Have you guys ever made yourself and tried to make ''your ideal life for the future'' in The Sims?

I started playing with this sim, inside a small flat (the one i shared here) https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2/comments/1vl022j/so_this_is_why_small_rooms_are_not_a_good_idea/

Then i moved him to a tiny house i built, it was a very basic tiny home. And then i got him married, then they had a daughter, now a teen.

And now the house looks like this, i am an architect in real life, now this sim is at level 10 of the architecture career, and i had this idea of seeling layouts (yeah, thats not how it works in real life, obviously, you don't buy random layouts of buildings, but this is the closest thing i can do with this in open for business) and the daughter is working as the cashier, i am planning to move her to university, and she is already in private school.

---

In real life, in the future, i'm satisfied with a house like this, i am someone who doesn't need a big mansion or a thick wallet, i don't see a point in it. Why having a huge mansion that will separate you from your family, that forces you to walk and walk from one side to the other? as long as i can live in a tiny house like this, with my future family, i will feel like i did everything in life.

Also, in case you wonder: no, i don't have a problem IRL. I am a happy man, but i am still in my 20s, things are a bit complicated so i am not working right now as an architect, but i know this will change when the country i live in settles a bit. I am doing stuff at home, and i am searching for a job every single day. My parents are with me, and i know i will do the right thing when its my turn.

Did you know Sims 2 templates are based on real life people around the world?

In case you didn't know this, The Sims 2 based its templates on real life people.

Sure, not every single person from the same place will look the same, or the exact same way, its just an approach.

Most of the pics are taken from Marticore's video, others have been taken by me (i apologize for the bright glitch i have in CAS). Real life pics are taken straight from free pics websites, istock and others.

This video is based both on an old post, and Marticore's video, the queen of sims 2 templates.

Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2/comments/1cvauxk/question_about_default_maxis_face_templates/
Marticore´s video: https://youtu.be/kMd7JaPURYM

Some notes: some of this are not 100% sure to be from the specific place mentioned in the images, just speculations.

Yes, some of these templates are fictional like the elf one, or highly based on one specific tribe or ancient civilization.

So this is why small rooms are not a good idea.

(I forgot to mention that this is a recreation, buy and build mode were blocked when it happened)

i was playing some kind of ''rags to riches'' game, and i say some kind of cuz all i did was starting with only 2.000 simoleons, and i move my sim to this small apartment i made, a very small one.

This burglar appeared, stolen my chess table, police arrived, they fought inside the bathroom, officer was able to leave, but the burglar got stuck inside the bathroom cuz the chess table wasn't there anymore, so the chair moved on its own cuz it disconnected from the chess table, and now we are both stuck inside the bathroom.

I used testincheats to delete the burglar, i am sorry, i won't count this as cheating, deal with it XD.

Burglars in this game are barely common, according to the wiki theres a 5% chance of getting one, and it has some conditions to do so.

Anyway, out of all the mansions i played in this game, the many times i stayed in goth's mansion, and other rich families, and this woman wants to steal a guy living in a tiny house, but ok.

Como asegurar una victoria en el programa ''Es mi Sueño''

Un meme que hice que no necesita explicación, creo yo.

Cualquier cosa me preguntan.

Public School in Beaux-Arts style.

I tried to recreate a way too different architectural style that The Sims 2 could offer.

This is part of my argentinian neighborhood.

A community lot that tries to represent a school, based on schools you could find in some areas of Buenos Aires Capital.

What happens when multiple sims are friends with the same member of a family bin?

I have a family living in belladona cove, one of them works with that mustache guy from the otomas family.

I have another family living in riverblossom hills, and they also have mustache man working with them.

And then i have yet another family living in downtown in strangetown that also works with this dude

My question is, what happens if i put the ottomas family in a neighborhood? Does the game keep duplicates for each neighborhood? What happens with those relationships made in other neighborhoods? Just the $subject thing and thats it? Do i lose them? Why am i making so many questions?!

I discovered Windows Defender causes the spinning bug.

I don't know if this ever happened to any of you, but for some reason, if windows defender reacts to the game's starter, you can still play it, but all the sims will be spinning in place. And it crashes every single time you go back to neighborhood view.

Why windows defender activated? I think its because i opened the EA trashy app, while i was having a power outage, onedrive had its settings on at the moment i opened the game, for some reason, i never use that thing.

Luckily i just had to allow the game to run without defender reacting to it, and the game got fixed.

What a weird way to '''''''''''''''''''corrupt''''''''''''''''''' your game.

