Early miscarriage

Found out last week after a few months trying that I was pregnant around 4.5 weeks, 2x positive tests, super strong sense of smell, fatigue ect. I was maybe overly excited and bought baby trainers, me and my husband started planning and talking about how it would be and it was genuinely lovely few days. Then I got bad cramps, lower back and leg pain, went to the GP today and had a negative test, doctor did bloods and a physical and diagnosed early miscarriage. I'm feeling sad but then feeling guilty for feeling sad given its so early 😞 Just looking for anyone who's been in the same boat and might have a few pick me up words, I went through ten years of cancer treatment before getting here to be able to try naturally so I am used to staying positive and staying strong normally, but this has knocked me a bit

Finished my first ever triathlon!

Several tears, a lost fingernail and a broken thumb but I did it! This was a lake district triathlon 33 mile cycle with 1000ft elevation, 2 mile canoe and then a hike up to Skiddaw. Took 10 hours in total and I have to say I am hooked 😅

Rate my hangover drinks/snacks

Top choice would have been an oringina in a glass bottle but couldn't find any

Disheartened on period 😫

Been working so hard the last 5 weeks and have lost 1.8kg! However it's dreaded shark week and the scales this morning have gone up 2kg, feels so disheartening. I also am pretty much hoovering up anything in my kitchen. Does this happen every month? 😭 Trying to stay positive so I keep momentum

Advice on recovery

Hi all 😊 Recently took up mountain biking after signing up for a mountain type charity triathlon- mountain biking, followed by hike/trail run, followed by canoeing across a lake to the finish line. Admittedly when I signed up I had had a few beverages and had forgotten about the fact I hadn't ridden a bike of any kind in about 15 years 🙈 Training is going well so far, some good short trails, plenty of stationary bike prep getting used to time on the saddle again. However today I did a 40km trail with decent elevation through forests and gravel paths, really enjoyed it but I cannot sit down now! On top of that my back, shoulder and hands are extremely sore, will this all get easier or am I doing something wrong? I am a genuine newbie so please be kind!

Help me decide 2 hours to pick!

I'm currently in London, heading back home (north) soon and want to get a new perfume from Sapace nk as we don't have any where I live anymore. It's a special anniversary as I've survived cancer for 10 years! So I feel I need to honour the day and treat myself to something a bit different that will remind me of the day. I have been interested reading about Phlur Honey Moon, also love any vanilla, fruit scents, love a bit of green scent. Hit me with your recommendations before my train leaves 😅

Spooky experiences in Aviemore?

Just got back from my 5th or 6th stay in Aviemore, normally stay up at coylumbridge or rent a cottage but this time stayed at High Range Lodge at the end of the town. Never had a spooky experience in or around Aviemore before depsite even once getting stuck walking through Rothiemurcus in the pitch black in January! However this stay was different, every night I woke up hearing someone stomping past our door, sounded like they had hiking boots on, looked out the spy hole, even opened the door and absolutely no one there (it's a long corridor not many places to hide) as soon as I got back in bed it would happen again and this occurred nightly around 3am. Our light in the room would also turn on and off and we heard what sounded like a man humming outside by the tree line and again, there didn't seem to be anyone there. For context I live in a big and busy city in a ground floor flat so noise is never an issue for me, regularly sleep after nightsshift and don't wake up even when there's roadworks or sirens or people shouting right outside my window.

Just got me wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar in or around Aviemore, I have looked online but can't see much about any hauntings other than the grey man of Ben Macdui.

Feeling like Clark and Floyd 😭

Training for a triathlon and found these alternative bikes in my gym. Legit feel emotional using them, just picturing myself riding along with the thunder boys

Hi all 😊 new here, recently signed up for my first ever triathlon, bit of a different one as it's bike, run, row rather than swimming. I use KipRun for training for marathons in the past and now looking for a new app. I did see trainingpeaks but it looked so expensive for a plan! Any suggestions of cheap (or ideally free) apps or sites?

From our local - chicken shwarma, houmous, olives, halloumi, salad, fresh slaw, flat bread and muhammara (think that's how you spell it!) Plus some cheesy chips and nachos on the side 😋 (not all for me)

So I successfully passed my viva with minor corrections 6 weeks ago now, received my official corrections report 4 weeks ago. I always assumed I would be the sort to do them immediately to get them over and done with, but I just have NOT been able to muster the energy yet! I still have 3 months to do them in and am hoping some motivation will arrive but its like I feel numb at the thought of them. For anyone else who has been in this situation, is that normal?
