Holster Recs

I have a Glock 43X MOS with a red dot and I’m looking for a new appendix carry holster.

For context, I lift regularly. During my last bulk I switched to a Tier 1 Echo for strong-side carry because appendix wasn’t very comfortable. Now that I’m cutting, AIWB is comfortable again, so I’m revisiting my setup. I never found something I liked when I was slimmer. I have a Hunter Constantine belt.

Current holsters:
We The People IWB
Tier 1 Xiphos V2
CrossBreed Freedom Carry
Tier 1 Echo (strong-side)

Right now I’m leaning toward a Tenicor Velo or a Vedder LightTuck. I’m also considering a Tier 1 Axis Elite/sidecar setup.

A few questions:
Is a sidecar actually more comfortable than a simple holster for all-day carry?

Has anyone switched from a Xiphos to a LightTuck or Tenicor Velo and found it noticeably better?

I’ve found that both my We The People and Xiphos really need a wing and wedge to conceal well. Does the Velo’s built-in wedge/camming bar solve that issue?

For those carrying AIWB, what has been your most comfortable setup? Any recommendations are appreciated. Anything outside of this list helps too.

Do I need a phlster enigma?

I’ve tried t1 echo, t1 axis, vedder light tuck, and now the freedom carry from crossbreed. Nothing feels right. I’ve adjusted the cant forward and reverse on all the holsters that I can do that with. This one in particular dips like crazy and gives it even more csnt with one clip. Not a fan of this one at all.

I’ve moved it from 10-2 and can’t get it comfy. Should I pull the trigger on the phlster enigma express? I sit in the drivers seat for most the day and without finding anything comfortable, I end up leaving it at home 90% of the time.

Week 7 of fluoxetine

I have a 2.5 year old lab that got really reactive in the past 4 months. He went through a move, me and my wife getting married, and going from a farm to an apartment complex. Huge change for him. He bit my wife twice and we decided to put him on fluoxetine.

We are at the week 7 mark of a 64mg dose. He is better about some things, and the same with some things. He’s less reactive with a walking pad, kicking the feet on the couch out, and TV noises. He is still reactive to the blender, the coffee maker, smoke alarm chirp, and activity in surrounding apartments. My wife works from home and he is perfect when I’m not around. He lays down and hangs out with her. It ramps up when I’m around. I have had him since he was 2 months old and it’s been just me and him living together until the marriage.

We train him well, but the problem is sometimes his triggers will warrant a reaction, and sometimes he brushes them off. How do we train around these triggers and catch him before the reaction. I know that’s the whole point of the medicine is to have a pause between trigger and reaction and we need to train in that point, but what are the best ways to do that.

Any help is appreciated!

Upgrading. Street glide or road glide?

I have a 2009 FXDL that I have dumped a ton of money into. I have t bars and a t sport fairing on it and love it. But now I’m married and have kids and have decided it’s time to get something a bit more comfy for the others. I have no clue about touring bikes. Pros and cons of each? What makes you choose one over the other?

Trip to Rome

Me and my wife are looking at going to Rome from Charlotte sometime in August. We have enough Amex points to cover the flights. I can use Qatar or British airways there but there’s a one way delta flight on the way back and when we book it round trip it doesn’t bring that nonstop flight on the way back. Has anyone else had this issue? Should we just book one way tickets there and back? I’ve been using point me for flights.

Fluoxetine help

I have a 2.5-year-old lab. He has lived with me alone in the country for most of his life. A month ago, my wife and I got married, and my lab is not doing well with that transition and also being in an apartment complex. We are on week 2 of a 65mg dose of fluoxetine. He weighs 70 lbs. He has been a somewhat anxious dog and not too confident for most of his life, but nothing like this. This change has really messed with him and I’m hoping we can work through it.

I know that the meds are different for every dog and situation, but when did you see noticeable change? We have seen reactivity to noises and sudden movements get much worse, with barking and lunging happening every time now. We have trained him well, and he went to a 2-week board about a year ago without these issues present. Best case scenario, we can get back to training him ourselves after the medicine really kicks in. We’re both exhausted and at our wits’ end right now.

Making the switch from UScellular

Me and my wife have separate phone plans. I’m on USC and she’s on Verizon. We’re thinking about both making the switch to visible. Her Verizon plan works fine but it’s about $80 a month. My USC is $70 a month and it’s awful service. We are in the Triad NC area. Does anyone have any pros or cons for the service specially in this area. I know I have to make the switch. There isn’t really any family plan that can compare to each of us having our own visible plan.

Additionally, we travel abroad a couple weeks every year and I’m wondering if anybody has experience with dual eSIM on their phone. If I am doing a firm payments, can I add an international eSIM for my travel dates?

I’m relocating from Virginia to North Carolina. I currently have a Virginia Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit. In North Carolina, I’m required to complete an 8-hour course and training, along with paying a significant amount of fees. Is there any alternative route I could take instead? Honestly, I’m not too keen on attending a class for 8 hours, especially since I’ve already completed a similar course in Virginia.
