Ragging formats in HBTU, egoistic seniors and management.

Is college ke to kutte bhi ego se bhare hue honge.

Randi college, randi seniors, randi administration. Ma chudwa lo tum, naukari tum seniors ke pass hai nahi aur ham juniors ko help karoge. Ye college hi chor raha hu apni admission bhi vapis le raha hu. Isse accha to kisi dusre college me chala jaunga. Abhi bhi time hai seniors thori aukaat me reh lo varna kisi din aisa thapede jayoge na abhi media me ye baat faili nahi hai, majboori mat karo ye karne ke liye.

Safety advice for all freshers.

I’m a 4th-year student, and I’m saying this from the experience I’ve built over the years studying here.

If you study at GEU or GEHU Dehradun, please be extremely careful on the roads. The traffic around the college is poorly managed, roads are full of potholes, animals frequently wander onto the streets, and a little rain is enough to turn the entire 4 Khamba Road into a waterlogged mess.

I remember in 2024 december there were around 9 students who died by accident in dehradun near the college and mussorie, 5 of them died by drunk driving rest were innocent students walking on the street. This is no joke.

What makes things worse is that a large number of people driving around the college are students themselves. Some are inexperienced, some don’t even have a valid licence, and many drive in groups, race each other, or behave recklessly without thinking about the consequences.

Every year, students and other people lose their lives in road accidents across Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishikesh, whether because of drunk or reckless driving, speeding, or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The recent death of a first-year fresher is yet another heartbreaking reminder of how quickly things can go wrong.

Please don't take roads lightly. You might be a good driver, but you cannot control the idiot driving next to you.

There are people who will push their vehicles to 100+ km/h just to shoot a reel or show off, without giving a second thought to the lives they are putting at risk.

No reel, no race, no ego trip is worth someone's life.

Please slow down. Stay alert. Wear a helmet. Don't drink and drive. And most importantly, don't assume everyone else on the road knows what they're doing. Even if you are just walking on the street be very alert some thar drivers are just a meanance to the society (no offense).

You have a lot more to live for than reaching your destination two minutes earlier. There is absolutely no issue if you are late for a class just tell the teacher that you were being cautious while walking on the road due to the recent ongoing accidents they won't scold you.

If such kind of events keep taking place the police is going to issue a curfew during near the college at night.
