Just had my worst food delivery order ever today

Today was a bit of a special day for me, I was working late, and I had mostly ran out of ingredients at home so I thought that ordering a nice meal would be a good idea today. I was craving Italian, and saw on GrubHub there was a place nearby I hadn't seen before. I always look at the location of the restaurant before ordering, since my area is starting to get a fair amount of ghost kitchens. The location on Google showed a different Italian restaurant that was labeled "permanently closed." Weird, but I figured it was probably a restaurant that rebranded/recently closed and had a new place open, which happens fairly often here. There's one location that for the past 15 years has been constantly opening/closing different Asian restaurants every handful of months to a year, though it's currently been a successful ramen restaurant for a few years now (previously it was a different ramen restaurant that lasted less than a year).

I ordered baked ziti, mozzarella sticks, and tiramisu. It arrived fairly quick, nice driver and everything. The pasta itself was fine (though it was rigatoni, not ziti), tasty but was definitely not baked nearly long enough. The mozzarella sticks were bad. They looked pretty disappointing and tasted like the most generic frozen mozzarella sticks you can buy at a grocery store. The tiramisu was straight up frozen, and also prepared like shit. It's a really basic dessert, I've had it delivered by a couple different restaurants and haven't seen it fucked up nearly this bad.

Maybe I'm expecting too much but I was hoping to get something really nice today. I just had an extremely shitty meal that was overpriced from a sketchy "restaurant" that feels like it was just a ghost kitchen ran out of some guy's apartment. I've never left a bad review for a restaurant (and in general. I had Lyft drivers vape in the car and still give them 5 stars) but I did give this one 2 stars. I feel bad but I also feel like I was given shit food. Just a great reminder not to order out...

Thai jackfruit curry with brown rice. One of the tastiest things I've had in a long time, but I ate it all before I could get a good photo

On a whim I followed [Hot Thai Kitchen's jackfruit curry recipe](https://hot-thai-kitchen.com/northern-jackfruit-curry/#recipe) because I happened to have the ingredients or half decent substitutes. Instead of pork I used a bag of Daring plant chicken, 2 cups low sodium vegetable broth (instead of water), and some mushroom bullion powder. I went with her suggested substitute for some of the greens and had Chinese broccoli and chrysanthemum greens.

Everything was absolutely delicious. Go to an Asian grocery store and make this, I promise you won't be disappointed. It was so easy to cook too.

(The drink I had with it was snow chrysanthemum and sweet ya bao white tea with a bit of sugar. It didn't actually turn out great but I had to make chrysanthemum tea with the chrysanthemum greens)

Out of curiosity, how does a blue screen actually occur, and how can the 3ds be fixed from that?

Trying to avoid triggering the "br*cked" automod, but I'm just curious to what actually causes the blue screen to happen. I know that the 3ds can (but now always) still be recovered from there, but I also don't know how that works beyond "use ntrboot"

Good work boots that don't use leather?

I work a fairly laborious job, running around and taking 20,000+ steps a day. I've been here a year and have completely worn down two pairs of shoes, some old boots I had for a few years, and "barely worn" sneakers my coworker gave me. I'm trying to find replacement shoes right now, some kind of work boots that are waterproof (absolutely required) and can withstand a lot of wear. I'm already struggling finding any shoes in my size (I'm a women's 7 and most good shoes I've found are either only in men's), and a lot that could potentially work use leather, which I don't want to support.

What's a good brand/material/shoe that could work for me? I'll take any recommendations, I'm planning on checking out a few more shoe stores tomorrow/the day after. I'm okay with buying leather secondhand, but want to know what are other options y'all would recommend, especially because I'd like to be new shoes that will be able to last a long time.

Found what looks like mold when I was halfway done my taco bell burrito

Generic "am I going to die" comment but moreso just pissed off. It doesn't look like it was on the tortilla specifically (maybe something at the wrapping station that got on it?) but I'm not going to keep eating it regardless.

Thai chili pepper stem?

I used a bird's eye chili pepper to simmer in a curry and I think I accidentally ate the stem. I can't find a clear answer on if it's unsafe to eat

When did facial hair start for you?

I naturally have always had a lot of/very dark body hair (pre-t I already had a pretty noticeable happy trail), and already had slightly darker peach fuzz on my face. I'm 2 months on T now and can't tell if some of my facial hair is noticeably darkening or if I'm just more aware of it because it's on my mind. My cis partner pointed it out mostly joking, but said I do have a slightly noticeable mustache.

I'm probably going to start shaving my face just because I don't want to look like a 14 year old desperately holding onto a shitty mustache, but I'm wondering when everyone started noticing actual facial hair starting to grow since I know it's something that varies a lot

Best $200 I've spent

I've been eyeing some of w2t's teacups for a while, but this one really looked amazing to me. I'd love to get more of their "yes" collection now, but I think I'd have to save my money for a bit ahaha.

I'm drinking their 2026 Slipstitch with it, which is pretty lovely. It's a roasted white tea, but I honestly think the roasted flavor is very mild. Being said, it tastes nice with the other flavors of the tea, the "sweet hay" description on the website is pretty accurate
