How do I move out of dms into texting while keeping my information private?

So I’ve been talking to this guy online for almost a month now and I feel like we really get along but I still want to keep my personal information safe. He doesn’t live in the same state as me so I don’t really want to give him my phone number yet because I hear that it’s very easy to trace things like my address. At this point, I’m sure of who he is but I still want to be cautious because you never really know anyone’s real intentions.

How can I make my character morally grey while still being sympathetic?

So I’m writing a story where my character is in purgatory gradually remembers things from their life and I want there to be a moment where their whole perception of themselves flips after they remember something really horrible they did. I still want the reader to be able to sympathize with them though so I don’t want it to be anything too horrible. I’m thinking of having the character learn to see the value of life through other people they interact with so maybe their past can tie into that but I’m pretty lost so any help is appreciated.

What can I do to make my criminal justice and criminology degree more valuable?

The college I go to doesn’t have a pre law or law studies degree so I’m hoping to do minor or certificate programs to fill in the gaps and give me something to fall back on. Is a chemistry minor worth investing in? I’m not sure if I could get something entry level in forensic science with it or if I should do something entirely different. To be clear, forensic science isn’t my end goal. I was always aiming towards an attorney position but I want to be able to have something else just for insurance. I initially chose this degree because I want to start off as a paralegal to gain experience and move onto something else when I’m ready. Now I’m just kinda worried if it doesn’t pan out how I want. I really need advice.

I feel guilty for not being more upset today

My cat had to be put down yesterday. It was so sudden and I couldn’t believe it was real. It still feels wrong, like he’s going to come home one day. I didn’t cry much today though. I did my best to block any thought of him from my mind with social media and movies. Later, I talked to my family about him and looked at pictures before watching another movie with them. I just wasn’t sad at all in that moment and it really bothered me. I can’t believe I’m acting like this after a single day. How would he feel to know that I’m fine without him? Am I really that heartless? I hate myself for being happy so soon.

Could antibiotics have helped?

My cat had to be put down recently due to his condition from HGE. The vet started with IV fluids but he didn’t get to a point where he was eating again and was still very lethargic. They kept going with IV fluids where he wasn’t improving until two days later when they told me his condition was very unstable and that he would be started on antibiotics but he likely wouldn’t make it through the night. I made the decision to put him down soon after but I can’t help but feel that maybe if I gave him a bit more time the antibiotics would have helped eventually.

How do I get over my cat’s passing?

My cat Bailey had to be put down today. I never thought this would happen or that I would have to make a decision like this so soon. He was only 4 and everything just happened so suddenly. I miss him so much and even though it’s so stupid to say, he was barely a pet to me. He felt more like a younger sibling. He always greeted me when I came home and looked at me like I’m worth something. He loved me unconditionally and I got him euthanized because I couldn’t figure out why he was sick in time. It’s so empty and quiet now. I can’t even eat because he would’ve sat across from me at the table. I can’t watch tv because he would’ve followed me and sat on the couch with me. It always irritated me how loud he could be but I would give anything to hear him again.
