advice about pitching everything at once without sounding like a metric merchant

Hi all, I am a new seasonal hire. I come from toxic retail that had similar metrics for much worse pay so honestly Apple is somewhat better, although I quickly figured how its the same thing here, and reading about how much better it used to be def sucks because Apple is similar all of my shitty retail jobs of the past, except that the pay is more than what managers made at said past gigs.

My end goal is either cybersec or saas sales, but being kept permanent at Apple would be sick for the benefits and as a second job. Anyways, I wanna learn how you all break down EVERYTHING into a sale? Like, we are expected to push accessories, Applecare, Business, services all at the same time, and I can’t help but thing this constant barrage of ‘if you don’t mind me asking’ will eventually ruin cust experience (it would defo piss me off as a cust).

Just wanna learn how the best here go about it while sounding human and maintaining charisma? Like it’s easy to pitch one or two services but pushing all of them
in a sale just conceptually sounds weird, I am probably going about it wrong so I wanna learn how I can change my approach. Thanks

good otc sunscreens for a very problematic T zone?

M25, skin is combination, good everywhere besides the T zone, areas under and around nose are oily and prone to painful whiteheads. Sunscreens are a big trigger, what’s one without a cast and that won’t irritate the skin? ideally one i can find in a shoppers or walmart. TIA

Resume tips with no formal experience?

Hi all, I have a Pol Sci degree under my belt, with the majority of my experience being in retail, with notable places being Apple and Best Buy.

I have recently been applying to a lot of SDR jobs, with all being ghosts/rejections, and one interview (albeit at a known big ish company).

I need advice around how I can tweak my resume to look appealing for SDR, ideally in tech/saas. I would say my Apple/BB experience involved a lot of pitching services that built a thick skin, and I did my best to twist it in a way that might look good for sales hiring managers. I also have outreach/communications experience in University that involved cold calling/emailing to secure sponsors.

Would appreciate any piece of advice here, I feel like I just need guidance around how to build a good looking resume.

Also, whats the consensus around using agents such as Claude to build Resumes through overleaf? that is something a lot of friends put me on.

Many thanks,

Nothing seems to work, need product help

Okay so bear with the ramble,

M25 with overall good skin but an extremely problematic T zone, especially the nose and the crevices/areas RIGHT under and besides the nose. Looking for product reccs but ideally want to stick w general store stuff to not break the bank.

Over the years I have tried a variety of different products, but wake up every day if not every other day with those painful white pimples/zits in that area. Recently I switched to the Cerave foaming cleanser, with crease night cream for oily skin, and ultra sheer dry touch 60spf. Beyond this I use Cetaphil Salc Acid Acne serum .5% twice a week and spot treat with Benzoyl 2.5%. Adding the Benzoyl and Salc defo helped but the area is still problematic, though slightly better than before.

I suspect it is my sunscreen, but I have had terrible luck w sunscreens as a whole. The few days I did not use sunscreen, my skin was better, with only one or two less painful whiteheads forming, but then using the sunscreen again yesterday made my pimples come back.

My T zone is definitely much oiler than the rest of my skin which is normal/dryish. Can someone help me build a affordable routine that won't trigger the area around nose at all? Everything I use right now is non comedogenic but the issue still persists.

Please and many TIA!

Trade in policy for EPP in store pickup? store said I can only get gift card

So I bought a new phone on EPP and did not do trade in online, instead decided to trade in in store since one of my core training mentors told me that is an option.

Today, when I went to my store to pick up the new phone and trade in the old one to method of payment, they said they can’t do it and will instead do trade in just to a gift card? I am a little lost, is this an actual policy?

Go from 16pro to 17 base purely for storage?

Hi all, I currently have the 16 pro that I have been using for 2 years now (89% BH)

I can get a 17 for $170 Canadian more after selling/trading in the 16pro

I love my phone and don’t care much about features, the only thing I need is more storage, since ios and system data alone eat up 40+ gigs, and the better cooling might be nice since my 16 pro overheats a lot in the car.

Is this a reasonable decision?

Former Politics and Governance students, what career path did you end up with?

So I am a recent Poli and Governance grad, and I do not want to pursue Law. What are some field related career paths for me?

Currently I am considering sales, so the traditional SDR to AE path, but was curious what are some jobs that require or prefer a Poli Sci degree? I am slightly lost, and was curious if I could get some advice around where to go with my degree.

Where to go after Best Buy (Canada)

Tale as old as time, I feel miserable w my current job, and I really want to do something better w my life as a 25 year old.

I work in Canada, the hours are nice, but it is a sales heavy environment, where after every laptop I am asked if I got a Membership or Warranty. My final straw was when I got paged for not getting a membership despite closing a $450 pd on a laptop.

Anyways, I recently graduated in Political Science, and have always loved gaming/tech. I am a decent salesman, but I just dislike the whole culture at BestBuy where we make minimum wage while doing pushing attach, and are told to use ‘we make no commission’ to close deals lmao.

What are some routes I can take for jobs? what are some good fields for someone like me?

Its not that I’m not grateful to have a job, its more that I feel like we deserve more, and the whole warranty/membership push is scummy. Its really hard to sustain at $17.60 cad and growth within BB doesn’t seem too worth it. I am currently considering getting some IT certs and looking to work within tech for the gov, but is there anything nice that I can do w my BB experience.

Got my second Citizen

Kind of got into watched a couple years back and picked up a cheap citizen quartz from a authorized retailer in Pakistan. Fell in love and decided to buy an eco drive when I had the money for it. Walked into a citizen store today and absolutely fell in love with this Brycen Chronograph Eco-Drive. Can’t stop admiring it :D
