TX: Considering chapter 7

I have a plot at a cemetery that my sister and I purchased for my mom under my name. Does anyone know how this would be treated if I file for bankruptcy? Would it be better to sell this to my sister or mom change ownership or will this be protected in TX like my house and car?

Madden 27 Offline Franchise Review

As the title suggests, I want to reiterate that I am an offline player that simply plays franchise mode on PC. The last madden I bought was Madden 25 on PS4 with Adrian Peterson cover, but I have kept up on madden through my favorite content creators such as Bengal, C4, and Jeromepkr. Here is my review after a little over 100 hours of franchise simulation. (Yes I know I have no life but the game has sucked me in)

The rundown -
Once, I loaded up the game and got into franchise I was sucked in. I didn't even notice all of the flaws, I just enjoyed playing the game with the new rookies and with my favorite team. On a surface level the game performs fine until I hit about 50 hours.

Franchise immersion killers -
I started realizing how broken the game got in franchise JUST TWO years into my sim. Contract/cap management is completely broken. Contract cap hits are egregiously high, and by just a couple years into my franchise, nearly every CPU team seems to be dealing with negative or extremely limited cap space. This creates a massive domino effect across the league: teams can't afford to make trades, free agents are harder to sign, and it becomes nearly impossible to replicate realistic blockbuster trades. For example, a trade like the Rams acquiring Myles Garrett would be practically impossible to recreate because the CPU simply doesn't have the financial flexibility to move players. It also contributes to the lack of meaningful CPU-to-CPU trades, making the league feel stagnant. The fact that the salary cap becomes this dysfunctional only two years into a franchise is a massive immersion killer. Lastly, I have seen players signing 7+ year contracts which is just ridiculous.

Trade logic is completely broken. Quarterbacks are way overvalued, teams overvalue veterans even when they're clearly below .500, and teams that should be looking to buy or sell rarely make meaningful moves. You can legitimately trade Tua Tagovailoa for Brian Thomas Jr or a similar WR with his caliber with ease.

Free agency is an utter and complete joke! I've offered complete mega deals to top free agents and they have never signed with me. Every contract negotiation is just adding extra years or adding an insane bonus. None of this is realistic. The UDFA frenzy is a also complete joke - the addition of the UDFA bidding was great but the execution is a complete whiff.

CPU Roster management is horrdendous. There is no logic behind it. I've seen CPU teams keep 4 quarterbacks on their team and 3 cornerbacks. How is that even possible? I've seen CPU teams draft the same position four years in a row and they have 4 80 overalls in the same position. An example, I have is the NY Jets. They have Mason Taylor and just drafted Kenyon Sadiq in real life. Literally in 2 years - they draft TE back to back in the first round making them have 4 TE's on the roster that are all comptenent starters.

Simulation is still completely playbook based which is awful. I've noticed this is always a trend in any madden YouTube rebuild video I have watched over the years. Right now the most broken offensive playbooks look like the Rams and Giants. It almost seems like player overall never matters unless the player is a running back. Also, simulation stats are way over tuned. There are way too many QB's throwing over 4000-4500 yards and running backs running over 1200 yards.

There is still no way to implement a running back by committee that simulates good stats. Also, you want to utilize 2 tightends in simulation? Forget about it - it is useless. I've found to get the best simulation stats regardless of playbook is to have a super high overall RB (90+ overall), any quarterback over 85 overall will get the job done, and at least 2 receivers that can just be 80+ overall. Tightend overall hardly matters. You could throw a 70 overall tightend and the stats will simulate the same depending on playbook.

Player progression is way too linear. I am just not a fan of the player progression flat out. It is so repetitive and boring. You have an 81 overall normal DEV QB that is age 26. He could throw for 4000+ yards and 40 TD's and all he'll get is maybe to an 84 overall if you're lucky. There are no year 3 or later breakouts like there are in real life. (AKA Bakey Mayfield, Seahawks Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, etc.) There needs to be a more in depth way for player progression rather than just age and development trait.

I just don't know how you can release a game and not even test simulation 2 years deep. I was really enjoying the game for the first 50 hours and then after further playing just realizing how broken the game was is infuriating. I'm not even going to touch gameplay because I don't really load into games to play, but I wish there weren't so many immersion killers for me. If you were to ask me what I would rate the game for the first 50 hours - it would've been 4/5 for me. Now after playing a little over 100 hours its like a 2/5. The problem is that Franchise Mode falls apart once you actually spend significant time with it.

