Night At Camp Blood

Skaleaton had a drop a while back that included these. Just found some kind deadboy selling the cassette for a price too good to pass up. Anyone else grab anything from this drop? I feel like this one flew way under the radar.

AIO fan header for one CPU fan?

Hi. So, I've been running into a small but kind of annoying thing I noticed with the ancient Noctua NHD15 G1 CPU cooler I have (12 years and counting, baby). There's a slight resonant hum called a beat frequency that's created by the two fans running at very close RPMs. The issue has been addressed with the design of the NHD15 G2, which comes with two different fans to create a 25-50 rpm gap between how fast they run. Noctua support also said I can try an LNA, so I got a pack of those and it solved the issue--but impacted temps too much for my liking since they drop fan duty by 30 percent and I already kind of run them low-mid RPM.

So, right now I have them plugged into CPU_fan and CPU_opt on my asus rog crosshair viii dark hero. CPU_opt is slaved to the CPU_fan header. I know the AIO pump typically runs at 100 percent, but I've heard that I can use that 4-pin aio header with PWM control if I set it that way in BIOS. Then I could just copy my cpu fan curve in FanControl and drop it down a few RPM.

Anybody done something like this who can weigh in? Seems like an easy fix for this issue without buying a new cpu cooler or new fans.

Anybody else get a bendy m-16a1?

Honestly kinda shitty for a figure this expensive. Figma snake V2

Other than this, though, he's....pretty good!

Origin of the sesh logo font

I don't see this mentioned too often. The sesh logo font originated in this 1977 film Hausu, directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi. It's a surreal fantasy horror movie.

Obayashi was a well-known TV ad director in Japan. He achieved fame for his experimental style. It really shines here, this movie is weird as fuck and definitely worth checking out.

PBO?

I turned on DOCP recently and love the performance but cpu temps are sitting at 73-78 in some games and around 80 in others. I see the occasional spike up to like 90 and it has me sort of freaked out.

Anyway, I've seen people mention that I should try out a "-30 all cores" undervolt.

I've also seen people mention setting the PBO limits manually.

where should I start? I have a 5800x and an asus Rog Crosshair VIII dark hero motherboard.

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3

CPU: RYZEN 7 5800x

Motherboard: Asus Rog Crosshair Dark Hero VIII

BIOS Version: unsure

RAM: 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 3600MHZ CL18 (not entirely sure, it's been a long time)

PSU: EVGA P3 gold 1000w

Case: Bequiet Dark Base Pro 900 (ancient relic case)

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 10 current

GPU Drivers: Current

Chipset Drivers: unsure

Background Applications: MSI afterburner, fancontrol

Description of Original Problem: Seeing some high temps after turning on DOCP. Occasional spikes under load to like 91c, which seems to settle down after that to like 75ish

Troubleshooting: I've installed a few new fans, one intake and one exhaust. I've applied fan curves and whatnot.

EDIT: My cooler is an old Noctua NHD15 Gen 1

Looking for some advice on cooling

Hi there. Let me start by posting my specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x

EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 (deshrouded with kit from osserva on etsy, 2 noctua 120mm fans installed)

Bequiet Dark Base 900 (the old discontinued one)

Noctua NHD15 gen1 cooler from like 12 or so years ago

3x noctua case fans + 1 bequiet side intake fan

So, my temps are fine (65-75 GPU, around the same at load for the CPU)with some curves at 60FPS. I use fancontrol to run a cpu curve that keeps noise and temps in balance to my liking, and afterburner to control the GPU fans.

However, I'd really like to take advantage of my hardware and my 165hz monitor, which I usually keep in 120Hz. But my system starts to struggle with temps once I hit 120FPS. At 120 I'm seeing more like up to 83 on GPU and 85 on cpu--under the limit but kinda close.

Where should I start on addressing the cooling issue?

Do I get a new, more airflow friendly case than my current metal dinosaur, or should I start by liquid cooling my CPU? I've been kind of putting that off because I have some auditory hypersensitivity and I've heard it can be an equal trade between fan noise and pump noise.

I keep my system pretty clean and open it up regularly for routine upkeep.

I'd appreciate any input. thanks, dudes. Let me know if there's any information I should add.

Edit: Forgot to mention I've already undervolted

If you could have sesh do some merch that's off the wall, what'd it be?

I would want some kind of low-poly PS1-aesthetic indie dungeon crawler game with models and anims by XVNI and graphic design / other art by Plastiboo. I'm pretty sure XVNI did the cover art for Dungeon, it looks like his work. He definitely did the art for SparrowsCreek. Plastiboo did the art for Withered.

You can find a ton of dope 3D sesh art here at XVNI's site: https://www.xxvnii.com/

and Plastiboo does this this sick as fuck faux ttrpg lore book thing called Vermis: https://hollow-press.net/collections/plastiboo

Some black metal from Season of Mist!

Rotting Christ and Carpathian Forest. The CF ones haven't been reissued in quite a long time. The Fuck You All! Is from 2006. The Aelo from Rotting Christ is the newly released re- recorded version.

Favorite tracks:

RC: Ne Zigmar, Χ Ξ Σ (666), Demonon Vrosis

CF: Fire Up the Incinerator, Here Comes Another Useless Fool, It's Darker Than You Think, Vi Apner Porten Til Helvete

Both bands are what I would consider to be more "accessible" than certain other BM bands and styles. RC is melodic and CF is just a rockin time. They do a very good bm cover of Turbonegro's All My Friends Are Dead, which I wish I could find in some form of physical media. You may know the original version of that song from Jackass Number Two

Got the tamagotchi, and my lil dude henshined into this guy. I'm kinda new to the fandom, which one did I get?

If anyone's curious, I fed and hydrated him pretty much every time I did, and alternated consistently between the rider kick minigame and the bike minigame. I was pretty good about keeping the shocker goons away from him.
