Hey everyone. Still searching and looking at few options of vehicles. Live in Alberta where winters are very cold (-40°c). Kinda broadening options a bit for price range and total km range with reliability. Looking at

-toyota bz.

-chevy equinox EV.

-hyuindai inoq5

All need to be AWD, I keep seeing how the ioniq 5 has the most room but how big of a difference is there between these options. Mostly just need room for 360 car seats as I have 2 kids. Otherwise it's a work commuter. We have a bigger palisade as a regular family driver

Sorry everyone forgot to mention I don't wanna spend over $55k CAD.

Anyone have any idea if there's even a chance the ev6 might come back to Canada?..I know they stopped because of the tariffs etc but sadly the one I was interested in got sold and there's none left in my province.. just wondering if I should just give up and look at something different

Hey everyone. Looking into a possible EV. Live in Edmonton Alberta, price and size wise kinda looking towards Hyundai inoq5, Kia ev5 or ev6, whats your opinions on these?

Curious how the back seat room is in the PHEV with the 3rd row folded down, is there a lot of space? I have a revolving car seat and the Kona I'm in now is basically squished against the back of my front seat for how little room there is

Hey everyone. Looking into new vehicle, debating between EV, PHEV or hybrid. Been doing math and as of right now there is a higher chance if I want a EV I would need to upgrade my pane which would be fairly expensive (I've heard some chargers are smart and can be installed with these kind of parameters) I drive around 60km each way, depending where my next job is come winter (industrial electrician) I might have access to site charging I might not.

Looking for a suv as I want something bigger then a car but still limited room in my garage. Limit I would say is $50-$55k I would say. Not interested in the Rav 4 really just because back seat room looking at specs is no bigger then the Kona I currently own, I have 2 kids so also looking into something with bigger back seat room.

For panel upgrade I already talked to epcor and they only ran supply cables that can give me 110A max (currently panel is 100A) so it would be very expensive to upgrade to 200A

Question for those with experience. Live in Alberta Canada, winters can be nasty getting into the -40's °c, other then getting less ev range, is there anything significant with getting a PHEV with or without a heat pump?

And before anyone says anything no I'm not getting a RAV4, need more room then what it offers for car seats etc.

Hey everyone thank you for the help with the last couple posts. After doing my own research and feedback from everyone I'm between two vehicles. Im looking into either the 2026 Hyundai Tucson PHEV or the Kia Sportage PHEV. I'm looking at top trim for both so I can get the 360 camera and a couple other things. Just wondering peoples opinions and experiences for people either owning or looking into either of them.

And for reference, yes I know Rav4 has better range and more reliable but for interior space and price range I'm not wanting that.

Hey everyone. From Canada and just looking at a few different PHEVs I'm contemplating at upgrading from a full gas Kona.

Looking between the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and the Mitsubishi Outlander. I'll be probably maxing out the km range on all 3 as my drive each day for work is around 60km each way, but I can plug the vehicle in at work. Just wondering what everyone else has gotten and what their opinions are. I also have 1 kid and second on the way so more room in the back seat and cargo in trunk is another thing I'm looking at.

EDIT** sorry everyone forgot to add. I'm hoping to spend less then $50k on one. And I also figured a PHEV would be better as I could potentially drive more on electrical and save more gas then a standard hybrid, unless that wouldn't work as well as I think
