BLS with minor in history vs History BA, which is better for master programs?

Hi all, I plan to start using Sophia learning to complete 90 credits and then move on to UMPI to complete the remaining 30. I plan to apply to different master programs in History across the country but mainly in Georgia.

My main dilemma is which has a better chance of getting into programs. I’m aware history ba has a lot more writing than the BLS which I do not mind actually. I also know the BLS is quicker to finish. However, I don’t know if BLS is strong enough for some colleges. For most, they do not require a specific undergraduate degree, which is also contributing to the dilemma.

Has anyone here completed their history BA or have done a BLS with a history minor? Has anyone been accepted into any history master programs?

Thank you guys for your time!

Hi all. I used to make music under a stage name for around a couple of years before I decided to take break. It has been a two year break. I want to get back in but I have no idea how.

Because I posted under a stage name and never showed my face or anything, I have no idea how to start releasing music again and his time with strategy. I would just randomly release whenever I wanted to but this time I want to release and take this seriously.

I’ve been trying to study other musicians to see their rollout.

Right now, I use GarageBand as my main source of producing as I don’t have a computer for any other advanced DAWs, and it has been good to me so far.

What are some things I can do to improve my craft this time around and be more serious about my work?

Hi everyone. My family and I are looking to sell our family home, but we have some major issues with the house and would like advice on how to go about this.

So, the house is around 40 years old. My grandmother originally bought it. Growing up, my family has always been poor. My grandmother made decent money but wasn’t a good spender. Due to this, the house has racked up in numerous issues. However, she was able to pay the house off. My grandmother passed away a few years ago and we basically had been squatting in it. My mother paid property taxes on it and now she is a co-owner, so we are finally able to sell the home.

Now, the issues are- we have some water damage. The pipes are mostly working, except for the kitchen sink. Every other pipe is good. Some of the walls have water damage. We do have some electrical issues with some of our outlets not working.

However, our major issue is that we have a German roach infestation. Which is something hard to admit. I know the question is, “why on earth would you stay in a roach infested house?” It was between that or homelessness, honestly. My grandmother died when my sibling and I were still minors and my mother was mentally unstable. Now, we are all doing better. We are all making maybe a combined income of 75k a year. Which isn’t horrible for the area I live in.

Now, our next decision is selling our home. We have never done this before. We don’t know the process or anything. We want to at least do some patchwork and cleaning before we sell. Hopefully, mitigate the roach problem.

FWIW, our home is worth around 300k. I’m not entirely sure what renovation cost would entail. We don’t obviously expect 300k handed to us or anything. We’re hoping for maybe around 100k-150k. We don’t think repairs would be 2/3 of the cost but maybe half of it? I’ve thought about reaching out to one of those “we buy homes in any condition.”, but I would like advice before I do.

Also, I’ve heard about curb appeal- we have a damaged shed on the property with no door and broken windows. Do we try to get rid of this or focus on everything else? Our gutters need to be cleaned. We have a bunch of wood in the yard and we would need to just do a lot of cleaning. I think my mother would be able to get a dumpster out here.

If anyone has any questions about the repairs, please ask. I would like advice on how to approach this in the best way possible.

Hi all, I have this concept I want to make about a fake disappearance case from the 90s. I plan on using the internet to promote it by posting on social media sites, primarily Reddit. I want to even it with footage/short film that I make to go alongside it.

I just want to know about any legal issues before I can do it. Primarily when it comes to making fake news articles, my case is about a missing child and I would like to know if it would be better to use a picture of myself as a child or maybe a photo of a child actor? This is my main concern with the project.

Also, I would like to know anyone has done such concept before and how you went about it? I would like to make it as realistic as possible but without causing concern to unsuspecting people.

Thanks in advanced for any advice and if anyone wants me to further clarify anything, just let me know!
