28 [M4F] let’s skip the small talk (or don’t)

Sometimes I just miss having genuine conversations with people. Not necessarily flirting, not necessarily deep life talks either — just talking. Could be about your day, your hobbies, weird thoughts at 2AM, relationships, music, life plans, heartbreaks, random observations, or even why you suddenly remembered an embarrassing moment from 8 years ago while showering.

A little about me:

\\\* 5'11"

\\\* skinny/tall build

\\\* introvert

\\\* doesn’t drink or smoke

\\\* into music and guitar, traveling

\\\* usually quiet

\\\* café hopping

I think what I miss most is the feeling of slowly getting familiar with someone. The kind where conversations start simple then somehow end up becoming unexpectedly personal.

Icebreaker question:

What’s something about you that you want people notice?

28 [M4F] Looking for genuine friends and random conversations

Hey. Trying this again because meeting people as an adult feels weirdly difficult sometimes

I’m 28, introverted, skinny/tall (5’11) yung taba ko pa-ganon ⬆️ hindi paganon ⬅️➡️, employed, doesn’t drink or smoke, and I work in tech. Most days are just work, coffee, music, guitar practice, thinking about my future and life in general until I fall asleep. I've met a lot of people from Reddit na but most of them are one time lang so hir ay em.

Lately I’ve been wanting more genuine connections — not romantic, just people to talk to consistently. Could be about life, relationships, hobbies, existential crises, dumb memes, childhood stories, or whatever’s been on your mind lately.

I’ve honestly thought about randomly talking to people at coffee shops, concerts, or even baristas at cafés, but I always stop myself because I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable or come off weird.

Some things I’m into:

Music / guitar

Coffee shops

Long walks and people-watching

Random conversations

Photography (trying to get into it)

Tech

Quiet places over loud parties

Hiking (so so)

Traveling (Overseas)

Movies

I'm from Manila so it'd be nice if you're nearby. Pwede tayong mag-coffee! (kung gusto mo lang ofc)

What's something about you that you want people to notice?

28 [M4F] I Promise I’m Better in Person Than in Text (Debatable)

I think I’ve reached a point where I miss real-life connection more than endless online conversations.

Chatting is nice, but I miss sitting across from someone in a café, hearing their actual laugh, noticing small reactions, talking while walking somewhere with no real destination, or just existing in the same space without needing everything to be entertaining all the time.

Sometimes it’s not even about having something specific to talk about — it’s just that quiet feeling of wanting someone’s company. Even if we’re just sitting there, sharing silence, or talking about completely random things that don’t really matter. I kind of miss that.

That’s the kind of friendship I’m hoping to find. Something comfortable and genuine.

About me:

28, introverted, skinny/tall (5’11), employed, works in tech, doesn’t drink or smoke. Most days are usually work, coffee, music, guitar practice, traveling, photography, and thinking a little too much about life and the future.

Also, just being upfront — if you’re mainly looking for a super handsome guy you might eventually want to date, that’s probably not me. Physical appearance has never really been my strongest point. I think the better parts of me show up more through conversations, consistency, humor, shared moments, and just being someone safe and easy to be around.

Would genuinely love to meet people who want actual friendship outside of the internet. Cafés, concerts, food trips, random walks, errands, quiet tambay sessions — anything simple, honestly.

Icebreaker:

What’s your ideal setup when meeting someone for the first time?

What’s something you thought would matter a lot by now, but doesn’t anymore?

What’s a random memory that still makes you laugh?

What’s your go-to comfort movie/show/song when life feels heavy?

What’s something you appreciate more as you get older?

What’s a place you could sit in for hours without getting bored?

What’s a topic you could accidentally talk about for hours?

What’s something you want more of in your life lately?

What’s the most unexpectedly wholesome interaction you’ve had with a stranger?

28 [M4F] Maybe we’re both just looking for people we can actually talk to

I think one of the weirdest parts of adulthood is realizing how hard it is to make new friends outside of work.

I’m 28 from Manila. Introverted, skinny/tall (5’11), employed, works in tech, doesn’t drink or smoke. Most of my days are pretty quiet — coffee, work, music, guitar practice, random walks, overthinking, and occasionally convincing myself I should talk to strangers more often lol.

I’ve met people from Reddit before, but a lot of conversations fade after a day or two. I guess I’m looking for something more genuine and consistent this time around.

Some things I enjoy:

* Coffee shops

* Music & guitar

* Movies

* Photography (still learning)

* Quiet places

* Long walks

* Traveling

* Tech stuff

* Conversations that randomly become deep at 2am

Sometimes I think about talking to people beside me at cafés or concerts, but I always end up overthinking if I’m bothering them, so here I am instead.

