Here is Zeb

We got Zeb last night from the shelter where they predicted he’s a black mouth cur. We think so as well and as we have never had a dog of this breed or similar I was hoping to get any advice. Zeb is estimated to be 1 or 2 and has so far shown great excitement in our other dog (5 yr old german shepherd/cattle dog). We are following the slow integration as the shelter recommended. I work from home for now and want to make sure I’m getting him enough stimulation and exercise. We’ve done two walks one alone and one with our other dog but both walks he is a strong puller and wasn’t interested in the treats for looking at me or slowing down. Also as i write this he is demolishing a rope toy. I want him to be as happy as he can be here. He has shown great signs of feeling comfortable but I want to be sure he isn’t bored or miserable during the day. I let our first dog out very frequently but she’s fine if i leave her alone so i can work. Any and all tips, tricks, or suggestions would be appreciated!

Becoming a teacher

Has anyone used their English degree to teacher high school or middle school? I am getting so many different stories that I won’t get hired if I get my English degree then get a temp teaching license. Anyone have any experience on this? I’m getting my degree in English Lit and want to teach but I’m getting freaked out that I will struggle to find work in an already overly saturated subject area.

Aspiring Teacher

Please lmk if this isn’t allowed and i’ll take down. I am finishing my AA and transferring to get my BA in English Lit but I had an overwhelming feeling that I will be completely unprepared because I am getting my degree in English and not teaching. I go to school online while working full time and can’t afford to be a student teacher so hence me not finding a university I could complete education degree online. I want to teacher high school English and I am so worried that I will feel like an imposter. Are there things I can do now that will best prepare me now? Any kind of advice is welcomed!

Timeline update

I posted the other day my original timeline but i did hire my photographer for two more hours. Our wedding is in December in Florida and the estimated sunset is 5:30 so it’s pretty important to get photos before the ceremony. Any thoughts, tips, opinions?

When will I feel calm?

Today we had a second walk through of our venue that I requested because I was struggling to remember certain details and my dad needed to see how tall of a ladder he will need day of the wedding. We are just under 6 months out and I thought I had so much more done but it just reminded how much I need to do. I still don’t have any suits picked, I’ve had to recorded bridesmaid dresses twice because they discontinued the styles I liked, still no clue what I am doing for center pieces, have to figure out a background for the sweetheart table, and just a load of other things that 100% slipped my mind. The lady giving our tour was kinda judgmental of some things like having the bar in the outside courtyard area when the reception is indoors or out choice to have chipotle cater ( i think she thought i was kidding). I’m feeling so immensely overwhelmed and on top of it all I am full time working and full time in college and am transferring to a 4 yr college this fall and will have a heavier workload. I originally planned on taking the fall semester off but didn’t want to delay my degree any further. I’ve now been anxious all day and feel as if I won’t have everything planned in time. Does this feeling stop?

English Lit Major - How difficult?

I am transferring in this fall from IRSC and will be an English Literature major completely online. I took a LIT class at IRSC for this summer A and it was ass but I also think the professor just sucked and since it was summer it’s accelerated. I signed up for the classes my counselor at UCF told me to but I want to see how screwed I am. I work full time during the week and cram most work in the mornings before work or the weekends. Sorry for the crap quality of the pic but someone let me know if i’m just stressing for nothing. Or any tips from anyone who’s completed any of these classes.
