Post your Sammy’s fav spot in the house.

This is like his fav spot in the house. Direct line of sight to the kitchen, the snacks, the treats. Snapped a photo of him while I was doing HW.

Sunday Carry.

I wanted to get myself a retirement gift after 20 years of military service. I really wanted a Les Baer since forever but couldn’t find the one I want. Saw this Prime and it was perfect. I usually carry it on Sundays.

I guess I’m finally buying a MoonSwatch.

So for context I always wanted a MoonSwatch. With so much hype in the beginning and I couldn’t get one right away, I just lost interest. The 1969 news came about and I really liked it. I saw you had to apply so I said why not but with only 1969 available. What are the chances. I answered the questions. Joked on a lot of em then went to sleep.

Later on I got an email that I was approved. Pretty psyched. I’m not a reseller so I’ll probably keep it. Glad to finally be able to join the ranks of cool people with MoonSwaches!

I just hope I get #86!

Overhead Airbag ON light doesn’t stay illuminated after dash cam install.

Looking for some advice. We have a 2020 Porsche Macan. I installed a FitcamX dash cam (the one that looks OEM) for my wife using the hardwire kit to the fuse box (I did NOT use the mirror power harness).

During the install I removed the overhead console to route the rear camera cable and the only thing I unplugged was the small connector to the overhead airbag light. I did not disconnect the battery. While testing the installation, I turned the ignition to ACC and later started the vehicle to verify the dash cam was working.

After the install, the red SRS/airbag warning light stayed on while driving. I connected my OBD-II scanner, selected the SRS module, and although it didn’t show any fault codes, I pressed “Clear DTCs.” The red SRS warning light immediately went out and has not come back (I’ll continue to monitor it after driving).

Now I’m trying to verify the passenger airbag indicator behavior.
-Empty passenger seat: PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF illuminates.
-Adult sitting in the passenger seat: PASSENGER AIR BAG ON illuminates.
-After about 1-2 minutes, the ON light turns off completely even though the passenger is still sitting there.

The owner’s manual states that the PASSENGER AIR BAG ON indicator should remain continuously illuminated while the ignition is on/engine is running and an adult is occupying the seat.

Has anyone with a 2019-2021 Macan seen this before?

Is this normal behavior despite what the manual says?

Does your PASSENGER AIR BAG ON light stay illuminated continuously, or does it eventually turn off?

Always looking at me with disappointment.

Never fails. Doesn’t do anything, pay bills or the mortgage but I seem to always do something wrong.

My 40 Jahre

Been a while since I posted here.

A friend offered me a new aero bumper at a price I couldn’t pass up. I’ve always wanted one, so I figured why not. Not long after, a fixed wing came along, and it felt like the aero bumper needed the wing to complete the look.

The wing came off a GT3, so it took some trimming to clear the fan and snorkel. I also picked up a spare harness to modify so I could keep everything working properly. No warning lights, no alarms, and everything functions as it should. Shared a pic of how it looks like under the decklid.

I’m really liking the look so far on my 40 Jahre. The funny thing is, every time I see a clean wingless 996, I start thinking about going back. Good thing the original decklid is hanging in the garage. I’ll probably end up putting the Turbo bumper back on at some point too, just with a Turbo lip this time.

For now, though, I’m enjoying the GT3-inspired look.

Excited, Grateful, and now a little Overwhelmed 😂

I’m getting back into Mini 4WD after probably 20+ years. As a kid, I never had access to a track, so I mostly just built the cars and let them run around the house.

Recently, I mentioned to the owner of a local Gunpla shop that I wanted to get back into the hobby. When I visited again this week, he surprised me with a Mini 4WD toolbox full of parts, motors, rollers, tools, and other goodies that had been collecting dust for years. He didn’t want anything for it and just wanted to pass it on to someone who would use it. I was blown away by the gesture and incredibly grateful.

Now I’m a little overwhelmed trying to sort through everything and figure out what I have, what I need, and where to start and how to sort it. 😂

From what I’ve researched, BMAX seems like a popular class, but I plan on visiting Dukwho Workshop here in Southern California to learn their local rules.

I’m thinking about focusing on box stock and BMAX? People says box stock is hard though so maybe just BMAX.

These are the kits I currently have:
Cross Spear 01 Japan Cup 2025 (VZ)
Hurricane Sonic Premium
Aero Avante AR Speed Spec Starter Pack
Mach Frame Philippine Cup Special
Gunbluster XTO Philippine Special Edition
Ray Spear (VZ)
Avante Mk.II Pro
The Grasshopper Jr.
Avante Mk.II Advanced Pack
Sonic Saber Premium (Super-II)

Which kit would you build for Box Stock and which for BMAX? Any advice for someone jumping back into the hobby after all these years? I’d prefer to just build one of these instead of buy another kit.

Thanks! Looking forward to learning and racing.

Been carrying this more lately to break in my Milt Sparks SS2 holster. Man this pistol just disappears in it. Need to send this back to NH to get more work done.
