I've completed my first year in college, set to be a mechanical engineer. I've been considering doing AI as a minor, but I've heard from some people that employers don't really care about minors. What do you guys think? Tell me about your experiences if you don't mind.

Freshman here. Highschool was incredibly easy, used to study the exam’s night and still get a full mark. Whereas now I have to study weeks before a midterm and even more for a final in hopes of a good mark. Shock is not enough of a word to describe the transition I experienced between highschool and these last 2 semesters I’ve had. And the more depressing part is knowing that the following years will be by far even more stressful. Sometimes I try to cope by saying if it was easy not everyone would be doing it. There are many things I feel uncomfortable about here in college, the lack of socializing for instance compared to school times, but I don’t really care about that as much as the academic stress. Rn I’m almost done with the midterms, I haven’t been resting well or interacting with people as much, and then the finals begin only 2 weeks afterwards. Got no other choice but to keep pushing I guess.
