I had never heard of this before I saw it on an eBay live and I was incredulous at best, but I love a purple stone and a concave cut and went for it anyway!!! I can’t believe the difference in color!!!

I’m ready to admit that clouds are hard. I’ve watched tutorials, taken photos, painted and repainted and it’s just overworked and reminds me of brain coral!!!

Ugh. What would you do? I want them to feel menacing like they are oncoming. Ignore the bottom of the canvas eventually those will be mountains/a city that the storm will hull over. Going to re-add the shafts of light as well eventually. Probably.

Any cloud advice or tutorials that helped you reach your aha moment? Am I overthinking it a bit? Is it a composition problem?

Since you all enjoyed my moonstone so much yesterday I thought I’d share my gateway stone to purchasing gems…a 4.25 carat lavender “moon quartz”. I know it’s heated so it is probably just marketing and really a heated amethyst but I’m really a sucker for any stone that has an inner glow.

It’s also cool to the touch and has some lines inside so I think it’s “natural” (but treated) ? Not sure if it’s actual moon quartz or if that is even a real thing but at $20ish dollars I’m happy with my first bauble to start my dragon horde. Someday I’ll make a necklace for my ballet loving little girl as it is all things dance girly and fairy feeling 🩰🩰

I found this vendor on this sub, and somehow managed to win this rainbow moonstone for a fraction per carat that others are going for. So what do we think? Is it real Madagascar moonstone (aka feldspar/white labradorite) ?? It’s a 3.09 carat pear cut, cold to the touch. Most prominent internal color is peach but I can def see blue, green, yellow, and some rose coloring as well.

I haven’t seen one so clear in coloring, others I’ve had are much milkier and show only blue.

First pic is today, second is July 10th. I’ve been treating w psoriasis cream and today started w lotrimin…but wanted to check here just in case. Doesn’t itch, hasn’t spread at all.

I worked with the incredible Maria of The North Way Studio for my 10 year anniversary reset and couldn’t be more excited!!! The diamond is my original miner princess cut. The other is an Untreated bicolor Sapphire from Earth’s Treasury. I never thought I’d want a toi et moi setting they’ve grown on me so much! I found it was perfectly meaningful and something I’m so thrilled to wear!

The sides have hand engraved stars, a mountain, and trees. She even engraved two little figures together under the boughs. Can’t believe I get to own this and enjoy it daily!!!
