Bought a new house, found this canister next to it

I know: M201A1 is a military fuse used for grenades, smoke etc, and I also know it was dumb AF if me to pick it up.

Does anyone know what the canister is, and any ideas why the previous owner would leave it here?

New home - looking for advice for design/paint/furnishing living room

I have a terrible eye for interior design, wondering if anyone has any good ideas about design, style, colors etc. We'd like to paint the coffered ceiling. Also, I would like to have two couches and would love advice on placement, style, and whether they should be the same couch or different from each other. I know this is all subjective and that it would help if I described my sense of style, but I really don't have one.

The pictures I'm providing have staging furniture- none of it will stay with the home.

Any and all advice much appreciated!

Looking for lake fishing advice

I live in Portland, and in the last week of July my mother in-law, and niece in nephew 16 & 18 (who unexpectedly lost their father recently) are coming to visit as a respite for everything they’re going through.

Their Dad liked to fish so they requested that we go. It’s a dynamic group because I also have a six year old daughter and a not-too-outdoorsy wife.

My thought is that bank fishing a lake, or renting a pontoon boat for a day or two might be the best option for this group.

Hoping for something <2.5 hours from Portland, and preferably a place with lodging, but not required. I have plenty of trout/bass fishing gear.

I’m sure it’s slim pickins at this point, but I’d be grateful for any recommendations!

Thanks in advance!