Speaking of which, what a curious bug, sims' icons don't appear, sims don't react at your commands. Testing cheats didn't fix the issue.

Btw this is the family i was playing as when the glitch happened:

I started playing with the elf guy and the female plant sim, he is called Alfredo, he created those two robots, servo and serva. His wife altamira, she is the farmer; their son (now an adult) Alejandro. And i recently joined the Yeti, btw his name is Zacarias, its his default name of course. I genuely tought the game did not accept such a weird family lol.

Keep working on my South american (Argentina-based) neighborhood. Part 3

I been doing some low-middle class houses, based on some generic argentinian houses for low-middle class families.

If you have some doubts on why some places look the way they look, just ask me. I had to be creative to represent some stuff.

Next i will be working on low class houses, and then middle class houses.

As people who like The Sims 2 the most...what you think about the others?

Specially asking about Sims 4.

I love The Sims 1, not only because of nostalgia but because its a great game on its own, it feels so different than the other mainline games, and its logical cuz it was the first one, it has its own "aura" like kids say these days. I put both 1 and 2 at the same level

As for The Sims 3, i don't like it as much as 1 and 2, idk why, but i love the open world concept, easily the best thing it has. And the one that offers the most, i like that, it shows a real evolution, but sometimes more doesn't mean better.

And then we have The Sims 4, i tried playing it many times, but i always end up uninstalling it, despite the improvenents the base game had over the years, EA sadly affected this franchise when it shown its true colors (not saying they weren't like this before, but they weren't that apparent).

Let me be clear, i don't think sims 4 is a bad game, but in comparison i think is worse than 2 and 3, not counting 1 cuz it was the first one. Sims 4 has its own things, but they are less than in previous games, and that also includes that you have to pay (or pirate) for many packs to get the same experience older games offer in one.

If The Sims 5 becomes a thing, i hope another company takes the job, or just wait for paralives or inzoi to be fully released.

Life stages have small technical disadvantages compared to Adults

What i mean with this?

I am talking about small technical details that life stages have in comparison to Adult sims.

Yes, of course adulthood is supposed to be the main life stage that allows you to do basicaly everything, but just because this is the case, doesn't mean other lfie stages should be considered as ''less'', specialy elders cuz then can keep going with their lifes and keep doing the things they like until they die.

But this is related to technical aspects, like animations, voices, etc.

And i know someone could find ''questionable'' to talk about how sim kids should look, but thats how the game is, i hope i am not the only one.

Am i the only one who doesn't like neighbors not aging?

Yes, i know there must be a lot of reasons why this happens (or doesn't happen XD), but you know how the deal is.

You have to go from one house to the other, you are forced into playing families you don't care about, or don't like playing as.

If you want to use cheats you are gonna mismatch the aging too, etc.

Pre made sims got relatives inside the family bin, so if you don't know that you are gonna have cases like, for example, mary-sue's parents still living even after their grandchildrens are old.

Townies are also an issue with this, cuz they will always stay the same unless you force them to grow up with your sims.

I also believe that the gameplay loop feels kinda boring if you are forced into playing with so many families. This is the reason why i do my best to get as less families as possible, and to avoid having them so many kids.

Things The Sims 2 on console did better than The Sims 2 on PC (IMO)

Yeah, sims 2 on console is much worse as a game, of course it is, but it has some things here i there i'd like them to be on the pc version, sadly they have never been officialy in it.

Oh yeah i forgot about that, the food ingredients, to create unique foods with different effects. That was cool

Marplatense house style + Small Casona (For my latin american-argentina based neighborhood) Part 2

First a marplatense style house, which is based on classic marplatense houses, popular for vacation cities back in 1930 to 1950, now most of them are just a memory or re-used for people to live there, placed, of course, on mar del plata, argentina. But they are EVERYWHERE in this country. I love the style, i did my best to re-create it with the stuff this game (a highly based on america game)

I will do more? Yes, of course i will.

Is it safe to move the mailbox with move objects in case i want to share the house? Cuz we don't have those highly american mailboxes, let alone in front of the house, i mean hide it behind the entrance.

The Sims 2 ALL aspirations.

I think this pic shows every single aspiration that exists in the sims 2 era.

But what do you guys think about the console exclusive ones?

Which one you think it could work on the PC version if it was a thing?

I think creativity could work

Fat Sims 2 sims logic

Not only they aren't truly fat, they just get plump, but i feel a disadvantage with male sims.

It's funny to me how male sims get the ''drunk guy'' belly, but female sims barely get a belly, and the fat goes to *other* areas.
