Difference between mono and braid?

I know the obvious difference is braid is well... braided, thinner and stronger, but is there any downsides?

I was thinking of swapping over to braid but id like to know if there's any reason to keep using mono

How do i handle carp?

https://preview.redd.it/dqqjl8fn8lbh1.png?width=331&format=png&auto=webp&s=05f34ce62c6fc086e767324224fc590d551345a1

Hello all,

I have recently begun fishing like a week or so ago and i have been going to an angling lake local to me,

I have caught a few carp (Mirror carp and common carp) , but every time i pick the fish up for a photo it freaks out and jumps out my hands back into the lake, is there a correct way to handle fish to prevent this from happening, I tend to hold them with both hands on the bottom of the fish one near the tail and one near the head (if that makes sense)?

I'm just worried in case they flip out and miss the water and hurt themselves,

Any help would be appreciated

Breeding AFT geckos

Hi,

I recently thought about breeding aft geckos as there's not many for sale in the uk ever really,

I am not only considering doing this for the money, I absolutely love reptiles & caring for them, I may even keep a couple for myself! (I'm not going to be one of those breeders which throw all their animals in a rack, I think thats kind of horrible),

I am willing to put a lot of money into this to ensure proper care of the animals

I was going to get 2-3 large stacks of vivarium's (these for example)

I do own a leopard gecko and i have heard the care is very similar (except slightly higher humidity etc)

(Obviously I will do thorough research on aft's before even getting one as a pet as I want to do everything right for them.)

Is there anything that I should take into consideration (from a breeding perspective) before I go ahead with the idea?

Thankful for any replies :)

Leopard gecko refusing to eat from tongs

Hi, I have a leopard gecko that has just stopped eating from tongs, the only way I can get him to eat is by leaving some locusts in his enclosure and watching him catch them on the camera I have fitted in there, he is around 11 months old, I've had him since he was around 4 months, I've never had any issues feeding him ever, I've checked temperatures etc to see if it was maybe a temp thing, is this just a personality trait he has developed or can anyone give me any tips on what to do?

Thanks,

▲ 5 r/lua

Hi, I wanted to get started with lua. But every learning tool I've found online is trying to charge £120 a year... I'm interested in learning lua to create games on roblox, I have seen people promoting a book that has all the info a beginner needs but I feel like I don't learn the best from reading. I prefer something a bit more hands on, what is the best option for me?

Thanks,
