Shut up about my battery life!

I was humiliated and thought about just calling it a day and leaving. I slept on it and realized the calls were really special. I wanted someone to just yell at me at the time, but in hindsight I actually really appreciate the kidgloves, because I am my own biggest hater. I needed someone to defend me against me.

On Friday my boss called to give me a $23k raise.

What in the fuck just happened? I am gobsmacked

Thought it would be interesting to show a really fucking weird career progression.

I applied for hundreds of jobs in 2019 and got to the point where any job was a good job. I worked as many hours as they’d give me. 2021-2022 I was working 60 hours a week. In October 2022 a customer spit in my face and called me a bum because we fucked their order up. I rage-applied to 6 jobs, got 4 callbacks and 3 offers.

I don’t know what the hell I did wrong in 2019 but man did it build an insatiable drive in me that I did not possess before. I am really proud of myself for digging myself out.

I’m 37, if it matters.
