Howdy y'all.

She's still pretty rough but, some of the characters are coming into focus. This mural is being painted in acrylics, wall paint samples, and posca markers. It'll get a couple coats of polyurethane whenever it's done and has cured.

Y'all are looking at about 6 months of work from blank wall to here. It'll probably take at least another 6 weeks or so before I'm all the way done. Jesus wept. It's been a lot of work... probably more than I had envisioned before starting. I think that's just the way she goes with big projects.

I thank y'all for all the support when I first started this; the kind messages really did help me get the lead out and paint more. Appreciate you.

Y'all have been awesome while I've been working on this. Some life has happened and I've been in a rut. Trying to make myself get back to painting by nerding about some cartoons.

Howdy folks.

This lil gecko is going to chill with me for an undetermined amount of time, possibly forever. I moved her out of her 10 gallon tank into this enclosure with a better heat lamp and heating pad underneath.

I had a bearded dragon as a family pet when I was a kid but.... I haven't had a reptile since then and I'm old now. I'm not sure what I'm doing but-- my ultimate goal is to make a space where this creature can exhibit natural behavior and be comfortable.

I'm handy with crafts.. can I make a painted paper mache ledge with a ramp to give this critter extra space? If I let the glue and paint cure for a week or two-- would it be safe for this lil gecko? Would I need to resin coat it?

I want to give this dude an extra story or two to explore and I want it to be safe. Whatcha think?

I love this apron, y'all. She even appliqued the lizard my daughter painted on it for me. Such a kind touch. I loved her creative use of old blue jeans and had to share.
