What does Latvian language sound like to foreign ears?

I'm really curious to know. Posting this random street interview video as an example.

The leather has changed color after applying a neutral cream, it looks like it has been scuffed.

I apologize for the poor photo, but it's hard to take a photo that shows the difference clearly on camera (it's clearly visible in person). I applied a neutral cream and wiped it with a microfiber cloth. Afterwards, a small scuff appeared on the fold, and the leather became whiter. Is there any way to fix this? And how can I remove the scuff marks from borders and the black lines? Thank tou all

How does the business model work between companies and interims? Employee responsibility?

I found a job through an interim contract; I need to work for about a year before getting a permanent contract. The interim contract between me and the agency will be weekly. At the same time, I'll have to take courses at the company, for which the company will pay. I was curious how this works. Where I previously worked on a permanent contract, I had to work for a certain period after training to avoid having to recoup the tuition. But now, the company will invest in me, and if I decide not to sign a new weekly contract with an interim, their investment will go down the drain? Or should I have a separate compensation contract with the company or interim? If not, is it really beneficial for the company to invest in someone who might easily leave?

Polish Army Day in Warsaw, is it worth visiting?

Hello. I'm interested in Polish Army Day in Warsaw. I like military themes and all that. Is this event worth a special visit to Poland? I tried to find the program for the day, but so far without success. Will there be any interesting activities besides the parade? Where can you recommend a place to watch the parade?

Is Baltic porter sold in supermarkets during the summer, and which one would you recommend?

Here in Latvia, Baltic porter tends to disappear from supermarkets during the summer, at least in my town. I’ll be in Lithuania this weekend and would like to stock up. You have a wider selection there than we do here, so I’d love to get some recommendations. According to ratings, Volfas Engelman is considered the best.

How to get into this field without experience with ROV?

I live in the EU and am interested in working as a ROV pilot. I currently work with drones, but the underwater world really interests me. I sent open applications to several companies, but they don't have any apprentice positions. I wanted to approach this from a different angle, but mechanic positions require an engineering degree, while research positions also require a university degree.

There are courses online for €7,000-€14,000, but in my experience, none of these courses guarantee employment, and I don't have that kind of money.

Which companies in the EU can you recommend for monitoring positions?

where is the problem satellites and sdr

I’m new to this hobby and a bit confused about where the problem lies. I’m trying to pick up *something* from the Meteor satellite. I have a NESDR Smart v5 dongle and the stock antennas and I recently built a V-dipole hoping to improve the signal, but the actual result is what you see in the image. The V-dipole itself is working, judging by the fact that I can pick up other signals, but I’m getting nothing from the satellites.

*Jā, es mēģināju uzdot šo jautājumu FB grupā "Latvieši Beļģijā", bet viņi man neļauj pievienoties, acīmredzot es neesmu pietiekami latvietis.

Midsummer Night events in Poland (Noc Kupaly)

I'd like to attend Midsummer Night in Poland. I found an event in Krakow, Wianki, but it seems too urban to me. Other events on Facebook look interesting, but they're too neopagan and require camping gear+car. There are events in museums, but they don't last all night. Are there any more traditional options, with partying until dawn? I don't have a car, tent, or anything else, so I'm interested in events closer to the city. I've been to similar events in Lithuania and Latvia; people light bonfires, drink beer, and dance; that format suits me just fine.