International work trip while on probation

I have an international work trip coming up to Europe and I will be going through the proper channels to get an international travel permit. I would love to spend an additional 1-2 weeks there for leisure and travel around to neighboring countries. What would be the best way to go about this? Work is a valid reason but I'm not sure if 1-2 extra weeks for fun would be approved. What happens if I request permission for 3 weeks for work travel and spend 1 of those weeks traveling around?

How long will it take to get all of this as a new player?

Who can figure this out? How long will it take behind all of the grinding and time-gating to fully trait everything?

Probationers who traveled and got caught, what happened?

How did you get caught and what was your consequence?

Im getting permission to go to 1 country in Europe for work but would like to travel around to neighboring countries as well for leisure. Probably risking too much if I don’t get permission for all countries beforehand

Motion to revoke probation, renegotiating conditions half way through.

I was given 60 days as a condition after I picked up a DWI on felony probation and I am serving them on weekends. Would it be bad faith to ask my attorney to see if the state would shorten the days in jail for good behavior or convert them to community service hours instead after the 30 day mark? My attorney said anything can be requested but would this be something the DA office even consider after the plea deal to accept the 60 days?

Any felons go through bankruptcy on top of their charge?

Currently serving year 3 of 10 year deferred probation and considering bankruptcy. Feel like both will be completed around the same time so I feel like it makes sense. Looking for a corporate job is already very difficult with a background…will a bankruptcy make it impossible? Currently own a house and don’t plan to make any big purchases for the next 5-7 years.

Anyone else have experience with both and can share?

Considering bankruptcy…what separates a good bankruptcy attorney from a bad one?

I’d imagine the process is the same. What makes a good bankruptcy attorney better than another?

Why do plea negotiations feel so closed door?

As an example, I was offered 10 years deferred for my charge. I told my attorney to counter with 7 and she said she would call the DA office in the morning. A couple of days go past and I followed up with my attorney who said they wouldn’t budge on the 10 years. I asked if they could get an email or paper trail requesting the 7 but it was done over the phone so there wasn’t any. Is this normal for plea negotiations? Why aren’t negotiations documented better for the benefit of all?

VOP picking up a new charge along with technicals related to new charge

How are situations like this usually handled? Is it common for a VOP case to be addressed after the related new charge is resolved or are the matters typically handled independently?

For a criminal case, does the willingness to go to trial generally provide a better plea deal?

If a person is willing to go to trial, do they generally get a better plea deal?

If an attorney is more known to go to trial, do they generally get better plea deals than an attorney who is known to plea?

If you needed to hire an attorney, how would you go about selecting one?

Pretend you picked up a charge in another country where you don’t know anyone or know the laws. No one was able to give you a references for local attorneys. What steps would you take to select and hire an attorney?

How important are the details in a court order? Is this something I should ask my attorney to have the State fix?

I was pretty annoyed at my attorney yesterday when he had me sign the order. We had originally discussed and agreed to the plea which included 60 days as a condition being served on the weekends (Fri-Sun). The order that was presented to me stated Friday-Monday. I told him I did not feel comfortable signing it because it was not what we discussed and not what I agreed upon. He tried to justify it by saying I would be completed sooner and even went so far to tell me that I could talk to the Jail about it to release me Sundays. I literally laughed and told him the Jail follows the paperwork and he said, "not all the time, sometimes they don't." After a little back and forth he told me to just sign it and he'll go back to the state to fix it. I signed it and he ended up crossing out the Monday and handwriting Sunday in for everyone to initial.

After reviewing the order more, the start date of the weekend jail is also written in as 5/15/26. The order is signed on 5/21. Is this an important detail? Something I should ask my attorney to have the state fix? Everything has already been signed by the state and the judge. My understanding is that I am to start today, 5/22. My worry is that someone could look back on this order and check it against my jail time showing I didn't report on 5/15 even though the order wasn't signed until 5/21.

TLDR: Accepted plea to serve 60 days on weekends. Order was signed 5/21 but states I am to start weekends on 5/15 but should be 5/22. Does this need to be fixed on the order to be accurate?

How do condition/sanction jail time show on your record?

I have 60 days as a condition that I will be starting soon. I was granted weekend jail so I will be going in on Friday and released Sunday for 20 weeks. Will I have 20 different mugshots or arrest records for this? Will those mugshot websites be posting me every week?

How is mitigation used in plea deals?

I went through a drug possession charge (first time offender) and then picked up a DWI while on probation. I completed all the recommended mitigation while awaiting sentencing before the first plea was offered. I really feel like my mitigation wasn't even considered or used though when dealing with the pleas. I feel like my outcome would have been the same with or without the mitigation.

How much does mitigation actually help?

I bought these in hopes that they wouldn’t stain. $300 sheets ruined…haha. Are there sheets that would be better to deal with sweat stains?
