM) but I am not getting any of the ray tracing settings in the graphics options. I get resolution, other settings including "cinematic" which I assume is the max setting, but nothing about ray tracing. I get the regular screen space reflections but no RT. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? All other games like Cyberpunk, etc have all of the RT settings to enable just not this demo. What should I try? Is there a patch or fix that I might need?

In landscape mode PDFs seem locked to either the top half or bottom half of page. If you want to scroll so that you see the MIDDLE of the screen how do you do that?

Can the Kindle scribe be used to read PDFs and non DRM books offline? Will the pen work? I don't want to have to use any cloud services just to be able to use.

I saw this thread which indicates you can't use and save locally the note taking ability without Amazon services. Is this still true? If so it makes the device useless for me.

No bonus shows, guest hosts (Pat), constant ads and plugs during the show for the book. There are even 10 minute talks about how we need to support independent media ... so preorder the book. Yes everyone that listens to the show knows that another book is coming out. It looks like is will continue this way for a while yet. Book, Book, Book. It is getting a bit much in my opinion.

Every day this week the bonus show has been done by Pat, and well he is not that great. He always sounds monotone and boring like he is speed reading the "show" off of a piece of paper. What happened to David? Is he traveling around again or something?

So I heard that in order to be able to beat the bandit boss at the end of the "For Victory" quest I need master strike. So I go to Tomcat to try to learn it and it is not gonna happen. I suck way too much and am not even close to beating him. I can go 20 rounds with him and I barely hurt him. So now what? I can't get master strike to do For Victory so my progression is locked. I have done lot of side quests I thought but I still suck at sword fighting. Is there some "trick" that I am missing?

When making slushies that are slightly more than minimum it really doesn't seem to work that well. It seems to be designed to be used with full capacity. Much of the slush seems to stick at the front left top of the tank. It will just sit there and bob up and down while auger turns. It will not separate and blend with the rest which can affect dispensing. If there were some horizontal ribs in that area it would break suction and shake loose. Also much of the slush will just build up at the front of the tank and the rest of the evaporator cylinder will be bare and be doing nothing. To me the solution there would be for the auger to reverse direction briefly to spread slush, then go back to normal direction (and stay normal during dispensing). Also those ribs by the dispense hole could be raised a little to catch slush as dispensing can take a long time as it is not shaving off enough. Has anyone else had these issues? Are there any new design revisions to address these things?

What I want to do is make a bootable backup of my boot drive both on Win 10, and 11 computers.

What I need: No Linux software, I don't want to mess with Linux.

MUST clone drive as-is so if I upgrade SSD or SSD fails I can just restore the boot drive backup to new SSD and run as if nothing happened.

IMPORTANT: MUST be doable OFFLINE, and require no going online to install any windows updates or drivers. Must use what I already have and cloned. This way when Windows moves to no local account option and age verification BS I can run my current local account version without updating to the new stuff.

Need software with NO online DRM or expiration date. I don't want to be locked out of the software needed to restore due to an online check that I can't use if (duh) my computer crashes and I can't get online. It doesn't need to be free but needs to be portable so that I can use it anywhere without online check ins.

Needs to be easy to use with no complicated scripts, CLI commands.
