Avata 360 frame. Skipped the polarizer to keep the water glare.

I purposely flew without a CPL filter here. A lot of people use them over lakes to see straight through to the bottom, but I wanted to see how the Avata 360 handled the direct sunlight. Looking through the goggles, keeping that reflection on the surface actually gives a better sense of the water's texture against the deep blue.

The drop-off from the bright green shallows to the deep water is the main feature here. Leaving the glare in helps define that transition line a lot better. If I used a filter to make the water transparent, you wouldn't get the same sense of scale or see how sudden that depth change really is from the air.

Is Dokie AI practical for internal remote team syncs or is it too bare-bones?

I’m currently reviewing our remote team’s workflow for our weekly sprint syncs and asynchronous updates. We are trying to find a faster way to turn our shared project notes and system specs into quick slides without having team members waste time manually aligning text boxes in PowerPoint or Google Slides.

I recently saw a mention of Dokie AI and ran a quick test with some nested Markdown notes. The parsing engine actually seems to handle text hierarchies and complex bullet points perfectly without overlapping the containers.

However, the layout is brutally plain. It basically looks like a sanitized, structured wiki page on a grid rather than an actual presentation deck.

For those managing remote or distributed engineering/product teams: Has anyone used this kind of ultra-minimalist, text-first style for internal syncs? Does the automated layout engine actually save enough time to justify the complete lack of design flair, or does it just end up looking too lazy and unfinished?

The wireless charger of my 3xo is honestly so bad and I'm thinking of buying my own.

Anyone here use a wireless car charger? I'm kinda confused by the price range. Some are super cheap and some are way more expensive. Is there actually a big difference between 15W and 25W? Does it mostly affect charging speed?

The main reason I'm looking for one is that the built in charger in my car makes my phone get ridiculously hot. I'd rather spend a bit more if there's an option that keeps the phone cooler.

I got my dad a new piece of home gym equipment for Father's Day

My dad has been lifting for over 30 years.

Growing up, I never thought much about it. It was just something he always did.

Sometimes I'd wake up on a weekend and he'd already finished his workout. Other times I'd hear weights moving in the garage late at night after everyone else had gone to bed.

Back then, I never really thought about how he found the time.

Now I have kids of my own, and I finally get it.

Most days, the only free time I have is before the kids wake up or after they've gone to sleep. Even finding an hour for yourself can be difficult.

That's why I have so much respect for my dad.

Through work, family, and raising kids, he somehow kept showing up and making time for something he loved.

This year, I decided to upgrade his home gym with a new piece of equipment.

The equipment itself isn't really the gift. It's just my way of saying thank you to someone who spent so many years putting his family first while never completely giving up on himself.

Now that I'm a father too, I appreciate him more than ever.

Happy Father's Day, Dad.
