Are there emergency situations where an EP is on call and has to roll in?
Upcoming Cardiology resident (non US based, and currrently an IM pgy1) I have always been passionate about cardiac EP, but lately i have rubbed shoulders with some IC and I love the adrenaline and the rush yet i believe I will do way better in devices and pacemakers compared to structural things.
So my qs, are there any emergency situations where an EP has to place a pacemaker at 3 am in the morning? or is a temporary PM placed until EP comes in the morning and does the job. thanks

i am a muslim, in love with a greek girl, we broke up due to many differences that was essentially my issue and not hers. I kept feeling, the cultural and religious differences are too huge to make it work, do you know of any type of marriages between a muslim and a greek that worked?

Sunt într-o situație și aș aprecia orice sfat.
Dau din nou examenul de rezidențiat, deși am deja punctajul necesar pentru a-mi schimba specialitatea în cea pe care mi-o doresc, însă într-un alt centru de pregătire.
Dacă nici anul acesta nu reușesc să obțin punctajul necesar (m-am reapucat de învățat acum aproximativ o lună), credeți că ar trebui să îmi asum riscul și să încerc varianta cu schimbarea specialității?
Am vorbit cu o doamnă de la Ministerul Sănătății, care mi-a spus că îți poți schimba centrul de pregătire, dar doar după ce te-ai transferat mai întâi în acel centru, în specialitatea în care ești deja. Problema este că acest lucru ar fi posibil abia după ce ajung în anul II.
Tot ea mi-a spus că ar fi mai bine să dau din nou examenul de rezidențiat, deoarece există posibilitatea ca anul viitor să se modifice legislația.
Ce ați face în locul meu?

Marrying against parents?
met a girl, fell in love, she is willing to convert, yet i am certain she is doing it out of love and not out of genuine faith

- should i go ahead and marry her?
I am 26, still living with them, financially independent kinda since i support them, will move out next year inshallah
Their expectations for marriage are unhealthy. I am a resident doctor in Eastern Europe and get paid pennies, i will make good money by the time i finish training so at the age of 32-33, only then they are thinking of looking for a wife for me, how tf am i supposed to stay sane man? They are like you cant get married now cuz no one will accept you, since u dont make enough
Arabs and their expectations man, if i were to marry the girl i love now, she would be okay if we get married at a mcdonalds
