Recently modified my K-917 to give her an imitation streamlining that she would’ve worn from 1944-1951
I was running some model trains that use water to make steam, so I use scraps of tissues to ensure it doesn’t spill into the electronics. Afterwards, I left them by the side of the track, but miraculously after about half an hour later when I was packing up, I noticed they were gone. I found them between the rails. What caused this to happen? Was it the train or just regular wind?
I (F18) was talking to a guy about peircings and stuff, when he told me he finds young girls attractive and other stuff like that. I told him it was weird, before blocking him and reporting the chat, but I’ve just received a notification saying I’m banned from sending or receiving messages due to inappropriate chat content? How can I appeal this?
Finished designing my Lego Kingston flyer. The engine is a NZR Ab pacific running off power functions, and designed to incorporate a mould king steam generator. The carriage are all unique, and they are based off the 4 carriages used by the current day flyer. All doors open, all connecting gangways are properly articulated, and they also help secure the couplings. LMK if you guys have any ways I can improve!
I was filming a steam train earlier today, and I just got home and realised that my hands and face are covered in tiny black dots (face is about twice as bad as hands, but no pic for privacy). It was belching a lot of smoke, but it didn’t hit me directly. Any idea what it is, and how to get these tiny black dots off? Soap and body wash not working.
8 studs wide. 77 studs long. Fully articulated. Remote control. This was probably my most ambitious project yet, but after many long nights, it’s finally done. She’s powered by a pair of large powered up motors, and can pull an estimated 5kg rolling load up a 3% grade on her own. Still can’t believe I was able to pull this off
I’ve noticed that when my trains are running, they’re shaking and dancing a lot. K-917 (lead engine) doesn’t have too much of a problem, but I’ve noticed that J-1234 (back engine) dances like an 0-4-0 going for a speed record, and some of my 56 footers (passenger cars) are also wobbling from side to side a bit. Is there any reason this is happening and/or any way I can fix this, or is it just something I need to deal with.
Edit: the elevated and unballasted track is not responsible for the shaking of the engine. I tested it again and whilst it’s what caused my carriages to wobble, j-1234 was shaking even worse on ballasted track.
I remember being told a code that gives free delivery costs to Massey students, but I can’t remember it. Anyone know it?
Anyone know a good 3 wide dome design that I could use for my NZR E-66?

I noticed when I was researching the NZ remutaka incline that Ab pacifics double headed with the rear engine in reverse when bringing trains to and from the bottom and summit of the incline, before special locomotives took over for the incline itself. Why did they do this? Did it happen in other places in the world? Why do this instead of both engines forward? This matter has left me very confused and I hope you guys can help.
Edit: I found the answer for this specific circumstance. Apparently the turntable was out of use and they had no way to turn around the returning engines. Still keen to know if this was common place elsewhere though!
For no apparent reason, J-1234, the back engine in a double header with K-917, dove off the table on a straight as it was racing through my Lego Paekākāriki station. Obviously I haven’t done a good job teaching her proper technique, as the results speak for themselves. Thankfully, she was back in service an hour later.

The shortened funnel is to allow for the incorporation of a mould king steam generator as done in all but one of my other steam locomotives. She uses power functions to run. I intend to build her sometime in the next three months.
