Explain it to me like I am 5. Because I don't know why addictions would be blamed on a mega project.

The optimist in me says this is a great idea and an awesome first step to having the name Newfoundland mean more than just fish and oil. Having countries pick Newfoundland as the place to have their ships built because we live next to the Atlantic ocean and salt water in our veins. Jobs, pride in our homemade ships sounds just great.
The pessimist in me sees this "proposal" as a nothing burger and just something to tell the voters "Hey we are doing something"!, but in the end they figure out we cannot be competitive on the global market, or some other bullshit.
I hate being a pessimist, but ever since the lower Churchill fiasco, I just don't see this going anywhere.

Groves Road (VOCM News)
The City of St. John’s has voted against changing the zoning to allow higher-density housing on vacant land in Groves Road, a rural type neighbourhood off Mount Scio Road.
Some 200 people in the area signed a petition asking council not to go that route as it would change the character of their streets. All who voted, except Councillor Sandy Hickman, chose to keep the status quo.
Councillor Hickman saw infill housing as the preferred route.
“Otherwise we get urban sprawl, and increased services and taxation,” said Co. Hickman. “This will also, with the installation of hydrants, provide firefighting services to people in the lower area, something which I feel is pretty important.”
Thundercracker, bought him day 1 everything clicked on except his knees when going into his jet mode. Especially his right knee locking in. Fair enough it works after a few minutes bending the knee and fighting for the click. Sometimes his toes pop off. Hey, new mold, growing pains right?
Skywarp, bought him on day 1 and he is an improvement in every way, both knees click in almost first try when going into jet mode. Toes still fall off a little when getting knees to click into the shin. Whatever. The two flaps behind the cockpit like to fly off like missiles just at the slightest little bit of force put on them. Annoying yes, but easily put back on. Getting better...
Starscream, I do not care what anyone says but which each seeker released they were behind the scenes tweaking the mold for the next character. How could they improve?
Well they did, the knee locking into place is near effortless. Toes and flaps not flying off either.
But what I did notice is the male butt flap that sockets into his butt socket is bigger than the other versions and takes a little more work but with that little extra POP! the jet is more sturdy up top, everything else pops into place like smooth butter.
They deffenitly were constantly trying to improve with each release and it's commendable. Hell, I would say if you were to buy TC and Skywarp in a month's time, it would hopefully be based off the Starscream revision which means a better mold.
Years ago there were pics of the tank trailered into town and If I recall it was to be used at SFC St. John's for the motor pool mechanics to get hands on experience working on actual tanks.
The thing is I don't recall any pics of it ever leaving the base.
Is it still there in the garage somewhere as an educational tool?
If so, my son who is on the spectrum LOVES tanks....I really do mean LOVES tanks and if it's still there is there a way to get a guided tour of the building and perhaps see the tank up close?

I gotta say I'm on my second container of it and it's not getting even new food grease stains out. I have to rewash it and blast it with the President's Choice stain remover to get it out.
Not impressed with it's performance.
Setup: Note: No water hardness issue with our town water.
- A&H super concentrated (Yes I know it sucks and the replacement is behind it waiting for its turn (Kirkland) )
- One cap full of Resolve Gold put directly into the washer drum first.
- Downy Rinse and Refresh in the softener section.
- Insignia top loading washer with agitator
- Set to usual setting (Not for bedding). Normal wash, warm water, presoak, and extra rinse.
If I don't use the PC spray the resolve does nothing to get the grease stains out.
Anyone else noticing this?
What a great set if you love the Insecticons. The colors really do pop, including the white/greyish parts that do match the movie.
Pros: Just a solid hefty set of the top 3 Insecticons. Colors look great, they are solid and are not floppy. The guns really look great for each character.
The added energon cubes are a nice added bonus albeit a bit too small for my taste.
Choking hazard for sure for kids and pets, so watch out!
Cons: Bombshell mold...why do you keep breaking my heart. Legacy Bombshell, Legacy Barrage and they keep ignoring the problem again in this line. In beetle mode the arms will not tab or stay tabbed into his thighs and shin flaps. If you are lucky you can hear a click and maybe one side stays in but then you work on the other side and that one pops out. Sigh, I put my OCD out of my mind and I just try my best and then leave it alone.
Kickbacks added wing things are just ugly and well, they are going into the same out as my SS86 TFTM Hotrods extra gear. Into the sandwhich bag of doom!
Get them while you can, I can see this set being a scalpers paradise.
I cannot get his arms to tab into side leg panels and the thighs as well.
It's like it just won't align with whatever I'm doing.
I remember having the same trouble with Barrage.
Can anyone help me here?
