English Translation Patch Released for [Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional] - for the NDS - by Ceris White, Gerb, Ilario, Reflex, and team.

A huge thank you to Ceris White, Gerb, Ilario, Reflex, and many others for making and releasing the English translation patch for Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional for the NDS.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 was already released in English officially, but we never got the enhanced version (Joker 2 Professional), which adds more than a hundred monsters, new locations, extends the story beyond the normal ending, adds a lot of quality of life enhancements, and much more.

~ Description ~

Joker 2's gameplay follows closely to its predecessor. Players explore areas and tame wild monsters into their party. Monsters fight in turn-based combat and grow stronger. The battle system itself is very similar to previous Dragon Quest Monsters games. The player controls up to three monsters that make up the party, and can issue them direct orders or set them to one of 4 AI settings. This game features two new monster sizes: large monsters, which use up two spaces on one of the player's two benches, and gargantuan monsters, who take up an entire bench on their own. The main character, who is henceforth referred to as the Hero, does not directly participate in battles except for when the player uses items. He can, however, use any item in his possession and not just the ones 'in hand'. 311 monsters from the Dragon Quest games appear in Joker 2, with a few new species, many from the original Dragon Warrior Monsters games This is the second game in the series to feature Wi-Fi support, after the first Joker game, and the first to support direct battling between players.

Square Enix released Joker 2 Professional, an expanded version of the game, on March 31, 2011. Professional features over 100 new monsters, as well as new regions and abilities, but the same story. Players are able to import their old monsters from the original game.

Finally as always please drop a thank you to people who worked on this patch, it takes years of hard work doing hacking, programming, translating, editing, and testing to bring these patches to the JRPG community, and all of it is done for free, so if you're going to use it or hell even if you won't, it always nice to show that we appreciate the great work these translators are doing.

(29) 2019 - 2021 - 2026

I'm not sure whether to post this in this sub. Honestly, I don't know if I've changed enough or if it would actually count as a 'glow-up'. When I was a child, my parents always told me I was overweight; for most of my childhood, I hated looking at myself and thinking I was an obese child. When I finished secondary school, I lost weight without really doing anything, but even so, I didn't like the way I looked. Nowadays, when I look at my photos from that time, I struggle to recognise myself; I don't feel like that skinny version of me, and I always felt ugly. I've put on a bit of weight now, and on that particular day my hair looked great (I love having long hair). So yes, I do think I've improved a bit.

From 2019 to 2026

I don’t know if I’ve changed that much, but sometimes, seeing how thin I was before the pandemic makes me realise that I don’t recognise myself in that image – I even found it hard to look at myself in the mirror. These days, I might be a bit overweight (I’ve got a dad’s tummy without actually being a dad), but I no longer feel so out of shape.

Another attempt: Help. PC emulators aren't working on my mobile

Well, this is the second post (in this sub) I've made asking for help with this specific issue; honestly, I'm going crazy.

I’ve tried various PC emulators, but none of them seem to work properly for me.

I tried Winlator Ludashi, but just like with all the other Winlator forks (including the vanilla version), it seems to close immediately. I’ve even tried pre-installed games, but in many cases the container closes on its own; I don’t understand why.

I’ve also tried Gamehub Lite, but it doesn’t even run the game I want (Fable Anniversary), and the same thing happens with GameNative.

If anyone knows what else I can try, or how I can check if the problem is with my device (Infinix Note 60 Pro, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, Adreno 810), that would be a huge help.

Winlator shut down its own without installing my games. What could I do?

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well. I have a device with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, and I’ve been trying to install Fable Anniversary for days, but I haven’t been able to get it to work on Winlator. I’ve tried the official version, Ludashi and Frost, but none of them have worked for me.

I created the container as I thought it would work normally; I don’t make many changes to the settings. But the container usually closes within a few minutes of opening. Trying to install my game has been almost impossible.
