Love how human everyone is with posts asking about VR games

Every single time we get a post asking about VR games, everyone gives what they recommend. We've got a lot of these, well, more like half a dozen, but in every single post, people have recommended fun VR games, given links, given reasons to play it, in every single "what VR games should I play?" post.

It feels very welcoming & warm to see everyone want others to enjoy what they love, or tell about games that are less well known than others.
I'm just a lowly game player yearning for the Frame as much as everyone else, but I'm happy to see, despite most of us living on hopium & copium, we still tell of VR games that must be played.

So I guess this is a thank you to everyone who've always recommended fun VR games when someone comes asking, no matter how many posts a day there are, & a thank you to the moderators for allowing these posts.

Please don't stop being human.

This a bug?

There clearly isn't a river between these two. There obviously is to the south, but they're coming from the west, not the south.

Is this a bug or something else?

Edit: Solved, see u/RamondNoodals comment.

Question About Zar-Hay & Mazwi

So, finally got around to playing Zar-Hay, loving it so far, but I have a rather BIG question to ask:

Why don't they just attack Imperial Mazwi immediately? Mazwi has literally no army. Not a division, nothing, 0s everywhere, whereas Zar-Hay, without staring any wars, has at most 10-13 divisions.

Why do they go after all the others & end with Mazwi when Mazwi don't even have an army? Would it not make more sense to take Mazwi first & then the rest? Would Mazwi raise a large well-trained & equipped army if Zar-Hay invaded?

Or is Zonni Zolon thinking to leave them last so they can watch as he takes all their former lands before marching on them?

What ya'll think?

Download, install & play Skyrim VR modpack on Steam Frame without using PC?

So, the Steam Frame is basically a PC you put on your head, that I get, does that mean it can download, install & run a 100GB modpack for Skyrim VR?

The one I'm particularly looking at is FUS, it's the only one that's a reasonable size of 115GB maximum, Steam Frame having 256GB would still leave me with 145^(ish)GB for other games.

I know I could do all this on PC, but I already have Gate to Sovngarde & can't fit another 100GB modpack on my SSD. Thanks to UK nose sticking surveillance laws, I can't delete GtS & download it again without having to buy a VPN & buy Nexus Premium again - really don't want to go through all that, espcially with the possibility that VPNs could be inaccessible in the UK.

But, with the Frame, I can store a new modpack without revealing my ugly ass face.

So, is this possible, to download, install & play modded Skyrim VR with the FUS modpack on the Steam Frame? Or should I not bother cause the Frame doesn't possess the hardware to handle it?

Thanks!

Edit: Thanks all for the replies, guess I'm not gonna get to enjoy Skyrim VR ='(
Honestly, with what else there is like Blade & Sorcery, it's not much of a loss.

How hot could the Frame get?

Based on what we know about the Frame's components, how hot could it get?

Actually, can VR headsets get hot like PCs can?

How we all feeling about the Machine & its price & everything?

Just thought I'd ask a human question, if that's okay, of how everyone's doing having seen the price for the Steam Machine.

I'm honestly more annoyed that we might be waiting till July for the Frame, but only a little, 0.1% annoyance added to 0.0% of annoyance. If nothing else, Machine & Controller are out & done, now we just wait for the Frame.

I think it's release will be July for certain. Controller was May, Machine's out in June, so Frame will be released July. Just realised, Valve's released "3" hardware, so that's a first for them.

How we all feeling about it?

Hanging light above your VR play area, good idea or not?

I have the right amount of space to play VR, but my remaining issue is the ceiling light right above it.

To those who've played many hours of VR, how often do you have to, or find yourself, having to swing your arms over your head in order to do something in a VR game.

Do I need to remove the light & get an electrician to put in a flat, out-of-reach, ceiling light or am I good?

Thanks!

Should call this the "Harmony War" cause they're all Harmonic nations

Hope this comes out okay, can't seem to choose image like before.

Edit: I've no idea why the image isn't displaying, there was literally no option for image.

Anyway, Barrad attacked Gryphus. Gryphus puppeted Barrad. Wittenland attacked Barrad. Coalition joined, even though it's meant to be a defensive alliance.

Why Machine First Now?

Been seeing a lot of recent comments, rumours & leaks about the Machine releasing before the Frame, but I don't understand why.

I recall seeing somewhere that the Frame's hardware requirements is less than the Machine, so the Frame was going to be released first. So why now are there rumours/leaks/comments of the Machine releasing first?

Is this an effect of hopium or a rumour train with broken brakes?

Help me understand this

The "Garrison Division" template is what I'm using to garrison occupied territory, as can be seen.

When I add battalions or support to the "Garrison Division" template, like the MP support & a fourth inf. battalion, it increased my available ponypower. It takes equipment as well, but seems to give back ponypower. How & why?

4600 hrs & I still don't know everything, anyone know why this is?

Anyone else think 300 to crew 12 artillery is a little too many?

I'm no military genius or expert, but I'm pretty sure WW2 artillery crews numbered between 6-12. 300 to crew 12 cannons is about 25 crew per cannon. So either these cannons are as big as Celestia's backside or the crews work in shifts.

Besides that, for the Regimental Support guns, 180 for 4 artillery is definitely too many. That's 45 per gun.

Am I really the only one who thinks these crew numbers are unrealistic in this totally realistic pony war game?

Stalliongrad goes to war against Nova Griffonia despite NG's Civil War being over

I can't tell if this is a bug or not, I know from the latest update that Stalliongrad joins the NG CW after 9 months. It went on for 10 & they didn't join.

Feels a little unfair to attack after they've won the CW.

This a bug or working as intended?

VR Checklist

Hey all,

Sorry this post doesn't contain any new information about the beloved Frame, but I'm in need of assistance.

Currently writing up a checklist of what else I'll need besides the Frame to play VR.
So far, I have:
- Thick soft rug or mat to stand on
- Rechargeable batteries for the controllers

That's all, just those two.
Is there anything else any of you experienced VR players feel is missing or needs to be added?

Thanks!

Edit: Thank you everyone for your replies & advice, I hope this post helps others who're unsure about what else to get besides the Frame.

Any other EaW character gone through 3 or more portrait changes?

Steam Frame Affected By Regional Pricing?

For a while now, I've held the thought that the Frame will be affected by Steam / Valve's regional pricing. $800USD, for example, would be roughly £600GBP, but I don't actually know if this is true or something I've deluded myself into thinking.

So, will regional pricing affect or apply to the Frame, or will its price be similar or equal everywhere? Thanks.

Anyone think Valve should have their own hardware manufacturing company?

If the main issue for the Frame is cost of hardware, specifically RAM, then why not use some of their billion dollar net worth & buy a hardware manufacturer who only provides for Valve & no one else?

EaW 10 Year HOI4 Celebration?

I know EaW isn't 10 years old, not for another year (holy shit, this came out with only Equus 1 year & 1 month after HOI4 was released, way to go devs from 9 years ago!), but HOI4 will be 10 yrs old next Saturday!

Do the devs plan on celebrating this in anyway?
