I love my goats Chance in Hell, don’t get me wrong. But feels like I can get everything BUT ice cream in this area. Pizza, burgers, brunch spots, Poboys, upscale restaurants, Mexican, Asian, great coffee, the country club, shitty bars, nicer bars, a brewery, bacchanal. I can go on. NO ICE CREAM? I’d love a second Ruthie’s location.

For how hot it gets here - seems like the market is open. Someone take the plunge by spring!

Looking for a daily driver that is adept at both I guess. I have race day shoes already but I'm looking for a running-focused shoe that is also decent enough for hyrox. I've done three hyroxes already but this is my first half marathon. I am going to focus a bit more on running this training cycle.

and by Buffalo I mean the region not the sauce. Who has the best buffalo-style wings? Crispy on the outside. Not too small. 8-15 flavors on the menu.

I like Cooter Brown's but theyre a bit spongy. Last time I had Bayou Hot Wings they were tiny.

I've been able to avoid spoilers of the podium. It's been two days since events 15-17 were paywalled behind floelite. The Floelite youtube posted other paywalled events within 24 hours. Just wondering if anyone has any inside scoop of why events 15-17 haven't been posted yet. It's already Monday morning and these were Saturday evening.

I'm still deciding which TV to get but narrowed it down to these two - LG C5 and Samsung S90F. 65" in USA so C5 is WOLED and S90F is QDOLED. I have the following options:

1. S90F through Greentoe for $1099 (no taxes/warranty)
2. S90F through Costco for $1199 (plus taxes so $1320 total and includes 5 years of warranty)
3. C5 through Greentoe for $1199

Is the S90F through Costco really worth the extra $220 for 3 years of warranty

LG C5 - $1250 (through Greentoe so this includes taxes...cheaper than the qm9k and s90f then)

Use case is 50% nighttime movies/streaming shows/sports, 25% gaming via ps5 pro, and 25% daytime. No direct light sources onto the tv. Room doesn't get super bright either, has darkening shades so I'm not sure if I need something that gets insanely bright like the U8QG and QM9k.

On paper the U8QG has everything I'm looking for: Dolby Vision, VRR, HDMI 2.1, 1440p, 165hz for sports. It seems like the best "deal." From what I've read, the U7SG now has the same processor as the U8. RTings would tell me U8 is the best value here, but I'm tempted by the s90f with the warranty, but it is missing DV.

Looking to upgrade my 55" entry level LG 4k tv from 2021. It was like $600 then. In 2022, I had a Hisense U8H but let my ex keep it. I really enjoyed that tv. From my understanding the U8QG is essentially the 2025 model of that line, so I imagine the jump from my shitty current TV will be substantial.

I’ve done a few 5ks and 10ks and have seen my running get progressively a little better each year. Closest thing I’ve done to an actual running plan was training for a hyrox for 12 weeks which was 3 runs/week of different varieties. My longest run ever was around 8.5 miles.

Looking to dip into half marathon races in the fall and need to start training soon. Any preferences for Hal vs NRC. Would I be Novice 1 or 2?

Weapons was made for $40M and no other Resident Evil was more than $65M. I get Zach Cregger has a name (among the horror community) but I don’t see how this $80M is justified for what seems like a straight up horror movie and cast with no big names. Weapons even had Brolin! Weapons grossed $270M.

I’m guessing some of the sets are insane and filming with IMAX wasn’t cheap? I think it’ll succeed but WOM will need to carry this HEAVILY to profit. I really hope this is good for its own sake. Resident Evil films have always been pretty crap so there’s no good will there.

Been in the market for a 65” OLED as a secondary TV. Use case is PS5 gaming and watching movies via streaming mainly. Maybe like 20 hours a week or so. Really trying to stay under $1000 if I can.

Was eyeing the LG C5 for $1049 (via greenstone so that’s after taxes), the Samsung S85F for $899 (also greentoe), or this Sony A80J off Facebook for $550 that caught my eye today. From my understanding, the Sony was a pretty premium TV when it was released. I think I want Dolby Vision so I’m tempted to eliminate that.

I played the og Bioshock on the 360 back in 2016. Right before the remakes were announced lol. Picked up the collection for $10 last week and finished Bioshock 1. Playing on PS5 Pro so it's1440p and a locked 60 for all 3 games. My TV is an unimpressive 55" 4K (not oled or mini-led or anything)

Started Bioshock 2 last night, and wow, the graphics are much more impressive compared to 1. The colors, lighting, shadows, textures, and overall fidelity were just better. Whether that's in line with the original vision is a different debate. But I was surprised how much better 2 looked compared 1, especially since they were remastered together.

PS5 is 1440p/60 for all 3 games, but a previous gen console is 4k

I can get 40% off Vuori through the trainer program and 15% lululemon with the first responder discount. From my understanding, this also stacks with We Made Too Much items. I see lulu currently has the Always In Motion on sale, but those aren't oriented for working out? FWIW, I prefer 7" underwear for working out, the V1 only comes in 5", and the Lifestyle is both 5" and 7". Lulu makes everything in 7" too.

How do the v1 and lifestyle boxers compare? From what I understood at the store is that the V1 is more workout oriented and Lifestyle is more for everyday wear. My use case is outdoor HIIT workouts and running.
