Dizzy!!

Alright girls who is always dizzy while pumping? I am dizzy like 24/7 if not sitting and it’s annoying.
Doing all the things drinking lots of water with electrolytes, moving slower, eating good (slight deficit but nothing wild). My baseline bp has always been super low usually around 80/50 but I lived there my entire life pre baby no problems. I just wanna workoooooouuuut and not pass oooouuut✨✨

Feeding w ToF

Question for moms with babies who have ToF. I know they sometimes have a hard time gaining weight due to fatigue with eating. My little guy is fed breast milk and averages ~30 oz a day right now but sometime that’s a struggle. Some bottles take 45 minutes to finish but I know he needs the calories so we just take breaks and try again later. My question is as they got bigger did you notice their intake decreasing? He’s 11 weeks now should I expect this to get harder for him? He already seems to struggle maintaining his weight percentile. Also if they start sleeping longer stretches at night did you wake to feed? One night he went almost 7 hours without a feed and I wasn’t sure if this is ok with his diagnosis.
I know I should speak to his cardiologist and I have an appointment already I just wanted others input. If you did end up fortifying breast milk when did your docs make that call? Also I know they can have cyanosis w feeding and I haven’t seen that yet with my baby but did anyone not have that at first and as they got older see more and more of it w feeds? He does get blue sometimes with crying and pooping already but it’s faint.

New tetralogy of fallot diagnosis

My 10 week old was just diagnosed with ToF. It was mild enough to be misdiagnosed as just pulmonary valve stenosis. They tried ballooning his valve and luckily did it unsuccessfully. I was told had it been successful my sweet baby would’ve been in terrible shape due to the misdiagnosis. I’ve been distraught about this new diagnosis and the fact that he’ll need surgery soon. I’m just looking for other peoples stories - either adults with ToF and how your life looks or other parents who had to go through this with their babies. I know it’s “figured out” but doesn’t make open heart surgery and a life of medical care less daunting.
If your baby had/has ToF are you taking care of them differently? My baby has been dropping weight percentiles but through lots of work and frequent feeds I’m keeping him between 40-50th I’m just worried once we hit this threshold month mark he might start showing more symptoms.
Did any ToF babies have developmental problems due to the diagnosis and being more tired than usual?
Lastly has anyone had to manage a test spell in their baby? I haven’t yet but am afraid the day might come

What is with these grandmas

Little rant - I have a six week old and am pumping with a little bit of nursing thrown in there to feed him. Little man eats anywhere from 1.5-3oz every 1.5-2.5 hours during the day with nursing more so for comfort. Truly no biggie we feed on demand and those are his demands lol. Why do my mom and MIL and literally any women who had their last baby 25 years ago argue with me on his feeding. Furthermore if they’re holding him and I know he’s giving a hungry cry WHY DO THEY ARGUE AND NOT GIVE HIM BACK TO ME truly it makes me murderous. Trying to shush him and shove a pacifier in his mouth while he screams thinking they know better. I just take him or make my husband do it I don’t play with that but like why be so annoying.
It’s at a point where I won’t leave my baby with them because I don’t trust them to feed him when he’s hungry because they don’t think he should eat so often.
Rant over I just have postpartum rage.

6 week old fussiness

Hello fellow new parents. Did anyone’s baby at 6 weeks get so unbelievably fussy and stop napping? My little guy is taking 20 minute contact naps only like every 3-4 hours. He doesn’t sleep well at night either still eating very 2-2.5 hours. I swear I’ve tried it all

Swaddling
White noise
Stroller
Car
Walk around holding him
Bounce holding him
Singing/reading/talking
Swing
Bouncer
Baby wearing

He just wakes up constantly until 20 minutes later he gives up on napping. He’s so overtired idk how to help I feel bad for the little guy. I breastfeed and my caffeine is limited to one coffee a day idk if that is causing it? He’s not gassy or having reflux or anything just truly only wants to be held and scream.

Anyone have any tricks or tips? I know they can start doing this at this age they have a leap or whatever. He’s otherwise healthy just miserable. Thanks in advance from a very tired mom

What nursing jobs are we doing with kids?

Currently a beside cvicu nurse of five years and just had my first baby. My unit requires every other weekend and 2/3 of each winter and summer holiday group. I don’t want to miss my baby growing up and unfortunately bedside will cause that. But I also enjoy three shifts a week. So what are those with young kids doing? What jobs allow some flexibility and least amount of missing your babies growing up? I enjoy my job and the acuity and bedside aspect but I’m willing to step away for these first couple years

I’m FTM 40+3 and lost my mucus plug at exactly 40w and then yesterday at 40+2 started having some constant back pain and period like cramps and bloody show around 7pm. Got super excited this might be early labor so tried to rest as much as possible going into today. Well I was up all night from 3am with back contractions every 5 minutes. Very regular and followed the 511 rule. Had my 40w appt at 8am and wanted to see if I was dilated (tbh was expecting it) before heading to L&D. Well imagine my shock when I wasn’t even dilated a little. Less than a centimeter. So told this is false labor and to go home and take a bath and see if it helps. Well I went home and took a warm bath and have been trying cat/cows, pelvic tilts, miles circuit, being on all fours to try and reposition baby better. Nothing is stopping or progressing it I’m just having intense back pain every five minutes that takes me to my knees. Occasionally I have a real contraction in the front but man this back labor is killing me. I’m tired and fed up and I want it to progress or stop at this point I don’t care. Anyone else have this and have any other advice???
