At some point does it become your fault?

Got a friend who's a year younger than me (21). Don't talk to her much, but somehow always keeping up with her posts online.

Lately I've noticed a bit of a trend with the stuff she posts; hoping to land an interview, supposedly aces it, gets the job, then gets fired a week/month in.

First few times it happened I was thinking "sure, we live in a city where the job market is relentless and has been for some time" until I think I've counted maybe 5 jobs in the last 7-8 months? Is that not absurd? Then she'll go on an Instagram rampage about how the job is dumb for letting her go.. amongst other kind words.

I question if maybe I'm out of touch.. I've been working the same dead end office job since I was 17, but I did originally land it through connections.

But with experience in other jobs prior to, I do understand how hard it is to get a job nowadays. I guess I'm just curious if losing the job as fast as you land it is more normal than just being flat out rejected.

Maybe others have had the same experiences? Just a weird rant.

Anyone daily use these?

Kind of a blind question but I was wondering if there's anyone out there using them off prescription as a daily thing, and how that's been if you have. Or maybe if you recommend against it..?

Thinking of grabbing a Gen 2 after finding out I can have the whole thing covered by my work insurance-- and because I'm going blind lmao

Witnessed a hit & run, but recorded license plate & driver

UPDATE: Victim seems to know now and left. Prior to, I went and left a note mentioning the plate, and make/model. Found out after, the SUV driver informed security hours later and the latter left a note with the SUV's contact info. Maybe that was in hopes that they both settle this outside of insurance, I'm not sure. Thanks to everyone for the advice.

Saw an SUV sideswipe a parked car at the lot beside my work. Ran up and snapped pictures of the victim's car, as well as catching up with the SUV driver and recording him admitting to fault with his plate number in view.

Gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him to inform our building security so that they could both file a report and maybe inform the victim, but when I checked with security minutes later, they never heard of it.

Security had me send over the pictures and videos, as well as noting down the plates of both cars; and said that they will file a report. SUV driver had also apparently left the lot shortly after I did.

My question is should I still inform the police on my end, or would I eventually be contacted to provide some sort of statement? Just wanna make sure I'm doing what I can to help out the victim.

Buying a tow hook plate holder later today, but just wondering if anyone with their plates drilled into the front of the bumper found ways to seal them.

I'm thinking of wrapping that whole plastic section rather than getting the bumper repaired or replaced for the cheapest option maybe. Anyone do the same?

Visiting from Toronto with some friends, haven't been there since 2019! I was way too young to really take it in as a kid, but I'm in my 20s now so it's plenty time.

I'm generally unknown when it comes to researching parking areas in Quebec City. Most of what I've heard is you could simply find store lots (like Walmart or mall lots) and just camp it there if all we spend is a long afternoon there.

Is that generally true? And besides Old Quebec, is it generally easier to find parking over there compared to Montreal? (we'd be back and forth)
