Team Rocket (anime) Vs. Bus Driver (commercial)

It's kind of sad when a freakin' bus driver is a more credible villain than you. And scary.

What species of dinosaur do you think Plessie is?

Plessie from the Mario series is a dinosaur, but it's never specified what kind he is.

What are your thoughts? I always saw him as some kind of (retro) hadrosaur due to him walking on two legs and being a strong swimmer.

What new Pokémon do you predict/hope to see in Winds/Waves?

As we wait for the games to come, what animals/plants/machines do you predict/hope will be made into new species of Pokémon in Winds and Waves? Realistic or unrealistic, I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

I'd personally love to see a Komodo dragon, an orca, a Normal-type chicken and Fossil Pokémon based on Stegosaurus and hadrosaurs (or raptors).

Tatanga Doodles

Had the motivation to draw Tatanga again. His outfit from the comics also grew on me.

Here's hoping he makes a grand return in the third movie!

Do you prefer the Great Fox firing its lasers in short rapid spurts, or in a continuous stream? (Reupload due to title issue.)

Short rapid spurts: Star Fox 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Star Fox (2026).

Continuous stream: Star Fox Assault, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Subspace Emissary) and Star Fox Zero. (And Star Fox 64 box art)

Personally, I like them best as a continuous stream. Makes them feel more powerful.

Which Klaptrap design do you prefer?

I love how cartoony the SSBU design is, like the DKC games. But I also love all the Bananza design's details.

Favorite jungle animal NPC in Donkey Kong Bananza?

I love all the animal NPCs in this game. Hard to pick just one.

(Hopefully we'll see what the giraffes and lions looked like one day.)

My Pitch For a Donkey Kong Movie

On the shores of the Jungle Kingdom, a colossal ship sails on route to the home of the Kongs. This galleon is owned by the Kremling Krew, sworn enemy of the Kong Army, led by the psychotic dictator, King K. Rool. The tyrant's objective is clear: The Kremlings will enter the Jungle Kingdom in disguise and steal the Kongs' prized hoard of Golden Bananas while they're distracted. Prior to that, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Rosalina, Toad and Yoshi had been captured and imprisoned in the ship's brig, leaving the Kongs with no one to help them, and the Kremlings unopposed to carry out their plan.

Meanwhile, Donkey Kong's pride has declined following his defeat at the hands of Mario, and he spends his days doing good deeds around the kingdom in the hopes of getting back into the good graces of his fellow Kongs. Despite having his father Cranky Kong and his friends Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Chunky Kong for company, the future king cannot get over his humiliating loss.

Touching down on the shores of the Jungle Kingdom, the so-called explorer named "Kommodore K. Rool" and his crew greet the Kongs with open arms, expressing an interest to learn their customs and shower them with gifts from across the seas. Suspicious of the new visitors, Donkey Kong teams up with Diddy, Dixie and Chunky to sneak aboard their boat and see what their true motivation is. They discover through a log book that the Kremlings plan to bomb the village, break into Cranky's palace, steal all the Golden Bananas and wipe out all the kingdoms in the world with a giant laser cannon called the Blast-o-Matic, starting with the Jungle Kingdom. The four attempt to warn the other Kongs and stop the Kremlings, but the Kremlings bomb the village, destroy the kart workshop, storm the palace and escape with the bananas, retreating to their stronghold on Crocodile Isle.

With the Kong Army disabled and the village in ruins, Donkey Kong finds an invitation from K. Rool to meet him in his castle. Seeing an opportunity to be seen as a hero once more, Donkey Kong resolves to follow the Kremlings to Crocodile Isle, with Cranky, Diddy, Dixie and Chunky by his side. Arriving on the dark shores of the island, the five Kongs split up to search for the bananas. The swamp is silent with a creepy whistle in the distance...

Suddenly, the marsh is flooded with lights, revealing a huge amusement park, with Kremlings enjoying the rides, playing carnival games and sharing banana-flavored cotton candy. The park's owner, "Karnival K. Rool", excitedly welcomes the Kongs to Krazy Kremland, eager to unveil their "new mascot" for public display and bring in more customers. Curtains are raised to reveal Mario, Luigi, Peach, Rosalina, Toad and Yoshi stuffed in a giant machine, weak and groaning in pain. The robot, named KAOS, activates, trapping the four inside and facing Donkey Kong. The Kremlings pounce from the ride and games to attack, and the other Kongs show up to help fight them off. Donkey Kong fights KAOS, facing a relentless slue of lasers and boxing glove punches while his friends take on the Kremling forces. Donkey Kong chases KAOS to King K. Rool's keep at the summit of Castle Krematoa.

Once inside, King K. Rool shows Donkey Kong a slideshow of how he tortured Mario and his friends until they weren't even able to move, revealing that they started sharing secrets with him about a certain "smash monkey". K. Rool taunts Donkey Kong over losing to Mario, about how "the poor wittle monkey got an ouchie boo-boo" before roaring with laughter. Donkey Kong flies into a fit of rage and lays into K. Rool with furious punches, with K. Rool retaliating by mauling Donkey Kong and blasting him with blunderbuss. After taunting Donkey Kong one last time with his intent to kill him and his friends in a final act of spite, K. Rool summons KAOS and orders it to kill Donkey Kong, quickly making his escape. As KAOS prepares to deliver the final blow, the robot suddenly begins shorting out and explodes, freeing Mario and the others. After everyone recovers, Donkey Kong and Mario's group return to Crocodile Isle's beach to lick their wounds.