Would be nice to meet people around Manila too. We can talk online first or grab coffee eventually if we enjoy talking

Random questions because “hi hello kumain ka na ba” feels too difficult sometimes:

* What’s a phase in your life you miss sometimes?

* What’s something you wish people talked about more honestly?

28 [M4F] looking for new friends and good conversations

Trying to meet more people and have more genuine conversations outside of work and daily routines. I enjoy talking about music, hobbies, travel, random observations, life experiences, or even small everyday things people usually don’t get to share.

A little about me:

* 5'11"

* skinny/tall build

* introvert

* doesn’t drink or smoke

* into music, guitar, and traveling

Would be nice to have people to chat with from time to time over coffee, dinner, or just casual hangouts.

Icebreaker question:

What’s something you’ve been thinking about a lot lately?

28 [M4F] maybe we’d get along maybe not who knows

Went to my very first concert a few days ago (Playback Music Festival) and now I kinda understand why people love live music so much. The atmosphere was crazy.

One thing I’ve been realizing lately is that I actually want to connect with people more. Sometimes I want to talk to the barista making my coffee or the person next to me at a concert, but I always end up holding back because I don’t want to seem weird or intrusive. I guess I’m still figuring that part out.

I travel from time to time whenever I feel like I have to get away. Japan is still my favorite place I’ve visited. Also been to Hong Kong, Thailand, and Cebu where I got to see Kawasan Falls, Moalboal, Oslob, and try whale diving.

I play guitar and spend a lot of time listening to music. Honestly, music says the things I can’t always explain properly.

When I’m stressed, I usually go for walks or jogs just to clear my mind.

I appreciate people who can keep conversations natural and easygoing. No pressure to impress each other.

Feel free to message me even if we’ve talked before and I wasn’t able to reply right away.

Quick description of me: skinny/tall guy (5’11), introverted, NGSB, employed, and I don’t drink or smoke. More of a quiet coffee shop or late night walk type of person.

28 [M4F] maybe we’d get along maybe not who knows

Hi! I am looking for new people to become friends with. I prefer hanging out to calls and chatting! I'm open to join groups as well. Travel, tambay, count me in!

about me:

28, 5'11, introvert, working, I don't drink, I don't smoke, single

I am very into music and guitar. Medyo LSS ako now sa Mahika ni TJ Monterde haha

I love traveling. I've been to Cebu, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Japan. I enjoy outdoor and extreme activities sa Cebu pero more on chill, strolling and taking pictures of places talaga ako. Tikim tikim din ng food kung saan man mapunta. If you'll ask me kung anong favorite chinese food ko, sasagutin kita ng siomai.

I love movies about life, love, relationships, romcom, or anything I find interesting. Before trilogy, Her, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 500 days of summer, 50 first dates, prisoners, dami pa.

I love romanticizing road trips, city lights. Usually hindi mo ako makakausap kasi naka-earphones ako. But don't get me wrong, I love having conversations lalo na kapag interested ako sa iyo. I ask a lot of questions pero minsan I just listen din. Depende talaga.

I try to push myself to run every now and then lalo na kapag may iniisip. Helps me clear my mind.

I'm not that maligalig type of person but I guess it depends on the chemistry. I almost forgot the most important thing, I love iced coffee.

I’m getting close to my 30s, and I’ve lived a life that, on paper, looks disciplined and steady. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke. I carry responsibility as a breadwinner. I’ve done what I needed to do, stayed focused, stayed grounded.

But there’s a quieter side to me that doesn’t show up in those descriptions.

I’ve tried dating before. It never really worked out—most of the time, it ended in experiences I’d rather not relive. And when I do find myself genuinely interested in someone, it’s almost like I already know how it ends. They don’t feel the same. They don’t have to say it—I can feel it in the space between conversations, in the lack of enthusiasm, in the way things don’t quite land the same.

So I learned to ignore it. That part of me that wants something more. I got good at pushing it down, convincing myself I don’t need it.

But the truth is, it’s still there.

There’s a part of me that wants to take care of someone. To show up for her. To play guitar and sing songs just because. To make sure her day starts and ends with a smile. To give, without holding back. I know I have that kind of love in me—I’ve always known.

It just feels strange sometimes, having all of that… and nowhere for it to go.

I thought I had already moved past wanting something like that. But lately, I’ve been reminded that I haven’t. And maybe I never really will.

It’s a quiet kind of ache. Not loud, not dramatic—just there. And sometimes, it sucks knowing you feel this deeply, but can’t really do much about it.
