Would you invest in this if you came across it? Looking for brutally honest feedback.

I’m in the validation stage of a startup and I’d rather get told it’s a terrible idea now than after spending a year building it.

The problem I’m trying to solve is learning to drive.

Right now it’s fragmented. Learners jump between WhatsApp, theory apps, paper lesson notes, YouTube videos and trying to remember what happened during a one-hour lesson.

The vision is to build one platform that follows someone from booking their first lesson through to years after passing.

Some of the ideas include:
A learner and instructor app that work together.
AI lesson summaries generated from recorded lessons (with permission).
Personalised revision based on what actually happened during lessons.
Progress tracking and confidence tracking.
Interactive learning instead of pages of text.
Support after passing (first car, maintenance, breakdowns, driving abroad etc.)

I’m not raising money yet because I’m still validating the problem.
What I’m looking for is:
Would this excite you as an investor?
What would stop you investing?
What traction would you need to see before taking it seriously?

If you’re an investor or experienced founder and fancy a 20-minute chat, I’d love to pick your brain.
Be as brutal as you want. I’d rather hear it now than later.

What’s the most stressful part of driving?

Everyone seems to have one thing they dread.

Mines is driving on busy city centres just don’t go anywhere near them or driving in the snow.

Anyone got any of their own? 😂

If you could change one thing about learning to drive with anxiety, what would it be?

Im trying to figure out some ways to get over my own driving anxiety and was just curious what actually helped other people.

If you could change one thing about learning to drive with anxiety, what would it be?
Could be something your instructor did, something you learned yourself or just something you wish existed at the time.
😢

Am I the only one that forgets half the feedback after a driving lesson?

Just curious if anyone else gets this.

I’d leave a lesson knowing exactly what I needed to work on, then by the next lesson I’d forgotten half of it.
Anyone else or am I just hopeless? 😂

Looking for a technical co-founder to build a UK-based mobile app

Looking for a technical co-founder to build a UK-based mobile app. I’m not an expert developer, but I understand products, AI tools, marketing and user research. Looking for someone who’s passionate about building something from the ground up. Happy to chat and share more over a call.

Looking to chat with founders & developers building cool projects (20–30 mins)

Hey everyone,
I’ve started speaking to founders and developers building apps, SaaS products and AI tools, and I’ve genuinely been learning loads from it.

I’m not trying to sell anything or recruit anyone. I just enjoy hearing how people came up with their ideas, the challenges they’ve faced, and giving honest feedback from a product/user perspective.
If you’re building something and fancy a relaxed 20–30 minute Google Meet sometime this week, I’d love to chat.

Happy to:

Give product feedback
Brainstorm ideas
Talk through features
Share thoughts on marketing and user experience
Learn from your development journey
I’m also working on a few of my own ideas (AI, SaaS and productivity), so I’m always interested in bouncing ideas around and meeting people in the space.

If you’re interested, drop a comment or send me a DM.

What did getting your very first paying client feel like?

everyone remembers their first customer.
I’m building something of my own and would love to hear your story.
What was your first client like? How did it happen? Were they difficult? Easy? Did you celebrate afterwards?
Sometimes reading where people started is more motivating than hearing where they ended up.

What’s the biggest time-waster in your small business?

Running a business is great until the admin starts piling up 🥱

For me it’s always the chasing up, trying to keep on top of everything and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Feels like you spend almost as much time doing that as you do actually working.
Made me wonder if it’s just me or if everyone has that one thing they absolutely hate doing every week.

Let me know your stories, even if it’s stressful for you lot too.

I’m building a CRM specifically for UK tradespeople. What frustrates you most about the software you currently use?

Hi everyone,

Feedback valued even if you are not from the UK.
I’m in the early stages of building a CRM aimed at UK tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, joiners, builders, landscapers, etc.).

From speaking to people in the industry, I’ve found that many existing CRMs are either:
Too expensive for small businesses
Packed with features they never use
Difficult to use on-site
Built more for office staff than the person actually doing the work

My goal is to build something that’s genuinely useful day to day rather than another bloated CRM.
Some of the features I’m considering are:
Customer database
Quotes that convert into jobs
Calendar & scheduling
AI that writes job notes from voice recordings
Before & after photo storage
Invoice creation
Payment tracking
Job reminders
Recurring maintenance jobs
Vehicle & tool reminders (MOT, servicing, inspections)
Mobile-first design
Before I spend any more time building it, I’d love to know:
What do you hate about your current software?
What’s one feature that would genuinely save you time every week?
Any feedback is appreciated—even if it’s “don’t build this.”
