I see a lot of predictions about Acuff in this sub. Some people say he's gonna average 38 PPG 12 APG and 10 RPG on 60/50/95 shooting splits in his rookie season. I think that's reasonable if not a lowball estimate.
I see people saying he might help lower crime in South Sudan by using his own money to develop their infrastructure and institute robust and nation-wide neighborhood watch programs. Okay fine, maybe.
But then I see some absolute glazers claiming he's gonna get Kim Jong Un and Lee Jae Myung to shake hands before next offseason. And that's where I think you're just being ignorant homers. Yes both Koreas share a similar language and some cultural touchpoints, but that does not mean they are close in any real way. Citizens of either nations have had decades of programming teaching them to fear and hate the other nation.
A 19 year old kid from Chicago, who doesn't speak a lick of Korean (of any dialect) and does not have any significant military backing him, is not going to undo a century of emnity in his first year in the league. I know everybody's feeling good right now, but sorry I gotta burst your bubble.
Just let him focus on basketball. It's his first year and he has a lot to grow. We can enjoy seeing the process without putting all this pressure on him. Thank you
Just a question: what is this guy's name again?
TENFTORY. Now that's a very weird name, and it almost seems like a misspelling. But what happens if you take out the random "t" in the middle? His name becomes TENFORTY...
Tenforty? Ten-forty? 1040? That sounds familiar......
The Princes quarters have this interesting pattern where their room number follows a formula: Prince # + 1000. So Tserrednich, the 4th prince, lives in 1004. Woble in 1014. Camilla in 1002, etc.
So we come back to this peculiar name: 1040. It should be obvious where I'm going here. Is it possible that Tenftory is a human manifestation of the 40th princely room? Absolutely!
That means there are 26 unaccounted for princes from #15-#39 as well. Does it stop with #40 or are there princes beyond that?
Maybe this succession game is much bigger than everybody though. Both in universe and readers

I vaguely remember some insider saying early this year that Perry ”loves” Acuff. And this was surprising at the time because we were legitimately in AJ/Peterson/Boozer convos.
Is it possible that Acuff was actually a top 2-3 player on the Kings draft board tbh is whole time?
Think about the bubonic plague where like 1/4th of the population died. Surely at that point you become numb to death and you're not nearly as sad as with the loss of a loved one in normal conditions?
My biggest fear is that we make the Finals and get completely beat down just because so many of our players will be rookies/sophomores. Getting beat down on such a big stage might kill their confidence and be ultimately worse for the future
Better to be patient and let our players slowly ramp up. First round one year, 2nd round next year, and then WCF. After that they should have the experience to handle Finals pressure
IIIRC the cameraman was behind the baseline
You got a big city with one major sports team and yet all you’ll see is the occasional and very rare bumper sticker or kings cap. where’s the pride?
Estimated ratio of ear height to head height
Raynaud has an approximate Ear-To-Head-Height Ratio of 0.28 (which means his ears cover over a quarter of head height!).
Should Kings fans be concerned about this, though? As always, the truth is more complicated.
This PubMed paper offers useful data of measurements taken across 420 volunteers, and here's what it finds: the average range of Ear-To-Head-Height Ratios is between 0.26 and 0.30. Or in other words, Maxime lands straight dab in the middle of that range.
But as basketball fans, we know that sometimes the box scores and eye test don't match up. So, what's going on? Why does it feel like Max is sporting such large lobes?
One theory is that it's an optical illusion (or rather, the brain taking shortcuts making assumptions). Max is a big guy in general: he has a big body, a big head, big eyes, big mouth, and big nose. We never look at Max in a vacuum, but always with the prejudice knowing that he is a large man. This means our eyes see regularly portioned ears, but our brain tells us we're seeing Dumbo on two feet. This is just the side effect of how our visual processing system works.
All the science aside, I can finally answer the question: no, Kings fans should not be worried.
