I just want to pull my kid and homeschool but

Is it weird that now I’m worried. I’m worried about her 1-1 aid being out of a job… I’m worried about the BHT I just hired did all that leg work to get into the school… for me to just yank the rug out. School starts next Monday.. I’ve been battling already… I don’t want to keep battling year after year… I want to put all that energy back into my kid instead…..

Does anyone do this and homeschool?

I take my kids with me on my runs. I’m looking into homeschooling. I’m wondering if any of you do bus life and home school. What does your typical day look like?

Online homeschool curriculum?

Another school battle has me settled… I’d like to pull my 2nd grade kid and homeschool her this year. I’d like a curriculum that’s already laid out for me since this is my first time teaching. Is there one that can be completed by the child on a laptop? I have a theory that introducing a laptop instead of pen&paper will really be more beneficial for my kid.

Would you make a stink?

My 7yo has behavioral issues. Sometimes there are meltdowns involved with bus travel… the district forced a move to a school across town. The transportation dept says it’s either a 1.5 hour bus ride each way or I have to drive her to 30 min across town myself (this would also cost me my job)

Is my only option make my kid suffer or quit my job!?

What would your kid want to do for work?

I’m brainstorming. I’d like to open a non-profit that would hire autistic adults, no matter their abilities. I just am stuck at what type of business would be the best for them. So I ask you all. If you were looking for a job for your autistic adults, what job would that be?

Thank you for taking part in my crowd brainstorm

Will it ever end—school stress

My 7yo has a very difficult time with school. She’s rather immature for her age….She used to do great but since last year… it’s just been hell. Right now we’re in summer school times. Just 4 hours a day… no word from the school on behavior problems but the bus driver had issues. I just…… am so tired of the constant juggling emotions just to survive basic school activities like riding a bus or following commands…. I don’t see the point. We all know come 18 when she graduates, the system will forget she exists and then what? What was all this battling to conform for? If she didn’t like going I’d be homeschooling by now…..

Other problem. Headphones have become a 100% of the day thing at school. Not at my request. The school created that problem. Now she doesn’t hear anything anyone says, she’s in her own world all the time now and she just gets mischievous followed by frustrated because she’s being rushed to do something she most likely didn’t hear…. Is it possible to break the headphone crutch? I know I know it helps many children… but I don’t think it’s beneficial anymore. I think it’s becoming painful and allowing her to check out.

Could it be a blockage instead?

Hi all! I took my 10 yo springer spaniel to the doggie ER yesterday. She is very swollen in the belly. The vet told me it’s fluid building up around her organs… I understand that this means there’s an underlying condition to treat and it’s critical to get her drained, tested and on a treatment plan….. I just have a question. Is there any possibility that my dog could have an intestinal blockage instead? One that may not have shown on the X ray? I only ask because the night before the swelling began (about 5 days ago) my dog had the worst gas I’ve ever experienced. I mean horrendously terrible gas. That same evening I caught her with a raw ear of corn that my kid must’ve dropped and it was chewed to bits. Then the next day she kept straining like she needed to poop and nothing happened. The next couple days were all diarrhea… yesterday we had an episode of vomiting so I got worried and took her in… all in all. She’s acting normal, eating/drinking fine still and the only real symptom (other than the diarrhea, no more vomiting) seems to be the belly distention… yes I also understand I could be bargaining with grief… but I can’t help but be curious if a hunk of that corn cob could be lodged somewhere secret…. I’m waiting on an appointment selection from another vet to see if they have time to do the drainage procedure and array of tests…. I just want to know if the corn could be something to mention

Ascites vs a blockage?

Hi everyone!

I took my 10 yo springer spaniel to the doggie ER yesterday. She is very swollen in the belly. Old lady is shedding worse

Hi all! My lovely girl Zoey is 10 now. She’s definitely showing signs of being an old lady. The most annoying thing is her hair. We’ve always had the shedding and the coat blowing, but this year is different. Her shed is very inconsistent and the fur is very straw-like. Obviously I’m bothered by the extra vacuuming, but now I’m more curious if this is an indicator of more serious health issues. Other than a little limp, she’s very healthy. Is this typical aging or do I need to look into something else?

Thanks to all who helped me yesterday— here’s the photo I kept getting asked for

Thanks everyone who talked to me yesterday about second skin! I’m tech dumb and couldn’t figure out how to just add this pic to my original post. So if you asked to see it I hope you see my post today haha. This was fresh, right before it got bandaged. It’s my favorite piece so far. What style is this considered? Neotraditional?

Should I keep the second skin on for another day?

I got this on Tuesday. The second skin is still intact on all the edges. The artist said 3-4 days. There’s a lot of fluid at the bottom and I’m worried about it popping at night. Should I take it off and begin the next steps? It’s not bothering me so I don’t mind going another day if it’s not really a concern. This is my first rodeo with this second skin stuff…

ISO of recommendations for DIY on a door way

My youngest baby sleeps in our playroom in his crib. It’s never had a door, just a thick blanket covering the entryway to block light. I need something temporary-ish to mimic a door. Same reasons. Block sounds and light. I’ve been shoving a piece of foam board insulation in it and it’s helping him go off to sleep, but it’s a pain to get in and out.

Any ideas or product recommendations?
