You can still redeem the delisted 2013 version of Final Fantasy VII using the Magic the Gathering code card.

If, for whatever reason, you still want the delisted 2013 version of Final Fantasy VII, you can still get it by redeeming the promo card code from the Magic the Gathering FFVII set. I thought it might work since the cards were released before the new version was released, so I bought a card on ebay and it redeemed both the 2013 and 2026 versions.

[Gen IV] Shiny Manaphy at 5832!

I've had this hunt going off and on for 2 years now. It was a traditional Manaphy hunt in the beginning, starting new games, trading over, hatching, resetting, repeating. But then I saw AbsolBlogsPokemon's video and I had to change to this method.

So, I spent all the time setting up ACE and got TID/SID randomization working. But... I decided to take it a bit further. Instead of 1 egg, I got 4. And then, since I have so many modded consoles, I dumped the game with it's save and copied it 3 times. Second pic was my setup in the end.

I don't normally do these kinds of things with my hunts, so if you don't consider this legit, I get it. None of this lowered any of the eggs' individual shiny odds, but it definitely sped things up.

My next major target is Wishmaker Jirachi. I don't know if I'll use any similar shenanigans for that one, other than save corruption. Got a few other things I'd like to knock out before the Bank shutdown, too. Good luck out there on all your hunts!

...oh and in the end, I got the shiny on the console running the original Pearl cart/save... so the other 3 were kinda pointless

A small warning about PokéPark Kanto, re: Pokémon Center

The Pokémon Center in PokéPark Kanto has a well known event where you can hand your plush Pokémon to Nurse Joy and she will "heal" them for you. It's fun and cute, but they are very strict about only allowing official merch for this.

I brought a very old Vulpix. It was one of the first pieces of merch Pokémon ever released in America. It was from KFC back when the games first released. It has been through a lot. It was my favorite toy as a kid and bringing it here actually meant a lot to me. But it obviously no longer had a tag. I had even cut the butt-tag off decades ago. The person there helping Nurse Joy did not want to allow it. They seemed to think it was unofficial/bootleg.

I explained as best I could and Nurse Joy eventually stepped in and said it was fine and took the toy with everyone else's. So this is just a warning. Only take official merch that still has some kind of tag, or have some other proof it's legit.

This is the ending of the Sailor Moon live show in Shinagawa, Tokyo. Just got back from Japan and this was the first thing we did over there.

The pillow and buttons came from a Jump Shop. Found the WonderSwan games at Retro Game Camp in Akihabara.

In my last post, I said that it would probably be my final update, as I had scanned every standard issue of Pokémon Fan except for the first issue, which had proven very difficult to find. Shortly after that, however, I was contacted by someone who had it and was willing to scan it! They did request to be anonymous.

This first issue is one of the most interesting. There are several nice images of the New York City Pokémon Center. There's an early logo for Pokémon Colosseum. There's pre-release info on Jirachi: Wish Maker from before it had an official English title. Plus more!

At this point, all that is missing are some variants, but those seem to only be differences with the covers. I may update with those eventually, but I'm considering this project complete for now.

Here's the direct link to the first issue.
Here's my Internet Archive page, where every issue can be found.
