Rock creek park Saturday morning

I’m visiting my kids in DC this weekend but have a 18 mile long run in preparation for NY marathon. Planning on going to Rock Creek park early Saturday morning (around 7am) to get it done. Is this safe for a female, alone? I imagine there will be many runners out at this time, correct? Thanks!!

Marathon parade/opening ceremonies

I have an opportunity to participate in this but debating, as it seems like a lot of energy/time on feet right before the marathon. Thoughts? I’ve never participated or spectated so not sure the vibe

Voice prompts for Mile splits

I have premium training peaks. My coach programs my workouts to training peaks which then uploads to my Apple Watch Ultra. I then start my run from my watch. I have voice prompts during my run that reads out any intervals, pace targets, etc but not mile splits. I have to look down at my watch to see my distance. Any fix for that?

Free vs.paid

I work with a 1:1 coach for marathon training. I’ve just been using the free version (he can see all my stats as a coach), but considering upgrading to premium. Worth it? I get stats through Strava and training peaks is synced with my Apple Watch but I feel like I’m missing out on data. Strava never seems to be accurate. Thoughts?

Dynafish xiaonian sizing

I’m looking at sizing and would love some real life advice. I’m typically a women’s 7.5 but have wide feet with bunions so sometimes get the men’s version of a shoe (I do this with the Evo SL’s). For the xiaonian they don’t do half sizes in that range so need to decide between Eur 39 or 40. I know they say it’s a wide shoe in general so not sure. Thoughts?

Shoe similar to Evo SL

I’m on my 3rd pair of Evo’s and for some reason I’m not loving them as much anymore. Looking for ideas for a lighter, “faster” shoe for mediocre runners like me :) I’m training for NYC marathon, ran it last year (1st marathon) in the Evo’s but want to change it up. I’m on the slower side so no need for a plate (around 10min/mile.)I like a lower drop shoe (6mm or less) and I have wide feet :) higher drops tend to cause more aches and pains for me and as I’m on the older side (50’s,F) I’m constantly focused on injury prevention. For long runs I’ve been wearing MTC C1’s and loving them! Thanks!

Virtual Brooklyn half credits

Anyone know when they typically show in your account? I did the actual race and see the 9+1 credit but not the virtual credit yet for 4/6 (I registered for both- it’s allowed!)

Im volunteering at the BK 5K on Tuesday and need to drive in from work in westchester. Id like to go on spot hero and reserve a garage as timing will be tight and I dont want to be late for my shift. Any parking garages people like? The area I need to get to in the park is neathermead.

I have the ultra 3. Is it true that if I use apple fitness for my runs I can only get prompts for mile splits if I do a basic “outdoor run”? I have so many custom runs set up for marathon training and its so frustrating. Seems like a big missing piece for runners. Any work around? Otherwise i love the watch :)