Donkey Kong tells Mario about King K. Rool, how they were enemies since junior high, and how much of a psychopath and a monster he is, with Luigi lamenting almost losing his mind and Peach regretting antagonizing him as much as she did. The Kong Army arrives on the beach, having repaired their weapons and vehicles while Donkey Kong and friends were busy. After getting their bearings, everyone prepares for the final battle against the Kremlings.

Both sides armed to the teeth, the Kongs and Kremlings engage in an intense final struggle; the most destructive food fight the world has ever seen. In the chaos that follows, Donkey Kong, Diddy, Dixie and Chunky fight their way through and sneak their way through K. Rool's castle once more, reaching the throne room. After a moment of silence, alarms blare, and a huge swarm of Kremlings charge at the Kongs. As the Kongs make their way to the top of the tower, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Rosalina, Toad and Yoshi appear with Power-Ups. Mario tells Donkey Kong to get to K. Rool while they hold off the Kremlings. Donkey Kong nods, and the Kongs hurry to the top of the tower as Mario's group fights the advancing Kremling Krew.

On the roof of the castle, Donkey Kong and friends find themselves in a huge boxing ring, littered with stolen treasures, Kremlings in the sands cheering for their king and a huge generator. K. Rool steps into the ring, holding a banana-shaped remote. Promising to watch Donkey Kong and everyone he knows suffer, he pushes a button to activate the Blast-o-Matic, which aims at the Jungle Kingdom and begins to charge. K. Rool declares that first the Jungle Kingdom, then the Mushroom Kingdom, then Brooklyn, and so on, go bye-bye.

Donkey Kong finally faces off against King K. Rool in a one-on-one battle to the death, while Diddy, Dixie and Chunky deal with the Kremlings in the stands. After a brutal clash, Donkey Kong is thrown to the ground, badly injured and unable to get up. As K. Rool prepares to deliver the killing blow with his blunderbuss, Donkey Kong sees a Crystal Coconut among the scattered treasures. He picks it up and transforms, changing into his Kong Bananza form. With his strength renewed, Donkey Kong fights back once more, now able to keep up with K. Rool's strength and speed. Donkey Kong delivers the finishing blow, sending K. Rool flying into the stands. Donkey Kong reverts back to his normal form, having won the fight. Diddy, Dixie and Chunky run up to congratulate Donkey Kong, having fended off the Kremlings in the stands while he was busy. The Kongs begin to leave with the Golden Bananas and stolen treasures, heads held high, and the title of the movie appears. In a suspiciously different color scheme...

Credits roll, but in many words, the letter 'C' is replaced with 'K', and Kremling names are listed as people who worked on the movie. The credits don't last for long, and "The End?" appears onscreen. Fade back to the arena, where K. Rool lays in the stands. Suddenly, K. Rool springs to life, chasing after the Kongs with his propellerpack, firing his blunderbuss like a tommy gun while laughing maniacally. The terrified Kongs struggle to dodge his projectiles, until his aimless shooting causes a spotlight to fall on him. Maddened with rage, K. Rool screams that if he must be defeated, he's taking them all with him. He slams into the generator, destroying it. The castle begins to shake. Donkey Kong and the others hurry out of the castle and onto the beach, where the Kong Army and Mario's group are waiting for them. They board boats and escape back to the Jungle Kingdom, and K. Rool's castle explodes in a massive fireball, engulfing Crocodile Isle in flames.

Back in the Jungle Kingdom, the Golden Bananas are returned to the palace, and Donkey Kong is hailed as a hero, finally regaining the love and respect of his fellow Kongs. Cranky proudly declares that Donkey Kong is now the new king of the Jungle Kingdom, but tells him not to get excited, as that doesn't mean Cranky isn't a king anymore; Donkey Kong just works while Cranky supervises. Donkey Kong and Mario shake hands, acknowledging each other as true friends. With his pride restored, the new king Donkey Kong returns to helping out in the Jungle Kingdom, with his friends Diddy, Dixie and Chunky by his side.

End of film.

In a mid-credits scene, King K. Rool, having survived the explosion, sails on a raft with his three minions, Klump, Krusha and Kopter. He declares to the heavens: "The tale of The Monkey and the Crocodile will never end! There will be future islands! Future bananas to steal!" Before he can finish, sharks attack the raft. K. Rool and his minions paddle away in a panic, sailing into the sunset with the sharks in hot pursuit.

Played the Star Fox demo today

I just tried out the Star Fox demo, and i looks, sounds and controls like a dream. Only one level is playable, but it's still as addictive as ever. I really want to see more of the expanded lore and character interactions.

I also love the way Slippy says "Wowww!" He's such a little geek and I love him.

Is there a way to turn off the conveyor belt in Fungi Forest? Because if you can't, I think I screwed myself out of getting one of Donkey Kong's Golden Bananas...

Does Tatanga's name have an official pronunciation?

Is it supposed to be "Ta-TAHN-ga" or "Ta-TAIN-ga"?

Palutena goes for the first one in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but that's the only time Tatanga's name has been spoken aloud in official Nintendo media to my knowledge.
